Avatar m tn Maybe you were trying to be diplomatic or play it safe but the facts suggest that your statement was flat out wrong. Alcohol has NEVER been shown to play ANY role in HCV reactivation.
801413 tn?1333539276 Penile cancer is so rare in the US/Canada/Europe that if you want to see it in perspective your son is 100 times more likely to get breast cancer. Again, nothing extra to clean. Just wipe the outside like the rest of the diaper area. "Don't retract: only clean what is seen". *~*~*Not attacking, just stating there is no legitimate medical (or convenience) reason for routine infant circumcision.
10476455 tn?1423121400 I say of you're afraid of alcohol getting into your milk, I would pump it before you decide to have some drinks :) Breastfeeding helps you lose weight. And your boobs will sag regardless of what you do.
Avatar f tn apparently there is also rubbing alcohol missing... my hubby recalls an old friend making hash (maybe) by using alcohol, weed and coffee filters...???
1289966 tn?1326101570 It isn't a great idea as alcohol can help the disease to progress, and if you are treating, alcohol is a definite don't. Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll get more feedback on this topic.
466909 tn?1207568232 It's nobody's fault but mine that I'm an addict. If I didn't take Oxycontin, I would have found my addiction in the bottom of a bottle of alcohol or another substance. The fact is that Oxycontin, when used correctly and responsibly, helps millions of people with chronic pain live normal lives. It's selfish addictive thinking that makes my addiction more important than their quality of life.
Avatar f tn What are some important MUST KNOW baby facts that a first time mom needs to remember for when their child comes?
Avatar f tn I am not too familiar with blood alcohol, but I would think that maybe you could have been dehydrated and that could have caused the reading. Try drinking more water next time.

148588 tn?1465778809 There are so many different studies and opinions on this issue, I don't think it will ever be resolved... We all know that study data can be skewed any way one wants to skew it, in order to come up with the preferred results. By the way, the video in the link I posted is exactly the same as the video in the original post.
2109562 tn?1347253848 If they're irregular, it's possible she's not even the whole 3 months along, which would kind of help because the sooner you quit the better. However, she won't know until the doc appt and shouldn't stress too much about it. What's done is done and cannot be reversed. There's no hard facts on small amounts of liquor because they can't really study it to say ok stop, this much more and your baby will have FAS.
Avatar n tn I am a 39 year old white female who had a one time hetero unprotected encounter (40 year old male) that unfortunately I cannot remember because alcohol was involved. Needless to say I am very anxious and worried about the transmission of an STD from this encounter. I went to my doctor on Wednesday (this occured the previous Saturday) so 3-4 days later and she tested me for Chlamidya, gonorrhea and other bacterial Std's.
Avatar f tn actually drinking alcohol helps lower your sugar levels because even though alcohol has carbs the sugar does not get into your system because of the alcohol.. so i say, if your gonna have a shake, make sure to drink a bit before and a lil after... or like when my numbers were in 400's one weekend cause of a cookout, i drank a little and they went to 110 :) so just drink when you wanna help your numbers..
Avatar n tn Yep. The Doc is supposed to provide you a post test counselling. Its must if someone is tested poz. I had the similar doubts, When I was taken to emergency, they did some tests and I am sure they did HIV. They didn't say anything about HIV. Thats a relief. Usually, If you get a call from the doctor thats a concern. you dont hear anything from them after the test, then you are good.
Avatar n tn IMHO, the incidence of autism has increased due to the changing DSM definition of autism has broadened over the years and IDEA definition of autism was added within the last 20 years. Once IDEA added autism as a category, as lot of kids labeled with autism flooded the rosters. Also, more professionals know what to look for in patients who have been misdiagnosed in the past. Just an example here: No one over 40 has fetal alcohol syndrome, It affects about 1 in 500 kids today.
Avatar m tn Although alcohol does affect ferility, I don't think this would be a huge problem right now. I would, however, strongly suggest having her go to her obgyn and getting a full check up. It's better to know up front if there could be any problems and what you guys should or should not be doing.
Avatar f tn Ok, so I just gave blood for an HIV test after a fairly low risk event in my life. I live in Canada and when they went to inject the needle in my arm to draw blood, the nurse rubbed on some rubbing alcohol onto my arm. The problem is that it didn't feel like she used much rubbing alcohol so now I am worried that this needle may be unsterilized and perhaps could have contaminated me with the HIV virus. Can anyone provide me with any feedback? Thanks!
