Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
Avatar f tn Being removed from the chaos that drugs and alcohol had caused in my life was invaluable. It was like a new start when I got home. I was able to completely focus on my recovery for 28 days, without any outside influences. I think it amazing when people can do it without residential treatment. I do agree it is so important to research treatment centers to find the right one.
Avatar n tn Thank you for responding. She is on medicaid & lives in new york. She had nycares, but applied for welfare & lost that coverage. Hopefully the judge will demand she goes to some kind of rehab. We are all really at a loss as what to do.
Avatar m tn I know here in New York in the USA it runs about 5,000.00 with and without contrast and depending on which procedure. Good luck in finding out!
Avatar n tn Hi Lisa, I was here back in 2007 before you even had your second daughter, I just go by a different name now. I had actually been thinking about you recently because I am pregnant, almost 12 weeks now and it was not planned and I've been on Suboxone for over 450 days now due to a horrible addiction.

Avatar n tn After you detox and you no longer have insurance benefits for any rehab, what do you do? My grandson just checked into a detox facility but cannot return to his home. He is detoxing from oxy, valium, alcohol and was on a binge after 10 weeks clean. I dont know what to do to help him without enabling him..any suggestions? He is 18 last month so we dont get any info from detox facility.
Avatar f tn Looking for the best treatment center in US, Consult with New Solutions Counseling centers in Florida- one of the best addiction recovery rehab center.
Avatar f tn What we were looking into is an in patient drug and alcohol rehab. I have looked at the quality treatment facilities in my area, given the fact that he was detoxed while a patient at Johns Hopkins he wants to continue his recovery on that front, for the most part the treatment facilities available within a distance of Hopkins (should something happen) are either inner city Baltimore and horrible, or out of network for our health insurance and crazy expensive.
1175931 tn?1263809505 Get your phone book out. Look up detox and rehab centers in your area. Whether you have health insurance or not there are places you can go to get detoxed. That is the beginning. Then the work begins. To figure out why you are doing this. It sounds like it started with back surgery. But that is just a symptom.. There is something that is making you afraid or sad or both that makes you feel a need to numb yourself. I use to do this with alcohol.
Avatar n tn My husband has been addicted to various drugs and alcohol for over 10 years. His current problem is opiates, xanax, and alcohol. But he'll basically take whatever he can get a hold of. He's tried quitting on his own a bazillion times, only to fail within a few days. We even moved out of state to where he didn't know anyone to buy from, but he just replaced drugs with loads of alcohol. This has caused lots of strain on our relationship and I initiated a seperation last week.
Avatar f tn t spell it), does anyone know how long it would take to bus to Maine from New York? Then the decision is should we go now for the New Year in our summer but then it might be too cold, or go when you have fall, as that kinda looks spectacular as well. So when is the best time to go? Open to suggestions from anyone in the know of places to visit near New York, I kinda wanted to go to San Francisco but that is kinda the wrong direction... Thanks Guys, Cheers, Udkas.
475555 tn?1469304339 Hiya, Dee. How've you been? Thanks for the greeting. I keep reading about all these new trials that are supposed to be starting up, but there's no study center info on the gov website. The last few trials, by the time I found the study centers and contacted them, all the spots were filled. I'm not giving up, but it sure is frustrating. The worst part is not being in the States now, not having a hep MD there, or any insurance. Flying blind, so to speak.
Avatar n tn Does any one know of a clinic in the US close to the Canadian border (Buffalo, New York, etc) where patients can have a breast and or lymph node biopsy done the same day?
Avatar f tn If you were my patients I would refer you to a reproductive endocrinologist at one of the major fertility centers such as New Hope Fertility in New York City. There are many, and probably is one which is relatively convenient for you. You don't mention how long you have been trying to conceive, but if your wife is over 30, don't wait more than 6 months before seeing a specialist. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Not all rehab centers are equal. Many if not most try to do it too quickly with a one size fits all approach, whereas an individual psychiatrist who really knows his stuff will go at your pace. Not that those are easy to find! By the way, you need a new psychiatrist. The one you have doesn't seem to realize he works for you.
Avatar f tn If New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has his way, you won't be gulping down any 44-ounce Cokes at any of the Big Apple's eateries after March 2013. Citing what he says is the contribution sugary beverages make to obesity in the U.S., Bloomberg says the buck, and the big Dr. Pepper, stops with him. “Obesity is a nationwide problem, and all over the United States, public health officials are wringing their hands saying, ‘Oh, this is terrible.
660680 tn?1225215237 That is why it has struck me as odd that rehab centers seem to have sugary things for the recovering alcoholics to eat. So here is my question, when you were on the wagon did you have a "sweet tooth"? If you did then your alcoholism may be easier to control than you think. With hypoglycemia, as the blood sugar drops the person tries to raise it by eating sweets (or alcohol). But this only further depresses the blood sugar, creating a vicious circle.
