377012 tn?1283965435 Recurrent ear and sinus problems is indicative of candida/yeast overgrowth. Antibiotics are prescribed, which create an opportunity for the yeast to grow/thrive and upset the normal gut flora. The candida/yeast overgrowth compromise the immune system, can create allergies (leaky gut), and a host of other problems (ear, sinus, throat, moods, gastro...), which unfortunately are mostly treated with of course more antibiotics. The cycle repeats.
Avatar f tn ll have a better idea of what to do to treat a bacterial infection in his ears the next time it occurs. (Before this last ear infection, I only knew how to treat ear congestion from a virus: The homeopathic treatments clear up the congestion and ear pain within 2 days.) Are there any studies that might attribute inner ear congestion with eye-rolling tics?
Avatar n tn Proventil (albuterol) has a low pH that encourages the growth of (Candida albicans (yeast). When this happens in your mouth it is called thrush. . Rinsing your mouth with water raises the pH, making the environment inhospitable to candida. Thrush causes dry mouth and can create sores, making eating painful.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with an exercise induced asthma and prescribed a 90 mcg albuterol inhaler. I didn't use it much as I was fine most of the time. But just recently I have been having to use my inhaler every few hours or so because if I don't I get really short breathed. I don't know what's going on and it's worrying me.
205269 tn?1395534274 I have had episodes with Candida, it is no fun. Actually, it is a type of "yeast infection" that affects mainly the GI tract, but, it can have miserable reactions in the entire body. Some of the things that can bring it on are: long term antibiotic use, this takes all the "friendly" bacteria out of your system, long time use of being on the "pill". and a weakened immune system.
Avatar m tn During that time he got an ear infection, now it has recovered, but during one of the doctors said he should start using albuterol for his cough if it contiues, that he had during his ear infection. His ear infection has gone away, but his cough hasn't! Should I use albuterol or some other medicine, or am I able to treat it without using any drugs. I also gave him claritin to see if it was caused by allergies but that did not work. Help would be appreciated! Thank you!
Avatar f tn I had switched my birth control pills due to never wanting to have sex and because I always felt grouchy. I started new pills which gave me a yeast infection and made me feel very emotional at times. Do a week and a half before finishing the pack I stopped them. Right after stopping them I got a wheezing in my lungs. I let it go for about 2 weeks before I went to the doc thinking it was just bronchitis. The doc thought it was asthma and gave me stuff for it.
Avatar f tn Both were treated with albuterol and an oral steriod. The second attack caused him to be hospitalized during treatment because he was not responding well to 3 doses of albuterol via nebulizer and had low oxygen sat. (88%). Both of the epsiodes occured during a cold/virus. My Dr. is reccomending a once daily pulmicort treatment for prevention purposes. I am a little hesitant to be giving him this at such a young age and only a short time of displaying these symtoms.
Avatar n tn I also take albuterol inhalant for beginning of emphysema, The other thing that has shown up in the past year that is unexplained is repeat urinary tract infections and samples always show a moderate read abnormal amount of blood. I am tired all the time and any extra hours of working at my job seems to send my body into some medical issure such as this thrush infection. I feel like I have lost who I was and this new person is just to tired to accomplish anything but the basics.
Avatar f tn So now im on keflex, zithromax, albuterol, zofran, tums, cough drops, robitussin dm, and got a shot of rocefin in the arse. How does an ear infection turn into pneumonia? ??? I didn't even know that was possible! And my doc says taking all these meds is safe but that seems like an awful lot to me.
Avatar n tn Bronchiectasis is permanent damage, can result from repeat infections or certain types of infection (MAC tends to be a huge culprit here). I have mild bronchiectasis from atypical CF and am treated with nebulized antibiotics (inhaled tobramycin every other month for pseudomonas infection), zithromax and IV"s when necessary. Nebulized mucolytics (meds that break down mucous) such as Pulmozyme and mucomyst are helpful.
Avatar f tn I purchased the Omron Portable Ultrasonic Nebulizer and am using the vials of Albuterol and Ipratropium. I can only use 1/2 vial because more than that speeds my heart up too much. Can I save the last 1/2 of the vial for later use? Does anybody know of a more affordable way to get the medicine I need? I am paying out of pocket and this economy gets harder every day it seems like.
Avatar f tn I am now 36 weeks and have my 3rd yeast infection and have had one uti since I hit my 3rd trimester. I am so tired of getting infections. It just want to cry about it but I know it won't change anything.
Avatar f tn I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I've had a couple bacterial infections and recently I've noticed some little white bumps in the vaginal area. I was wondering if this could be from the bacterial infection? Or if it could be from a yeast infection? I have an appointment tomorrow but it's really worrying me and I was just looking for some answers.
Avatar n tn I am presently using Advair 2x day and an albuterol sulfate inhaler several times daily. I have believe I also have thrush. This has been going on for since October of 2007. Besides the inhalers my Dr. treated me for thrush a couple of months ago. He has referred me to a Pulminologist who has had me do breathing tests and a CT scan. I go in soon for the results.
Avatar f tn Hi there. Well, could be a yeast infection/overgrowth, yes. If you have never been diagnosed for a yeast infection, I would go the first time to your doctor to confirm. They'll help you treat it then and give you ideas why it is happening related to your period. So, yes, I'd see your doctor at this point.
Avatar f tn If any infection is left untreated that is when you can have issues.
Avatar f tn I got a yeast infection after taking the antibiotics I was prescribed so make sure if you get symptoms of a yeast infection you call your doctor
Avatar f tn Let your OB know because many times its hard to tell the difference between bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection.
Avatar m tn Another common treatment for lung infections is an albuterol nebulizer treatment and using a albuterol inhaler for a few days at home. This opens up the airways and helps make it easier for the person to cough up mucus. Also, did she have a chest x-ray? This is important diagnostic test to see what kind of infection she has. Hope she feels better soon.
Avatar n tn I'm a 44-year old female, with asthmatic allergic response to cats since childhood. I smoked off and on from 18-39, about 5 pack-years. I've lived near a cat (outdoors with access to my husband's study) for 18 years, and have treated my asthma with albuterol, adding ventolin when necessary. About 12 weeks ago I caught bronchitis, then wildfires broke out near my home that made the air unhealthy for about 2 weeks. This provoked a severe asthma attack -- for three weeks.
Avatar f tn Have you tried an over the counter vaginal yeast treatment? Some yeast are resistant to these as they all have fluconazole in them. The yeast are getting used to the anti-fungals that have azole at the end of their name. But it can also be Bacterial vaginosis (BV). You should get tested to find out if it is a yeast and if it is resistant and also have the laboratory check for bacterial vaginosis. Could you have a STD? If you would need to get tested for those.
Avatar f tn See a doctor it could be a STD the symptoms from a yeast infection are the same as some STD I thought.
Avatar f tn But here lately i have been having strange cottage cheese like discharge. Could it be yeast infection? And if so, Will it hurt my baby? How do i get rid of it?
