Alcohol rehab success rates

Common Questions and Answers about Alcohol rehab success rates

rehab

Avatar m tn Patients with at least 80% of the scheduled cumulative dose and duration did not significantly differ between the three groups. SVR rates according to alcohol consumption were 60% for non-drinkers (group A), 57% in group B and 50% in group C. No significant negative influence from alcohol consumption during therapy was observed in the multiple regression analysis for treatment success.
Avatar f tn Going to rehab is a great way to get clean, learn about addiction and get off to a clean start, but there are a lot of caveats involved. Like the previous posters indicated, the person must have the desire to truly change their life. If they don't, rehab likely won't work. However, each step that is taken is a step closer to a life of sobriety. Sometimes it takes people several attempts before they finally see success.

Avatar f tn Please no judgements as this is a question because I have a few friends on this treatment. Can anyone please send me links to literature on the cure rate when alcohol is involved. I have been told a lot that there isn't a high chance of it interfering with treatment and have read a little as well. I would like to know if this is correct.
Avatar f tn So I just got a BFN from my first IVF cycle and I am very devastated. I have five frozen blastocyst embryos. I've read a lot about success rates of FET but it seems that they are much lower than those for fresh cycles and I am really freaking out because I definitely cannot afford to go for another fresh cycle in this lifetime. I've also read that usually 3 day embies survive better under freezing/thawing process than blastocysts and all my frozen embies are blastocysts.
Avatar f tn That is 1) We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, and that our lives have become unmanageable. So many people get through the detox, at home (which can be dangerous and is often done though a medically supervised detox). It's like it's all or nothing. Those that don't have the opportunity to go to a residential / outpatient Rehab Facility do not instead go to an Addictions Therapist and use them for the therapy that is many times necessary to quit an addictive substance.
Avatar n tn Detoxing off of alcohol cold turkey can be very dangerous if the person has developed a profound dependance on alcohol. There can be very very serious, even life-threatening withdrawl symptoms. If he's at the point where he's puking from withdrawl it may not be safe for him to detox on his own. I would seriously SERIOUSLY consider having him detox in a hospital or rehab center. Not only will they treat his physical state so he can detox safely, they'll help treat his alcoholism.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
1838380 tn?1329874153 I tell you my story. I chose an RE closest to my home, then insurance people called me to tell that if the doctor's success rates are low, insurnace coverage will be low too. if success rates are high, they cover better, so then i had to change to another doctor 40 miles awy from home. its a pain going every alternate day during cycle, wake up at 5 am and get ready and stuff.
Avatar n tn However, different labs and IVF programs have success rates for IUI for less than 14% strict morphology. In this case, your labs stated that 5-8% is the gray area. I think it is worth trying intrauterine insemination for gray area numbers since it is cost effective. However, the success rate would be lower than if if were 14%. If the number was less than 5 % then intrauterine success rates are so low that most doctors recommend IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Avatar f tn I can vouch for Elimidrol also, that stuff is a life saver!!! Also, tramuser99 I'm not sure what point you are trying to get at. Suboxone and methadone are opiates and addictive. Clonodine is addictive. Phenibut is addictive. Thomas recipe barely does anything and is only a couple ingredients (not even remotely comparable). Elimidrol is not addictive and way better than all those options. No comparison.
Avatar f tn I didn't know about Gerard Butler... So it helped him then?? Do you know the guitarist on Celebrity Rehab that died?? Ive been trying to think of his name. I think he was with Alice in Chains?? Mike Star or something?? That was so sad! He was so young and had a sweet spirit. I stopped watching the show after that! AMBER PORTWOOD: Prescription pills LAMAR ODOM: a little bit of everything KIRSTIE ALLEY: She said rehab saved her life.
Avatar n tn Has anyone read the book The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure by Chris Prentiss? My wife has been reading it, but I just can't get myself past the fact that the guy owns a rehab facility in Beverly Hills that costs over 50,000 dollars a month to join. Has anyone read the book and is it any good? I am now 33 days clean and getting better! Thank you!
317822 tn?1223241475 Detox gets you off the drugs safely, and a little of what rehab does. Rehab deals with learning about your addiction and how to live life without drugs. Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Hope this helps?

691236 tn?1311199974 I would think Clomid would have about the same success rate. If you notice, clinics publish their ivf success rates, but not their iui success rates... That said, I do know someone who got pregnant with iuis twice (on the second try each time). She was on pretty high doses of injectibles (225 follistim). I would ask your dr about his or her success rates. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I also understand that ablation can be considered as a first line treatment for WPW. This is because success rates are high and complication rates are low for ablation of WPW due to accessory pathways. 3. I have read that success rates for ablation of Afib are not as good, and complication rates are relatively high for Afib, and so ablation is considered after drug treatment has failed for Afib. Perhaps you have had your WPW ablated but not your afib.
1215867 tn?1267991628 I want to do the ablation, but the EP said that it doesnt always work. How many people usually have success rates? Next I have SVT, people that have this do they experience both PVC's and PAC's? I have come to realize the less active that I am the less palpitations that I have, why is that? I traveled the 7 hrs to Cleveland Clinic well worth the drive. If anyone needs a good E.P. or Cardiologist they have the best and they do help with travel; and lodging if needed.
Avatar f tn I don't know the actual success rates but I got pregnant on the first FET that we did and now have a 16 month old son... We are going to do another FET tomorrow. ..
