Aldara for tattoo removal

Common Questions and Answers about Aldara for tattoo removal

aldara

Avatar f tn t get tattoo removal either....I thinjk tattoo removal is even worse than getting the tattoo itself!
Avatar m tn In a few days, the wart quite literally falls off, your skin will turn a purple color, and clear up normally with no scarring. Whereas Aldara has to be applied for over a month and may not produce any results. And please, put away your pride... these doctors see this sort of thing every day. You aren't shocking them or showing them something they are going to judge you for. You caught a virus, same as the flu, chicken pox, common cold, it's all the same.
652407 tn?1300737199 Hello, I am not very sure of the efficacy and the related side effects of these tattoo removal creams but laser removal although expensive has been found to be the best treatment for tattoo removal. Another technique is Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. It is dermal enhancer in which instead of laser light, it uses high intensity light. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn 1. Should I wait and try Aldara Cream or just do the laser treatment, knowing that I didn't do any screening test?2. Can the genital warts get more spread after laser treatment since is in early stages of warts? 3. In future can Genital warts be cleared from my body and be able to get married with kids? 4. Is Co2 Laser Treatment is the best wart removal option? Hope to have suitable answers from you. Thanks in return.
Avatar n tn Question - I get laser tattoo removal treatments every 6-8 weeks and pre-treatment the technician uses an ice roller (looks like a lint-roller but the roller is cold metal) and rubs it on the tattoo and does this again after the laser is performed. Because the laser can cause pinpoint bleeding I am concerned that she didn't sanitize the roller before she rubbed it on my tattoo (which was bleeding). Is there any risk here? Thank you for your answers.
Avatar f tn I had a tattoo done about 2 months ago and next to it about 3cm away was a mole I had removed yesterday I have noticed that when they have pulled the skin to stitch the small area that my tattoo looks stretched so it makes the picture look out of whack once this heals will it make my tattoo look back in shape again????????? Probably sounds very vain....
303706 tn?1296876149 So has anybody had a tattoo over a stretchmark and it didnt come out how it was supposed to?? My job has a tattoo removal treatment sessions, somebody else suggested to get them lasered off, do you think thats a better way.
2206935 tn?1373638605 I've been dealing with this for nearly a year now...tried the aldera (no improvement), Dr. removed w/acid procedure (some improvement), had laser surgery (worked well, but came back), I've had repeat trips to the Dr. for removal w/acid treatment...So far breakouts have been less severe (meaning # of warts) and the time in between breakouts is getting longer With that said I would not recommend aldera or laser surgery...
Avatar f tn the only thing I can say is the normal pain of a tattoo is nothing compared to tattooing a scar... it hurts like hell. A lot of tattoo places won't even try because scar tissue is unpredictable & for some tattoos great, but for others it doesn't take properly & looks worse then the scars themselves. I would try a dermatologist for options & try scar removal options. Bio-Oil may help lighten it.
Avatar m tn I also had tattoo laser removal and after my second treatment developed this rash. Initially it was around my tattoo and is still the main affected area, however it spread through across my body. I have seen a dermatologist nearly every month for the past 8 months and we have tried creams steroids anti histamines etc and nothing seems to be working! I've even had biopsy done on the affected areas. My dr is left scratching his head and I'm obviously still not permanently treated!
Avatar f tn So I found out last week that I have HPV (low-risk with genital warts). I'm really depressed, it feels like its the end of the world! My whole life I have practiced safe sex (except with my bf who I've been with for 2 years) and I have gotten yearly pap tests that came out normal. I really thought I was a healthy person until these bumps showed up! The doctor prescribed me Aldara cream and I just started using it last week, she said it can take up to 8-16 weeks for the warts to go away.
Avatar n tn I had no problems with it, no skin growths. I was on it for a year and due to insurance issues stopped taking it for the year after. That whole year I was NOT on the pill I only had a period once or twice. When I saw the gynecologist two months ago she did not express concern with that detail and gave me a prescription for that same birth control pill. I have been taking it for two months now and my periods have been normal. My other question is: Is Aldara the best way to remove them?
