He finally said it was his opinion my lung problem is work related. Now after searching nonstop for some one to help me with the poisoning of my entire body I cannot find a doctor and really don't know what kind of doctor to look for. I need help and any would be appreciated.
Could be toxic hepatitis. A rash that goes away once the toxin is discontinued, is one of the symptoms. I think it's worth going to the doctor and getting it checked out.
For around three or four years now, I have been suffering from headaches some two hours or more after the consumption of any amount of alcohol - although typically as few as two drinks upwards of any kind of alcohol. The headaches come on slowly but persistently and follow a line from the left side of my neck across the top of my head to just above the left eyebrow. They are not sharp pains but more of a constant 'throb' and can go on for hours.
The possibilities were endless as to what actually happened. A day later, I started breaking out in a rash all over my body. The rash was more prominent in areas that were touched by clothing (t-shirt and underwear) - stomach, back, hips, buttocks, lats, inner arm, etc... After racking my brain over what might have recently changed, I thought it may be a new brand of detergent, as this was the ONLY change that had occurred within as couple weeks.
Is it possible to be diagnosed with shingles without having an external rash? The pain is on my left side only in a band near my waist line. The pain is horrific - even to the touch. All symptoms seem to be consistent with shingles but after 2 weeks of this, there is no rash. Narcotics, vicodin and darvocet have helped some but not completely.
I do not have any yellowing or jaundice symptoms. The rash comes and goes, sometimes with red hives and sometimes just a red rash. I use topical steroids when the itching becomes bad (Elocom, Dermovate or Neriderm). I have also taken Gilex and Ahiston which seem to lessen the symptoms. I drink alcohol, but in moderation. i did an HIAA 5 test and it was negative; just took a blood test for Chromogranin A...awaiting the results. Why do you suggest seeing a GI? What do you think it could be?
my 11 year old son had a virus on Thanksgiving 5 days later he started itching from head to toe no rash no hives nothing. we started him on benadryl and calamine lotiong, not relief so the Doctor gave him allegra and cortisone, no relief. Then the dermatologist gave him a shot of kenalog, and prescription cortisone. still no relief after two emergency room visits they gave him hydroxine and blood workups for kidney, liver, and thyroid came back normal.
And everything from the stuff I read says that alcohol poisoning side effects are totally different than what I have described here. I'm positive this has something to do with his drinking habit - has anyone had this happen before and recieved medical help for it? He knows that he has to stop drinking like that but... I really wish I knew if it was from liver failure, alcohol poisoning or what - guess I just need to put a name on it so we can get him medical help (aka AA - I know).
Hello, Something happened to me about a month ago when i was at a bar, I THINK I may have had alcohol poisoning, but I am not sure, because it has never happened before. I only had about 2 beers, well, mugs are 38 ounces, had 2. I do have low tolerance, but for some reason I dont think the following symptom is normal.
The steroid ointments and solutions do help locally with the itching, but they won't get rid of the cause of the rash or prevent it from moving next door because the rash is systemic. (I am in week 45 and I am still on Hydroxyzine 50 mg every 6 hours and I occasionally use the clobetesol soln and/or the fluocinonide ointment.) Glad to hear you have dropped to 49 and hopefully the next VL wil be UND.
Im 20yrs old (19) at the time Approx 2-3 weeks later I came down with a primarily gastro related illness which consisted of nausea, abdominal bloating / pain, dry heaving (not vomiting) and constipation. This lasted for around 9-10 days. There was no fever, rash, muscle aches, sore throat, headaches etc.
but when I went in I had a bruises on my left side that I think resembled the tick bite. but the 2 times before I was admitted I had a rash and from the hips down covered in bruises also. the 7th time being in the ER I went to a different hospital is when they finally did a blood test for a parasite and it did come back positive. 2 days b4 that I was at Cadillac and they wouldn't do a test on me or my 5 yr old son for Lyme disease or a parasite test.
Cardiovascular signs include arrhythmia, bradycardia or tachycardia, and reduced blood pressure. Ciguatera poisoning is usually self-limiting, and signs of poisoning often subside within several days from onset. However, in some cases the neurological symptoms are known to persist from weeks to months.
If you had food poisoning you would be sick as all get out, vomiting non stop, diarreaha, and up at the hospital. Though you are using the same products, manufacturers will change ingredients at times and that may be what has happened. I used a deodorant for years, then started breaking out all of a sudden. Since it only affected my underarms, I changed. It went away. Start with what touches your stomach the most. Do you sleep with your shirt off? Bleach sheets/shirts. Try the clothes soap.

