Common Questions and Answers about Alcohol poisoning symptoms day after

alcohol

His wife took him to the hospital 2 days later and the Dr said he had alcohol poisoning and to drink a lot of water. No IV. The 3rd day he was the same so his wife took him to the ER. They said it was alcohol poisoning. Gave him 3 bags of IV. Sent him home after. It is no the 4th day and he is still the same. I forgot to mention that we were camping and to get anywhere, you'd need a boat. So my question is, could he have brain damage?
He finally said it was his opinion my lung problem is work related. Now after searching nonstop for some one to help me with the poisoning of my entire body I cannot find a doctor and really don't know what kind of doctor to look for. I need help and any would be appreciated.
After drinking any amount of alcohol and any type I frequently have horrible hang over the following day. Sometimes this will happen after 2 light beers. It starts early in the afternoon and it is so bad I have migraines and am very nauseous. I have tried every traditional cure and nothing works. There have been times the headached will carry over into the next morning- almost 30 hours after consuming any alcohol! This has just started over the past 2 years- I was fine in the past.
Since then, I've been taking vitamins and trying to eat things like kale every day, but about a week after the poisoning I began getting leg pains behind both knees, and a general feeling of weakness when bending the knees or putting weight on them. It's progressed to be more in my right leg, and for a while some days were almost okay and some were worse, but today I'm at the point where I can barely walk.
stick to the symptoms only and forget about the poisoning... poisoning doesn't work like that. also you aren't "brain damaged" but rather your brain and cognitive functions are "disturbed" by something. it doesn't necessarily mean that it will damage your brain. stay calm, Doctors are trained to recognize emergencies. when they don't recognise your symptoms it probably also means that they can't do anything about it... so why even bother insisting.
You shouldn't be mixing Xanax with alcohol or your blood pressure meds.Plus, the amount of alcohol that you drank at once could cause alcohol poisoning resulting in death.
It never seems to happen the day after drinking, as much as a day or two later and never more once then a day. Possibly dehydrated?
This has never happened to me before and after taking some advil the shivering went away about 2 hours after but i broke out in to a cold sweat for the rest of the day. It is now a whole day after and my face and neck are still somewhat swollen and i'm still shivering/sweating a little bit. Can someone please tell me if this is a reason to be worried???Thanks!!
She also was on anti-depressants and the doctors told her they enhance the level of alcohol in the body after drinking. It scared enough to realize her life is more important then being a social drinker. You may feel more depressed, your alertness may be impaired. Don't stop taking an anti-depressant or other medication just so that you can drink.
So, it sounds like whether or not my symptoms are related to MS, I can be having a lack of symptoms after consuming alcohol regardless of the diagnosis. Very interesting. All these symptoms started this summer, I saw drs of every kind, got no answers and took six months off. I am now searching for answers again as I am beyond frustrated that I still have this tingling and numbness. I am going back to the neuro this weekend.
For around three or four years now, I have been suffering from headaches some two hours or more after the consumption of any amount of alcohol - although typically as few as two drinks upwards of any kind of alcohol. The headaches come on slowly but persistently and follow a line from the left side of my neck across the top of my head to just above the left eyebrow. They are not sharp pains but more of a constant 'throb' and can go on for hours.
what you do with that time is what is important, if it's shopping that needs to be done or if you just want to go back home and take a bubble bath by yourself, it doesn't matter...you will feel good when you pick her up after those few hours...
The tests you had were /are all good and accurate, but equally they were all unnecessary as you were never exposed in the first place. The stomach symptoms illness etc sound like food poisoning - not HIV. The liver function changes suggest that either you drink too much alcohol or you are too heavy and have fatty deposits accumulating in your liver. Eitherway, again not related to HIV. You didn't do anything bad - you just had a massage with a happy ending. Thats so innocent.
http://www.collegedrinkingprevention.gov/OtherAlcoholInformation/factsAboutAlcoholPoisoning.aspx Pay special attention to the symptoms. I know from first hand experience that a lot of things go through your mind when you think someone may have alcohol poisoning, and there is a natural reaction to hope you are wrong and wait to see if the person to be OK, and that people may very well get mad if you are wrong and drag them to the hospital.
9) joint pain - like flu but also only on the first two days of episode I was admitted to the hospital one time in my worst episode, they diagnosed it as food poisoning (in The Bahamas) but another doctor later said I probably had alcohol poisoning. Is this alcohol or food poisoning? I do drink a lot and I eat a lot of seafood. I live in The Bahamas and in the Dominican Republic.
A few months ago, I tried some weight work out, after almost a year off, with so little weights that I did not even get muscle aches next day; but yet I got sick in my stomach after the exercise and got the flu symptoms starting the next day. This time, a week ago, I increased the weight and did it only for 10-15 minutes each day for five days before falling ill. I did get muscle aches the next day but hardly noticeable any nasal inflammation or other symptoms.
my anxiety is sky high after a night of drinking, but i love drinking ahhhhhh dont get me wrong i dont have a problem its jus when i drink all my anxiety symptoms jus disappear but i suffer the day after so im tryin cut down on my beer intake, i find if you are gonna drink make sure you eat something and get a decent nights sleep, then plenty of water the day after, it is cruel how people have to stop what they enjoy doing cause of anxiety, dont get me wrong im not promoting alcohol but its unfa
She stayed two weeks before and now she is back in the hospital. I live 5 hours away from my mom. My mom and I aren't close at all. She chose alcohol over me and the rest of her family. I have put her in rehab before but she busted out and called her drinking buddy to pick her up. Its like I should be the mother and she should be the daughter or something. She has made my life very miserable. She has drank alcohol for at least 24 years. First time I ever saw her drunk I was 14 years old.
I should also mention I was using alcohol to help treat my depression but I didn't drink every day but I was a binge drinker. Usually I would drink on the weekends and one a day week.
Prolonged stress of any kind (your mother must be in because of so many problems), sleep deprivation (again a possibility with her), brain damage (due to methyl alcohol poisoning) are the other contributing features in your mother’s case. She needs a psychiatric evaluation along with these causes being ruled out. Discuss with her doctors whether sleep therapy and attempt at distressing her will help. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
I felt a little odd after that and then about 2 days after that I had pretty bad cold symptoms, such as stuffy nose, i felt very weak, i felt full body aches and things to that nature, the next day I felt ok but then all of a sudden at about 6 I started seeing dots as if I was going to pass out and I got a funny feeling in my stomach. After that I i felt very light headed and just like I was on the verge of passing out or losing consciousness (although I never did).

