alcohol

Avatar f tn You surely should not drink any alcohol at all while taking pain medication, or any medication for that matter.
Avatar f tn Was wondering how 'safe' it is to drink extreme low alcohol content beer (0.5% ALC/VOL)...I am asking because l can't seem to find a low suger, thirst quenching summertime drink..all the fruit juices and fizzy drinks are loaded with suger. I saw this beer on the superrmarket shelves and had a look at the ingredients...<1.0g of suger per 100mls..only ingredients are barley, hops, yeast and water. I bought a bottle (very cheap) and it tasted surprisingly good.
610738 tn?1263111556 Thanks for the suggestion. We would need to be able to verify the calories burned on an official government site. Do you know where you saw the 400 calories for every 30 minutes? If you can find this information on a government site, we'd be happy to add it for you.
Avatar n tn prichard16 - yes, the types of calories makes a difference. While I agree with caregiver222, that 1000 calories is 1000 calories; if you make that 1000 calories a mix of fruits, veggies, dairy, lean meats, nuts, etc --- you will be much healthier and more likely to lose weight than if you get that 1000 calories from 5 candy bars (200 calories/each) throughout the day........... there's a huge difference........
Avatar f tn Gday is there anyone in Australia on these forums having trouble with tramadol...I am in Queensland..
Avatar n tn So let me ask this....if a man consumes drugs and alcohol would the ingredients of the drugs and alcohol be present in the womans urine analysis after she consumes his sperm?
Avatar f tn re eating healthy, you might be eating too many calories/day for the amount of exercise you get. You should calculate the number of calories you need, based on your current age, weight, height and activity level. Keeping a food diary will help insure that you don't eat more than your daily allowance.
362249 tn?1441315018 Alcohol can trick you. It has calories so must be taken into account in your daily caloric counts but it does dehydrate you. Providing you don't drink alcohol the next day you will rehydrate and be back where you should be providing you didn't immensely go over your calorie intake. I just count it as it is since I weigh in daily.
1555116 tn?1294483683 If weight loss comes about by burning more than you eat, how can this be possible, especially on such a healthy diet and exercise plan, and particularly without all those alcohol calories? Any help anyone could give would be very much appreciated.
1032715 tn?1315984234 I am familiar with the meds that you are taking and valium is commonly used for withdrawal - both alcohol and opiates. Your alcohol consumption is pretty high, I was using 2-3 liters of vodka per week and when I decided to quit, I did not have that rough of a time, but I was on some significant doses of valium for about 10 days and I know that helped. Another medication that physicians will use or withdrawal to the codeine/opiates is clonidine - that is typically for blood pressure.
Avatar f tn t even look at carbs the same way anymore! You can even pass up potato chips. I read an article about alcohol in a diet. It faulted alcohol for being even easier to burn than carbs, so your body stores all your food and burns the alcohol instead, hence the "beer belly". Alcohol, as well as other high carb foods also make you crave more alcohol and high carb foods- a terrible cycle to fall into either way.
Avatar n tn Ive never heard of that here, its the same as tylonel though I looked it up. Its catagory C. Same as Vicks nyquil with no alcohol. The alcohol in cough meds is what makes them dangerous that's why alcohol free is safe. To be extra sure u can ask the pharmacy.
Avatar f tn And it seems that at this point my body only requires 500-1000 calories a day to stay at a steady weight, with most days erring on the side of 500; I can afford a couple 1000 calorie day "splurges" a week for eating out but the other 5 days of the week I really do eat about 500 a day. I'm only 5'3" and this keeps me below 130 and at a size S where my clothes fit. I'm hoping the added activity from cardiac rehab will help.
Avatar m tn Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive..
397560 tn?1220022177 My question is where can I find a book or something that tells me how many calories do I need a day and hpw many calories i take in every time I eat something? Thank you for your replies.
Avatar f tn Stupidly, I had several drinks and drove my car. I was pulled over and my blood alcohol was almost 2! I only had 2 glasses of wine! Could Graves disease have affected my alcohol level?
Avatar f tn Those actually have a very very small amount of caffeine. It's just really high in sugar and calories. It's ok to have some caffeine I was encouraged to have a little for my headaches. It's all about moderation.
9023883 tn?1402943375 The latest research in Australia says that its inconclusive how much alcohol is safe during pregnancy therefore all the drs advise no alcohol. I was so much more strict in my first pregnancy. A lot more relaxed this one and would probably have a sip without feeling guilty.
Avatar m tn What are triglycerides? Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. When you eat, your body converts any calories it doesn't need to use right away into triglycerides. The triglycerides are stored in your fat cells. Later, hormones release triglycerides for energy between meals. If you regularly eat more calories than you burn, you may have high triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia). What's the difference between triglycerides and cholesterol?
Avatar f tn t seem to get enough D, maybe it would be worthwhile to munch a few mushrooms - cook them, marinate them (oil will add calories), just eat them raw in salads, etc.
Avatar f tn Do you think Australia will eventually use rapid hiv tests to combat the hiv rates in Australia. I know Australia has great resources but read that they have not implemented point of care rapid tests.
