aldara burn

Just started a treatment of Aldara today. I always seem to have a few small genital warts on me. Does anyone know what I can expect. I am 31 and healthy in every way. I have been receiving cryotherapy for 3 years and they always come back. I was told that Aldara will help get my immune system involved in fighting the virus so I will have a better chance of losing the warts. Has anyone out there used thus treatment ?

dont use aldara. I think ACV even does better than aldara although some people here would disagree with my opinion. You can get mini surgery like electrocauterization, cryotherapy, or use podofin and its variants. These three, afaik, are better than anything else to treat warts.

How was this diagnosed? There is no reliable test for men and HPV if you don't have actual warts present. Type 61 is a low risk strain, meaning it's not associated with higher chances for cancers. The IFN cream probably means that it's an interferon cream - though obviously I can't be sure about that without seeing it. Are you just supposed to rub it all over your penis 3 times a day for 8 weeks?

After a whole week of having this constant itch and burn and continuing to use the Aldara I went back to my Dr. He scared me so bad because he sai "these aren't the bumps you had before, how old is your boyfriend and do you only have sex with him?" I answered yes and that I knew. He did a culture and a blood test and told me to call him in a week because it looks like I have herpes. I started crying on the spot. He prescribed me Herpes meds a cream and pills.

In all honesty, I didn’t apply the cream correctly and just applied I️t all over my vulva area. This area began to itch and burn so I had stopped using the cream which didn’t present much of an issue because my warts had cleared up pretty quickly. Now I noticed that both sides of my vulva has been very itchy and when I checked in the mirror I noticed that I had a rug burn looking rash and the area had a whitish/pinkish hue.

Went to the doctor in June of this year and she prescribed with Aldara because she thought it was molluscum contagiosum which I was told to put on 3 times a week. So I started using the cream and noticed no difference on my inner thighs or butt. But when I put it on my labia it turned into a sore and is terribly itching and burning now and now has a lump/bulge. No idea what it is or how I can help the burning and itching which is causing a lot of pain.

I would ultimately suggest you go to the nearest womans clinic, or if that's not available, see your physician. In the beginning I spent 100's of dollars on the acid burning procedure, and it didn't work. Then the cream was the next best thing, but if tha's not working, maybe freezing it?

I have hpv,and i had a reoccurence of gw so m doc 0rescribed aldara. ******* hell hole in a packet. after only s couple days of using it, yesterday my vagina lips swoll up along with the middle portion too. i began to walk funny because it would hurt to bump them together. i was at work still and needed to home asap.

All test came back negative and the doctor diagnosed the condition as Molluscum and prescribed Aldara. The burning went away but I still have the bumps to this day and I also developed some bumps that look like Molluscum on my arms and neck. The Aldara suppressed the bumps temporarily but they have continued to go away for a month or two at a time and then re-appear. I have seen another doctor a few times. He diagnosed the bumps as Genital Warts and he treated the bumps with acid.

herpes isn't treated with nitrogen. are you sure these aren't warts or hpv?

and after 2 weeks use i have had good results so far so if i were you i would go see your dermatologist if he recomends surgery set the date for about 1 1/2 months away and get them to prescribe you aldara in the meantime. use aldara and within 4 weeks if the warts have not reduced in size or started to clear then just go in for surgery.

I used aldara with great success. However, I have read it has a higher success rate in females than males. Still, I do not know how credible this information exactly is. I found using Aldara to clear up the majority of warts, and then using a different treatment (such as cryo) to clear any remaining warts seemed to be effective. I used a combination of TCA and Aldara, and have been wart free for a month now (took 3 months to entirely clear).

I have had genital warts for 5 years now and ive been using aldara for quite some time. aldara seems to work pretty well for the most part. while using aldara frequeantly i would experience some side effects like some pain or swelling after using it for a long period of time. i would stop the use and the redness/ swelling would go away and i would contine use and everything would be okay.

I have recently been using Aldara cream to try and eliminate my genital warts (HPV). Although the warts minimised in size after three months my doctor told me to stop using aldara because of the ineffectiveness and incredible sores and lesions that i endured whilst treatment. He reccomended me to a dermatologist for the treatment of the HPV.

My doctor gave me a pack of Aldara. However it says it is very painfull and bad stuff could possibly happen to me. Do I have hpv ? am I gonna be doomed with this for life or can this be fixed. It is just at the tip inside. Does not burn when I pee and no pain except when it is touched on top. only on one side in urethra. What do I have? it looks slighly white one oneside of the tip and normal pink on the other side....

What? are you applying Aldara on entire genital area? aldara is to be applied on the warts only and not the surrounding area... did a doctor diagnose you for genital warts and prescribed Aldara for you? If not so, please see a dermatologist and first get a correct diagnoses and talk to him about application of this cream... a mild irritation, soreness and itching is part of the healing process with this cream...

hi there i have recently been using aldara cream for my anal warts (HPV) I have used it twice so far friday and monday. And today (tuesday) i have been feeling muscle pain, and i guess some kind of fever i feel cold or hot at various times of the day but i can function... but during the weekend i did play soccer and hockey and did sweat a lot and ran a lot.

I have a few questions about using aldara. 1) is it harmful to shave on off days from using aldara? 2) Can shaving make the warts worse? 3) Is sex okay when the cream is not on the skin? Thank you!

Hi. I used Aldara for two weeks and my warts went away. I didn't have to scratch or scrape. I don't think you should puncture them at all. The cream caused some severe skin reactions for me (and it was on my bum :( ) so I stopped using it two weeks in for about a week and then when I went to start applying the cream again the warts were gone.