Although the response given to the person asking the question (regarding his light beer consumption) implied that a person could get neuropathy under such conditions, my question is to ask specifically just how much and for how long? I have begun to have symptoms after about 3 years of getting on a red wine kick. Supposedly, drinking red wine regularly, but in moderation, is good for you.
I would drink a liter of booze in a 24 hr period and drank myself into alcohol poisoning and yet another addiction. DON'T EVER DO THAT!!!! Anyway, I'm at a point that I just can't do it anymore. I'm afraid that if I don't start taking care of myself right now, I'm going to die before I hit 40 (I'm 34). On 4/26/2010 , I ran out of tramadol early... again. I found myself performing my usual tricks. I was pharmacy shopping.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that in 1997, over 16,000 fatalities from traffic accidents were attributed to drunk driving. There are also a number of alcohol-related deaths from acute alcohol poisoning and accidents, which are reported on college campuses with increasing frequency.
3) if i drink alcohol now, i feel absolutely TERRIBLE for days after. Even if i drink small amounts i will feel rough for a couple of days, nauseous and totally drained of energy. 4) Some days my upper stomach pain feels much worse than offers. However it never seems to be related to hunger/no hunger, or what i have eaten. My question is really, did my alcohol consumption cause permanent damage to some area of my body? Could it also have been related to my lifestyle at the time?
I've tried to match all your symptoms with possible aspartame poisoning. (Many of my own symptoms are mentioned in your post. I had problems with aspartame for approximately nine years.) There is a list of symptoms at: http://www.dorway.com/badnews.
I think however, that I should have waited a day or two after finishing the Hydrocodone before I asked my question of “is it possible to withdrawal from Hydrocodone after only a week.” After two days of not taking any Hydrocodone 7.-5/500, I feel pretty good. My back pain is gone. I never have been on such a strong pain killer for a week.
