746512 tn?1388807580 I was just wondering if anyone here gets side effects from taking albuterol. I have only had the inhaler for about 2 weeks and notice very painful calf muscle cramps that occur a couple hours after taking the inhaler (suppose to pre-treat for a lecture hall that really bugs me). They seem to be getting worse with every dose (only noticed the last couple of times of using it), today my legs are still very sore and crampy and I took the dose 10 hours ago.
Avatar f tn It is ok to use all 3 of the medications mentioned. Although rare, albuterol and Advair can cause adverse cardiovascular effects such as hypertension, angina, palpitations, sinus tachycardia, or arrhythmias. Only take these as directed, do not take it more often than instructed by your physician.
757137 tn?1347196453 This is used as an alternative to Albuterol if the side effects are severe with Albuterol. This could also be used in conjunction with Albuterol, to relieve acute flare ups of Asthma. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Administering the medications separately maximizes the therapeutic potenial while minimizing the side effects. The albuterol opens op the passageways. The ipratropium then enters these passageways for a longer effect. Then the steroid enters for the longest effect. The Pulmacort should be taken a few minutes afterwards.
Avatar f tn Headache on left front side with a crazy visual aura, took zomig, hour later took ibuprofen 600, albuterol sulfate and Ritalin. Cold and hot feeling across skin, mostly on right side, nausea, joint pain, burning pain in abdomen and chest, dizzy, tired and short of breath. Migrating sharp pains across body. Ringing ears. Vision is unnaturally blurry. Chest and stomach symptoms worsen when laying down, head symptoms worsen when standing up.
1047019 tn?1256719961 I'm assuming you are referring to a rescue (Albuterol) inhaler. I agree with Victoireh...why would you want to use an inhaler if you don't have asthma? There are no mood altering effects from it whatsoever...if you use it in prescribed doses, it makes you nervous, get hand tremors and maybe a headache. And if you use excessive amounts, which I did when I was first diagnosed with asthma and was only given an Albuterol inhaler, it will make you feel awful...
Avatar f tn The funny thing is that on my medication (it is albuterol) it says that chest pains and drowsiness ARE side effects so im not so much worried about that. it's just the over whelming sensationg that i have to burp that im worried about because it is extremely uncomfortable. I also am using my inhaler correctly. i know this for a fact because my doctor showed me how to use it and watched me do it, and said it was correct.
587778 tn?1261397118 I also had a serious reaction to steroids (the side effects almost killed me). So now I use natural anti-inflammatories. She could try 500 mg of viitamin C, 2 droppersful of mullein extract, 500 mg of vitamin B5, and NAC (n-acetyl-cisteine.). Sometimes I add a small quantity (about 1/2 tsp.) of MSM. There are no side effects. The most helpful of all for me is the B5. I also find that this regimen is more effective than the steroid poison. Be grateful she doesn't take it.
Avatar f tn ve never had any problems with side effects other than suppressed appetite. Thanks to our new insurance only covering the generic, I had to switch to a drug "identical" to the brand. When I initially told my mom I was worried about the switch, she told me they're the exact same thing. She's a pharmacist, so I took her word for it. Fast forward to today, when I started the generic. The day was fine. Around 7:30, I started acting EXTREMELY different.
484759 tn?1208573669 m experiences most of the listed pysical side effects (dilated pupils, nausea for most of the day, dizzyness, some restlessness etc.), but mentally I feel like I'm alive again and don't want to give up this medication at all. I have corrected the dosage as of today (1 x 50mg/day for the remaining of the 14 days and then increase to 1 x 100mg/day).
Avatar m tn Many people have trouble with Foradil 12 mcg (formoterol fumarate), but I have used this long-lasting inhaled non-steroidal powder with no side effects whatsoever. It is much longer-acting than albuterol sulfate. And the effects are rapid. As Tammy2009 stated, there are ocassional flare ups. I hope things settle down soon.
Avatar f tn what would the side effects be if a person took 40, 30mg adderall xr. how long do the side effects last?
Avatar n tn In this case, you really need it to work. If it has become stronger, the cardiac side effects could be too much for you to handle. I think this would be a dangerous drug to use out of date. See if you can find a free clinic in your area to go to. Many towns have at least one operated by a church. You can also go to the county health department to see if they have some options. Albuterol sulfate is a cheap med to buy.
Avatar n tn Steroids can also cause adrenal fatigue, especially with long-term use. I have sworn off all steroids, having suffered the worst of their side effects. I take albuterol and antihistamines and, in the place of steroids, take natural anti-inflammatories which safe, cheap, and more effective than steroids. But, hey, the drug companies can't make any money on them.