Avatar m tn I have been receiving cryotherapy for 3 years and they always come back. I was told that Aldara will help get my immune system involved in fighting the virus so I will have a better chance of losing the warts. Has anyone out there used thus treatment ? My next step if this doesn't work will have to be the cauterization method, ouch.
Avatar f tn I'm getting tested today (9.5 months) after getting a tattoo. I was tested at 6.5 weeks after the tattoo for sexual reasons. I'm afraid for some odd reason that the place wasn't sterilized. It was at a licsenced shop in Clark County, Nevada which has stringent laws but I'm still losing sleep. I can't think of anything else and I'm driving my poor boyfriend crazy with worry. Do I need the HIV test?
Avatar f tn Any one planning to get a tattoo for baby?? I want to get both kids DOB down my spine in roman numerals.. not sure any ideas???..
Avatar m tn I have had genital warts for over a year. I can trace my aquisition of HPV to an encounter 2 months before my first outbreak. I have had all visible warts frozen off 8-9 times this past year and they keep coming back. I have completed 2 courses of therapy on Aldara and that just seemed to make the warts grow faster. I have used salicylic acid, 4 weeks of duct tape occulsion therapy and have started regularly taking echinacea to boost my immune system.
Avatar m tn When do i stop using the aldara? I was proscribed enough for 16 weeks but i am not sure if i should just continue using the cream for the whole 16 weeks even if all the affected areas have started to erode and turn red and raw or if i should discontinue using it and see if any newer warts develop.
Avatar f tn aldara is very irritating to the skin sometimes. Your doctor thinking it could be herpes is a very common thing. Better to err on the side of caution though. You've both been tested for herpes before so the chances of this being genital herpes is very low. Not sure if either of you tested + for hsv1 or not on your testing you had done. We will gladly look at both ofyour herpes blood tests from back when you were tested if youw ant a 2nd opinion on them too.
Avatar m tn I have been using aldara for about a month on my genital warts and have had no burning or tenderness that I have heard people talk about on these forums. It has been working great and I am noticing my warts are starting to shrink. The other morning after using my aldara cream overnight I noticed a lump under my skin where I applied some aldara. It is very tender to touch and very noticeable.
Avatar m tn I have 3 warts on the side of my penis and they've been there for about 9 months. They're somewhat small. 2 are on the side of my penis and 1 on the top of my testicle. I'm positive they're genital warts. I'm just not sure what type of doctor to see and what methods will they use to remove them? I spoke with someone who had them removed using condylox gel and he said it took 3 days on, 2 days off, and then 3 days on again but he said it was amazingly painful.
Avatar f tn I'm a 36 year old female who has not had sex for about three years. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with a mild case of genital warts (likely from my last partner from three years ago). I had unprotected sex with him a couple of times and later I found out he was rather promiscuous and of course I regret this.
Avatar n tn yag tattoo removal machine, work in the same way to remove post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Will it be suitable for me.
Avatar n tn i used aldara and i worked for me i used it for bout 2 wks n they went away. but dey came back.
Avatar n tn 6 months ago when I first discovered that I have genital warts I had them removed through cryotherapy on the spot. I also started to take ActivaMune regularly. Some warts grew back (4 out of a dozen), two new ones appeared as well. No serious signs of improvement, really. I also live a pretty healthy lifestyle and am a male in my twenties. My question is about next steps from here and it's centered around treatment. Should I keep getting them removed? Is removal just cosmetic?
Avatar f tn I'm a 36 year old Indian American female living in NYC who has not had sex for the last three years. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with a mild case of genital warts-10 or so (likely from my last partner from three years ago but unsure). I had unprotected sex with him a couple of times during our relationship and later I found out he was rather promiscuous (now I regret this).
