stick to the symptoms only and forget about the poisoning... poisoning doesn't work like that. also you aren't "brain damaged" but rather your brain and cognitive functions are "disturbed" by something. it doesn't necessarily mean that it will damage your brain. stay calm, Doctors are trained to recognize emergencies. when they don't recognise your symptoms it probably also means that they can't do anything about it... so why even bother insisting.
Dayquil does have alcohol in it. Depending on how much you drink of each. But remember you can get alcohol poisoning.
Hi Hon, In my opinion, it could be because of the NyQuil. The medicine in it doesn't mix well with alcohol, and i don't just mean the Tylenol that's in it. In my opinion, I think it would take much more to put you in liver failure. I won't lecture you on the drinking but if you do go out and drink, don't take Tylenol or NyQuil. A lot of times if you drink too much, it can lead to alcohol poisoning.
You know there are physicians of allopathic and osteopathic medicine who also deal with natural medicine on occasion. Maybe you should find an intregrative approach. Be careful doing something like this on your own. Do you eat healthy? Yogurt with acidopholus? Have you been on a lot of "homeopathic remedies" you have just tried and tried. I would avoid colon cleanses and such honestly. Especially colonic(sp?
I was put on Warfarin (Coumadin) but was not given any warning about alcohol and at least on 2 occasions drank quite heavily (about 5 or 6 glasses of wine in one evening). I have had a series of bodily changes including increased veins on my nose face and on the palms of my hand. Upon returning to the States, I consulted with a doctor who suggested that I get off coumadin given that my clots were in superficial veins. However, two days following my getting off coumadin, (1.

For around three or four years now, I have been suffering from headaches some two hours or more after the consumption of any amount of alcohol - although typically as few as two drinks upwards of any kind of alcohol. The headaches come on slowly but persistently and follow a line from the left side of my neck across the top of my head to just above the left eyebrow. They are not sharp pains but more of a constant 'throb' and can go on for hours.
I know it is his intention to take the drug again and in conjunction w/ alcohol. He is not aware that I know. How long does the drug stay in one's system? Can we, as parents, buy a drug test to randomly give him? How dangerous is this drug? How can we tell if he is under the influence?
I was put on morphen seven years ago at a pain clinic after a bad accident destroyed my back, At the time i didnt know what it was becauce it was generic and spelled norph, latter i found out what it was,I should have stopped but it took care of the pain, I have found out this medicine can kill you.
Most drugs in the Physician's Desk Reference tell you do not drink while taking this drug and for very good reason. Since alcohol and most drugs are processed by the liver, alcohol, which takes alot of time to be processed compared to other things, affects the way the liver processes everything else. Also, the byproduct of alcohol leaving the liver is a toxin that can also affect your pancreas.
I know this is vague but i find it difficult to be more specific. 3) if i drink alcohol now, i feel absolutely TERRIBLE for days after. Even if i drink small amounts i will feel rough for a couple of days, nauseous and totally drained of energy. 4) Some days my upper stomach pain feels much worse than offers. However it never seems to be related to hunger/no hunger, or what i have eaten. My question is really, did my alcohol consumption cause permanent damage to some area of my body?
My blood pressure was slightly elevated but she seems to think it might just be because of my recent alcohol poisoning. If anyone could help inform me what to do that would be great. I have been drinking lots of water and gatorade. I was prescribed medicine to help with the dizziness and headache but it hasn't helped much.
I went to the doctor in the middle of the week thinking it was a virus or food poisoning and she gave me some medicine that knocks me out and lessens the nausea but as soon as a wake up it is full force all over again. She thought it was a virus but I am still suffering and I don't want to go to the hospital because I can't afford it until my new benefits kick in. I should also mention I was using alcohol to help treat my depression but I didn't drink every day but I was a binge drinker.
How old are you? Male/female? Alcohol in large amount impairs intestinal epithelial cells and affects absorption - this may add to your diarrhea. In this situation even the sugar from the coke and bubbles can speed up peristalsis. Anxiety is a possible basic cause in your case, you will know. Parasites (like Giardia) may be contracted with food or water poisoning. Diarrhea from parasites typically has a vague, prolonged course (weeks).
They were also charging me for man slaughter, because one kid “almost” died of alcohol poisoning. My court dates all interfered with my suicide plan. The bastards made sure to postpone and then cancel all of my court dates, and made me come back daily, really early in the mornings, hoping I would miss a date. I went to Wachiay Friendship Center and got a free court worker, but there was nothing she could do. Then I had some luck.

The entire weekend I was down their I couldn't keep down any food. --28 percent say they had ridden in a car driven by someone who had been drinking alcohol. --41 percent had drunk alcohol. --20.8 percent had smoked marijuana. Keeping kids who drink away from cars would go a long way towards keeping teenagers safe. Teaching them about the dangers of drinking, illegal drug use, and smoking tobacco would help, too, of course.
Not that this would make me run out and risk it, but it made me curious kind of similar to the whole alcohol debate. I have French and Danish friends who say their docs said a glass of wine a day is fine during pregnancy. Any internationalists (outside U.S.) that can comment on your country's safe eating & drinking rules? I'm just curious what other global "rules" and opinions are out there and how they differ from the States. :0) Christina 21w5d (or is it 22w5d?
I have tried everything, but today I am in hopes I received the answer. I went to see my DC who uses a Chinese medicine method and he said I have Solvent Toxicity. He asked what type of moisturizer I used. I asked do you mean on my face or my body. I have been using Vaseline Intensive Care Body Lotion. It has petroleum in it. Guess what? So does my moisturizer, lip balm-which I use constantly because my lips are always dry.

After doing some research, I realize that I need to cut out the Ibuprophen, as well as the alcohol intake. Should I be extremely alarmed about these numbers? If so, what can I do to get the numbers where they need to be? Are there any natural remedies I can try? Thanks in advance!
But I also found that YOU SHOULD NOT BE TAKING DOUBLE WHAT YOU WERE PRESCRIBED, because you could get IRON POISONING!!!!! Iron poisoning can be dangerous, and sometimes fatal, SO DON'T TAKE ANY MORE DOUBLE DOSES!!!! of your Nu-Iron medication. I am assuming you are anemic. Am I right? What is CAUSING YOUR ANEMIA???? You need to fix the CAUSE of your anemia, instead of just treating the SYMPTOM OF ANEMIA. Is your diet not so good?

Ok, so I had been EBF until right after Christmas I got food poisoning and really dehydrated, so I started supplementing with a little bit of formula. Then I had abdominal surgery and could'nt breastfeed for 24 hours and then was very sore for a while. I continued to breastfeed, but also supplement with formula. Well since then I have been trying to get my milk supply back up and it's not happening.
I know no doctors who do. It is fine to say “why do I need this medicine?” or “Is this medication really necessary?” but to ask “is it safe?” or “doesn’t this destroy the liver?” is kind of insulting. 7. I guarantee that any plan like this one will cause significant weight loss…in your wallet. Sorry. Had to rant about this. People believe many dumb things and will until the world’s end.
