Is your hypertension well controlled? Flushing may be associated with food and alcohol intake as in your case. This may be a normal reaction of your body since hot and spicy meals as well as alcohol may cause dilation of blood vessels and increase the blood flow to the area which causes the flushing. However,it is best to have this assessed by your physician.Hormonal imbalance, an underlying allergic reaction, and certain medications may cause this.
3 things that may be wrong with me... I am 21 years old. I smoke 15-20 a cigarettes a day. I have moderate allergies to dust, pollen, etc. Asthma. Non-treated heart arrhythmia. I workout twice a week. Eat a "however I am feeling today" diet. Take 2 medications as needed: Abeuderol inhaler (once/twice a week), and Allegra Allergy (2-3 times a month) Daily ongoing symptoms; -Disorientation randomly throughout the day. -Moderate memory loss; Where did I put my keys...
I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about 10 years ago. At the time of diagnosis, I had a red rash all over my legs and torso. In time that went away, but over the course of years I've developed a skin condition similar to hives. They appear nearly anywhere, but rarely on my face or scalp. Have any of you ever experienced anything like this? Do you think it is associated with my thyroid? Over the years I've changed laundry detergents, soaps, etc...
The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.
I first was told to take Sudafed, and then told to take Mucinex-D. After having bad experiences with those, my doctor gave me Allegra-D. Well, after figuring out that the "-D" in these medicines were making me crazy because of the Pseudoephidrine, I quickly got off of them. Every time I took them, I became very "jittery" and felt "hyper" but without the energy.
Allergies have progressively gotten worse. My family doctor put me on Allegra D 12 hour and Singular for all of 2008. Last summer however, July 2009 something just starting happening with Ear Fullness in my left ear. Went to ENT at MUSC he stated everything looked ok. Prescribed a CT of Sinuses..everything checked out. Still had major issues..so he prescribed an MRI..all good. Audiology tests were even good. The left ear always was full, Netti Pot would clear it for about 3 minutes....
he did go through allergy testing about a month ago, thats when they took the blood work.
I was prescribed Flonase for 30 days, which didn't work, then prescribed a 7 day steroid medication, this didn't help either. I have tried Allegra D, Mucinex D, Mucinex, Sudafed, Sudafed PE, Afrin, etc. I am currently trying Zyrtec. Is there anything that I can take that's OTC in order to drain the fluid? This is becoming very frustrating and miserable. I would love to have the fluid drain and feel normal again.
I take Allegra D (an antihistamine and decongestant) and motrin because I cannot take tylenol. I have had a cold or a mild version of the flu at different times since starting tx (am better now). I wouldn't take anything without talking to your doctor but the allegra d was deemed ok by my dr and it is now OTC. I know it is ok with peg+riba+ and incivek. Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon!
He took a look and said I don't even have an infection. He suggested I start regularly using my Neti Pot. I'm keeping it up with the Flonase and Allegra-D. My appointment with the local ENT is on Friday, where he will see if there are any blockages and what is going on. Thanks for the help!
I TEND TO RUSH OFF TO EVERY DOCTOR, FEAR THE WORST (CANCER) AND DWELL. JUST STARTED TAKING ALLEGRA-D LAST WEDNESDAY ALONG WITH NASONEX. I WENT TO MY GP ABOUT A WEEK & HALF AGO SINCE I WAS HAVING SLIGHT EARACHE (GONE NOW) & A FEELING OF THE FLOOR MOVING OR BOUNCING WITH ME WHEN I WOULD WALK (THIS FEELING STARTED A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO AFTER FLYING TO CANCUN). SHE SAID THAT I HAD FLUID IN MY EAR TO TAKE ALLEGRA-D, NASONEX AND TRY TO POP MY EARS AT LEAST 3 X A DAY.
Talk to your doctor. I had same problem and Allegra (Plain, without "d") was recommended. I take one before bedtime and it helps.
For most people, these symptoms are no more than a mere nuisance and most can get by without any medications or for others, simple over-the-counter medications (see chart). However, some people with allergies feel completely miserable, with poor sleep and severe daytime fatigue.
For the passed year and possibly even longer I have had this never ending sore throat , I go to doctors and they always say its allergies and they give me allegra d and every time i take it and my sore throat is gone , I can actually enjoy swallowing again .. But once my script is out then it comes back and in the mornings it feels like i have been left in a desert and when I swallow it feels like I am swallowing nails .
