Allegra d compared to claritin d

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra d compared to claritin d

allegra

Avatar m tn If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes. Since starting Claritin-D, I no longer have that problem unless it wears off before I go to bed.
Avatar f tn I would talk to your doctor or midwife before taking anything. But the doctor gave me a list of oks to take while sick/allergies/constipation/nauseous and everything else and it says you can take A. Benadryl B. Claritin C. Zyrtec D. Allegra But like I said. Ask your doctor before taking anything.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Dog by the time I got to read your reply I had already purchased a product suggested by live chat pharmacist Ronda R...she said Allegra D or Claritin D(generic) and local Walgreens sold my wife Wal-itin D........contacted my Dr. and he also stated the same as you 'I would suggest not taking pseudoephedrine with metoprolol. It could elevate her heart rate. Loratadine by itself would be fine.
Avatar f tn I have bad allergies which is causing the coughing and they said I can use Claritin, Zyrtec or Allegra. Claritin does absolutely nothing for me, so I asked what about Claritin D and it has been linked to birth defects--- so thats a no... I tried zyrtec and still no relief... my body is intolerant to Allegra... so I just have to suffer until baby is out and I can go back on my allergy shots (which will be after I stop BF'ing)--- the worst part about it...
Avatar m tn I started taking an allergy pill from Costco called Allerclear. But it seemed to do little to nothing. Last week I started on Claritin D for the congestion. I had a couple good days while I was away from home but now the drug is being over powered. What else can I take? Should I move to the regular Claritin? How long should I give the Claritin D before I move off of it? Separate questions, I believe most pollens are gone now, here in the Chicago area.
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
Avatar n tn I asked my pharmacist today because I have the same allergy issues - je said Lortadine OTC is perfectly safe (Claritin) just NO Sudafed or Psuedaphedrine (Claritin D or Allegra D). He also said my Flonase is safe. I take both on bad days, but I also diffuse OnGuard Essential Oil which helps tremendously as well. Hope that helps you!
Avatar f tn now I am havin problems clearing my throat all time.pulmonologist suggested Claritin d with my nexium.doesnt seem to be working...any other allergy meds would help....maybe Zyrtec?
Avatar f tn My doctor says only zyrtech or Claritin or benadryl but he said no to Allegra
401095 tn?1351391770 have not tried claritin in a while...got zyrtec-d...tylenol sinus...polyhista.something...allegra-d...mucamist....will try the claritin...yey...maybe I need some expresso....
Avatar m tn Hi there, I understand your frustration because I've been going through this for two weeks now. My allergic reaction started when I ate a fry that was mixed with shrimps. Sure enough the bloodwork showed I'm allergic go shrimp. Claritin and benadryl won't do much. She can try allegra and I've been told zyrtec is good. Allegra makes me super drowsy and causes muscle aches but everyone tolerates it differently. She should see an allergist.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn I have had various allergies all my life (none life-threatening), when I was a child I had a lot of food allergies that have since gone away, and I have always been allergic to cats, dust, mold, and pollen, most of which required very occasional antihistamines to manage symptoms. But just within the past two years or so I have started developing more serious food and inhalant allergies that continue to get worse. It seemed to start with serious reactions to various types of beer and wine.
Avatar f tn My midwife said to watch out for meds with a d in the name (ie allegra d, claritan d, etc) but that most without the d are okay to use on occasion.
Avatar f tn I feel so much better overall when I take Claritin D but I cannot stand feeling like I have to take something to feel better. How did this situation work out for you?
Avatar f tn My OB told me that I was aloud to take my Claritin d for now but since the decongestant can make your blood pressure go up I will just have to watch as I get closer to my due date. She told me I could switch to regular Claritin if this start to effect my blood pressure. So I would always ask her OB but my doctor didn't really have any other concerns about it. Good luck and Congrats to you both!
Avatar f tn Hi Pinkdragonfly, I just finished reading your post. My suggestion would be to make an appointment with your family doctor. Does you doctor know you've been taking Claritin D for 2 years ? That's a long time. Anyway, I would make an appointment with your family doctor and let your doctor help you wean yourself off Claritin D. I've also heard Claritin D is also not good for your liver long term. Don't know if this is true.
Avatar f tn like Claritin D or Allegra D...always buy the generic versions of those to help save you money, because they are quite expensive for a month's supply. If that medicine doesn't help, or you have those other symptoms I mentioned, you may have a sinus infection and require an antibiotic to cure it! Good luck!
Avatar f tn I usually take Allegra at night for allergies but I picked up generic Claritin at the dollar general and took it last night. I woke up twice during the night with diarrhea. In the am I was nauseous and achy but went to work where I started to feel so dizzy i almost blacked out several times then threw up. After that I felt a bit better but still not 100%. Could this be a reaction to the Claritin? I've taken it before but not in a long time. Thank you!
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
