allegra

Avatar n tn For several mornings I have to clear my throat, and the roof of my mouth is very tender, when I try to clear nasal passage through mouth I have severe bleeding, this area is very tender and raw feeling. I have to apply pressure bandage to stop bleeding. I take Allegra allergy medication, and Nasacort nose spray. What can I do to stop tenderness and bleeding, and could this be infection?
Avatar f tn I have bad allergies so I take Allegra and over the past 5 years I have had several sinus infections and I have been on several different allergy meds and antibiotics. I started acupuncture this year and no sinus infection so far and I have cut all meds but Allegra out and found that even when I was not taking anything even Allegra that I was still so very tired and sleepy most every day which is why they did the EBV test and several other tests.
Avatar f tn If you blood pressure goes up after stopping you should start the Allegra again. This would also be a good indicator that the blood pressure is allergy related. Of course ask your doctor if it is all right to stop any medication. When the allergies pop up try to take some collagen. I would also recommend to stop eating all wheat, rye, and barley for one month to see if it helps.
Avatar f tn Last night my blood pressure and pulse got high. ( sys: 175 dia: 144 pules: 100 ) It went down after another dose of Enalapril, but my pules was up and down all night. My speech was weird ( i was pretty tired and hadn't slept in a while.) and my mouth was getting very dry. Laying down made my feel like my pulse was getting higher. For the past 3 days i have had bad diarrhea, which burns something awful and is mostly yellow liquid. The corners of my eyes have been hurting as well.
Avatar n tn The pain got really bad with my sinuses, particularly on the left side of my face....ear pressure, tinnitus, sinus pressure, eye pain (not to say it was not on the right side, too, but that was the primary location of the pain). I went into the dr. and got on two different antibiotics over a 3 week period of time (Z-pac, Omnicef). This did not clear anything up so I went back in with the same symptoms. She stated if there was any infection that by this time I would be fine.
901600 tn?1242069620 I'm 56 5'5" 200 pounds. I am on medication for low thyroid, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The last couple days I get light headed if I look up. Normal activity is ok, walking doing things around the house but when I look up I get that inbalanced feeling. Everyone around me is complaining of allergies, I've been put on Allegra diferent times for my ears being full of fluid. Could this be allergy related?
Avatar n tn I to suffer from constant sinus pressure and I am taking allegra D, Astelin nasal spray and singulair. These medications work wonders but if I miss a dose I suffer terribly and it puts me out of work. After many years of having several ear and sinus issues my doctor decided to do testing I was finally diagnosed with vertigo and eustastion tube disfunction with severe allergies which can cause severe sinus pressure and other issues This is why I am on three differant medicines.
Avatar f tn Daily medicine is Omeprazole taken everyday for 3 years and Allegra everday for 2 years. Two years ago I started to have migraines. The first one I had was in the middle of work. It just came on out of nowhere and didn't last long but returned a few minutes later. Which began a cycle of what I thought was cluster headaches. I would get stabbing pains for about a minute or two then a few minutes of relief. This would last for about an hour.
Avatar m tn I would try some OTC allergy meds like Claritin or Allegra. If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar m tn Each time, I complete course of antibiotics, I begin sneezing up a storm !! My eyes feel horrible, swollen, pressure, ithcy, etc.... Opthomology did a very in depth exam of my eyes twice, could not find anything abnormal. Since last year, I've tried Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, and now Xyzal. No allergy meds works, I still sneeze up a storm. All my troubles began after allergy shots. Any feedback appreciated.
Avatar f tn s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Avatar n tn I had high blood pressure and a racing heart so I was put on Metropolol for it and shortly after I developed a persistent cough. My doctor changed me to Atenolol but the cough did not go away. This has been going on for several years. The dry cough starts very mild and infrequent, but over a couple weeks it becomes more frequent and within 4 weeks it's almost constant. I have to sleep sitting up. It interferes with eating, sleeping, talking on the phone, etc.
Avatar n tn Hello, my upper lid of the left eye has been swollen for the past 2-3 years. I went to numerous eye doctors they all prescribed me eye drops from allergy, but the swelling never went away. Sometimes I don't feel like it is swollen, although it is, and sometimes I feel pressure on my eye. There is no bumps and my eye is not red. Is there anytihng you can suggest?
Avatar m tn 280 Current Medications : amiodarone, coumadin, Allegra, levalbuterol, guaifenesen, metoprolol, paw-paw Medical Conditions : emphasema, exercise induced asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis And I've been in and out of afib at least 2 years and I suspect much longer. Recently having high blood pressure issues.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar m tn Three years ago, I went thru this test and everything was okay but I had some sort of allergy after one day with quite some swelling on face ( Edema) and had to take a shot of steroid and Allegra 180 for 3 to 4 days. I was givena lot of pressure lowering medicine as part of procedure. Is this kind of reaction known ? If I have to test again, what should I do. I also learn that it isnthe same dye used in Angiography ??? I am not heart patient now.
Avatar f tn It is usually triggered by loud noises (or pressure?), but once it starts it continues with very little noise/pressure, being activated even by my own voice when I'm speaking quietly. I can also hear this sound even when there is no noise, if I lightly touch my right cheek next to my ear. Recently I noticed that I have a small lump on my cheek just in front of my ear. It is only on my right side and it is a little sensitive if I press on it.
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
Avatar f tn Right before he goes to bed he gets a pounding headache but says it feels like more pressure then anything. His doctor gave him a prescription for sinus and that has done nothing. He will go to the bathroom like 3 or 4 times and sometimes its normal sometimes its not. I dont know what is going on with him and would like to know what you think.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a cyst in each of my maxillary sinuses and a badly deviated septum. I have been dizzy, terrible teeth and jaw pain as well as facial pain and pressure. The dr prescribed Allegra, singular, Flonase and Asteleine nasal sprays. I am not having any relief. I was on the Asteline sir 2. -3 weeks now and the other 3 meds I just started. 2 weeks ago I had a ctscan and it didn’t show an infection. My teeth didn’t hurt then just had a headache and pressure.