But Three days ago I strated eating fruit and the pain is gone but the bowel movements are still torn up (color and consistency). I take Allegra-D 24hour but this started before I started taking that. Any ideas??
about 800 mg of Ibuprofen for the pains- very bruised muscles and no cracked ribs; and Allegra D (stronger than regular Allegra and once a day versus twice). If you have symptoms like mine, see your doctor about the above. I hope it will help some one. I felt so horrible that none of my problems were going away. But after a combo of these things for two days, I stopped coughing, the pain subsided, I can breathe and I'm feeling almost normal.
I take scrophularia sometimes but don't know if it is anti inflammatory what do you take for candida? I take bendrayl and allegra d but it doesn't seem to do much- Im so tired and have headaches and terrible fog from the sleep disordered breathing I sleep on a machine and oxygen every night I'm trying a low carb no wheat, no bread diet. is gluten like a wheat or bread? maybe I have celiac. the prednisone I heard can cause pancreas damage and diabetes? is that true?
Allegra-D 12 (2 x per day) Ibuprofen 400mg - every 6 hours (as needed) Description – feels like a pressure slightly right of center on top of my head that appears almost randomly during waking hours. It does not interfere or prevent me from sleeping. At the worst, the pain has been is approximately 5 out of 10; mostly I would call it ‘discomfort.
The only prescription med I take is Allegra-D for allergies. Had my gallbladder removed in 1995. But for the past six months I've had noticeable blood during bowel movements and a lot of gas. To be even more explicitly gross: sometimes the bowel movements come out unusually thin-looking (but I wouldn't go so far as to call them "ribbons." Ribbons are those airy strips of cloth girls use to tie back their hair).
05 (anti-anxiety) prescription Don't get hooked --I use both very rarely and only when it's bad-- Allegra D for allegry control and sinus pressure relief.

I suggest speaking with your pharmacist, he/she would know of any such interaction. (Could you have it confused with alcohol, which is a huge no-no with benzos?) I'm sorry the therapists you've tried didn't help you much. Sometimes it takes us awhile to find a good "fit" with someone that we are really comfortable with and trust. I wish you would give it another try.
One of our most revered faculty members, Lee Archer, MD, a neurologist, provided a copy of the handout he gives to his headache patients. With his permission, I adapted it for use with my own patients. I thought it was so good that I asked him if I could publish it on my blog so that others could benefit from his advice. Headaches are incredibly common and usually frustrating for providers.
I Switched from Allegra-D to plain allegra, the decongestant was causing me to feel jiterry and I was up all night the first day that I took it. I still hear crickets in my ears. The only thing that drowns them out is when I take my dog fo a walk in the woods. The crickets outside are louder than the crickets inside. That's so nice!
You don't have AIDP or CIDP since motor weakness would have progressed earlier than 4 months time after the time when your sensory symptoms started. Alcohol (over a long period of time) can cause a polyneuropathy which manifests as numbness/tingling that usually starts in the feet/lower leg and progresses to the hands, but not to the entire body. Lead poisoning usually manifests with a wrist drop/motor weakness which doesn't sound like what you have.
I am currently suffering from a odd/rare condition where my body is attacked with extremely overwhelming/irritating little tiny pin pricks all over my body which i believe is activated by rise in body temp or any type of adrenaline triggering motions/actions. condition is getting worse and its restricting me from more and more daily routines. i have seen few doctors already but it is very difficult to convince them since i look physically fine. More and more,i feel hopeless... PLEASE HELP!
Chocolate will set hives off, as will other candy, (maybe sugar) and always alcohol. Sometimes it is worth having a drink anyway and deal with the hives later. ;) Right now I have to decide whether to try to get rid of the hives again, or just learn to live with them. I see my specialist tomorrow, I think I already know his opinion. I don't like either option, I just want them to go away on their own!!! Not gonna happen though.
I too, have been dealing with the random swelling since April 07. I have been to allergists, rhuematologists, internist, and neurologist. The docs keep referring to the swelling as angioedema ~ google it. I've had swollen eye lids, the soles of my feet will be hot to the touch and I am unable to walk from the pain, swollen finger tips, swollen nostril, my lip will look like I was punched in the face. The docs can't figure it out. Also, I have had a recent weight gain of 30lbs(Aug.125 - Dec.
A viral infection doesn't improve with antibiotics as these infections do. A virus hijacks your own body's healthy cells and uses it to reproduce and spread. A bacteria is its own living cell and multiplies and spreads on its own and is easier to destroy in that process. Speaking of outbreaks, influenza is finally reaching Palo Alto right around now.