Lets just say I drank a lot that night probably between 15-17 shots of hard alcohol. I think I got alcohol poisoning because I threw up the entire next day (kind of yellow acidy) and was really sore and felt weak and had hot flashes. Then after a couple of days I got sick and am starting to get over it now. I had a lot of fatigue, tons of sinus congestion and a bad cough and possibly a slight fever but nothing too crazy.

Last time I drank tonic water, my nose and lips swelled up and a rash formed on my back. At first, I though it was the Gin that may have done this, but I recently drank tonic water and whiskey (dont ask me why...) and these allergies occured once again. Once the swelling came down, my mouth became littered with cankersores which causes eating and drinking to be very painful. I have eaten grapefruits (I have heard they contain Quinine) many times with no reaction.
My allergy is 'awaken' only when I burn my skin when I am on the beach or a similar place that has no tree or house shadows. Then I feel a sudden, very strong and irresistable rash all over the place that has been burnt by the sun. I cannot concentrate on anything else except to rash. I am then scrubbing that area usually with the towel but as I rub more, the rash intensifies!! Then I feel as I am going to freak out, since I cannot do anything else except to rub.
Hi, it's quite normal to seek escape and we all do it in one way or another. Problem comes when we say sod it to what we know causes us even more problems. I am not a drinker either however have tried really hard but it doesn't agree with me or my meds. I am more like Bradian and this helps me greatly HOWEVER this does not mean we advice you to do anything that could effect you further. Hope you are able to face things again soon and start your Meds asap. Maby bring this up with doc.
I returned them just last week and they were kind enough to exchange them for the new Biofit and the Body by Victoria. They do not itch at all when trying on. The rash appears the next day after wearing. Body by Victoria gave me a rash, though not at pronounced as the Secret Embrace fabric. Biofit has not given me a rash. Both claim to be composed of nylon and Spandex. It is a mystery. I am soaking them as we speak to see if it could be some kind of chemical.
Withdrawal is just terrible. Too often, it's just adding insult to injury, after a drug that once held some promise fails to really help with one's struggles, or it makes them even worse. The worst withdrawal for me was Lexapro, cold turkey. This was initiated by my doctors while I was in hospital for a serious mixed episode.
I moved from the dry climate of the Southwest and Southern Cal to hot and humid New England four years ago - nevr, ever had this until the first summer I arrived and then BAM! A weird, nasty rash that scares even me - I'm extremely active (walk every where and run 6+ daily) so suffice it to say being covered with this is not good for the image! Seriously though I'd like to know if there's a way to treat and how to keep it from spreading.

Approx 10 months ago I drank heavily for 2 nights and I think I gave myself mild alcohol poisoning and felt ill all week so stopped drinking for 2 weeks. After this, I cut down my drinking but found it took less alcohol to make me feel terrible in the morning.
constipation, and have been unable to tolerate anything with alcohol in it (ie. beverages, food or medicines). I've been on HRT (Estrace 2 mg) for over 15 yrs; have been taking Fioricet for migraines for over 10 years. I've always ate a very healthy diet, and very rarely drank alcohol. I have horses & live in the country (so I always got plenty of exercise) but now find myself unable to ride my horses, barely have enough energy to go to the Barn to feed them.
Others say any of these are okay in moderation, just not together, or with alcohol(well, duh!). I usually take a buffered aspirin or two once a day, along with lots of hydration all day, and when that bear bites too bad, I take Hydrocodone (Loritab) in small doses, but it makes the brain fog worse, and becomes less effective over long periods of use. It is mostly Acetaminophen (Tylenol), so I have to be careful with it, also.
One reason I am concerned is about three years ago I drank too much two times to the point that I think I had alcohol poisoning. I hardly ever drink, maybe once a month but can you damage your liver in a night of binge drinking to the point that you would get cirrhosis? I drank a whole bottle of wine in about 30 mins :( Do you think it would be serious if just a few weeks ago my Calcium and Blood Protein was normal and now it is not. Could medications like Omnicef cause this increase?
