I got off inhales steroids three years ago after suffering health problems caused by it. I now use natural anti-inflammatories plus nebulized albuterol and an anti-histamine.
Also, it is never a bad idea to have a nebulizer (breathing machine with liquid albuterol sulfate solution) in your home for those days where you can't seem to get relief from your inhaler. Not sure what would be causing the pain, maybe sleeping posture. Maybe stress. Have you had your allergies tested thoroughly?
I have had this Dreadful cough since November 2004. The last thing they have had me on is Albuterol liquid form that goes into a nebulizer machine. Inhaling nicotine from these e-cig devices would be as harmful as albuterol inhalers in fact e-cig might be safer than albuterol inhaler since albuterol frequently causes your lungs to internally bleed.
And the only reason our government wants to ban e-cigs is because they're not "tobacco products" and not subject to those extreme tax rates cigarettes receive. It's all about tax revenue, same reason all 'illegal' drugs remain illegal, no taxation.

For the past week i have been having extreme difficulties with my asthma and no matter what i do or where i go nothing is working, my albuterol solution and iprotrium bromide for the nebulizer, my albuterol sulfate inhaler, anti-allergen medications, even herbal treatments nothing is working at all, i have frequented my doctor he says my lungs sound clear and my oxygen blood level is reading good, however there is a tightness in my left lung and its hard to breathe, im having to use the nebulize
There could be several things. You could be in a flare meaning that albuterol is less effective and will require multiple times doses before you see improvement. This would be my first course of action.
Other options would be acid reflux. Acid reflux is often miss diagnosed as asthma. You should discus this with your doctor if you don't see improvement after a few days of following your rescue inhaler prescriptions directions at maximum dosage (around the clock).
This season came around and sure enough, when he got a cold it went straight to lungs (wheezing, SOB, coughing)
We started inhaled steroid (budesonide), albuterol regimen again. Proved unsuccessful to resolve cough. Round of Orapred proved unsuccessful to resolve cough. After four months we consulted with Pulmonologist. Switched up steriod to inhaled Flovent 44 instead of nebulizer and albuterol qid. No results. Chest x-ray and blood allergy (why not at this point) ordered and clear.
You don't mention what drugs they are giving her. A lot of patients do well with Coreg and lasix.
The Coreg, in the right dose, should help her heart beat more efficiently and stronger, helping to pump the fluid from her lungs, and the lasix would help clear the fluid from her system.
Something else that I have had in the past, for CHF, is albuterol. While most doctors don't like to use it with heart patients, it works real well for clearing the lungs.
Do you really want to be giving your son Pulmicort under any circumstances? It is a corticosteroid with many side effects. For instance it compromises the immune system and weakens bones. For a growing boy that does not sound great. There are natural anti-inflammatories that actually work better than steroids and which do not harm the patient. The albuterol is OK.
I have two children. My daughter is 2 and my son will be 1 in April. They both have horrible breathing problems. My daughter's breathing started to get nasty around 5 months of age and has been good and bad since. My son's breathing just started recently. They are both on pulmacort and albuterol and my son was just put on predisolone. Nothing is working!! Does anyone have any advice? I have asthma and have to use my albuterol inhaler occasionally. My heart's response to the albuterol is to speed up a bit (maybe 110) for about 15 minutes and then gradually go back to normal. Albuterol is an adrenergic drug and will act like a little boost of adrenalin.
As for the tachy bursts that you have, that sounds normal to me but only because my heart does that often. Then again, I do have arrhythmia issues.

my two years old son has an anemia and now is taking ferrous sulfide 3 bottles he took the first bottle already so befor e the 2 blood test due date he had an allergy asme coughing so his taking liquid ventolin albuterol,and ceron for cough and prednisolone orapred, its ben already 4 days and now i can see under his eyes bruises like sometimes reddish sometimes blue and dark specially at nights.
she feels she can not breath ( the emerg. center gave her albuterol and sent her to the hosp in an ambulanc)
her blood pressure was, 170 over 90 (at rest
her heart rate 170 give or take
she is 5'8" slim
and no drugs were found in the blood test
She was seen at university hosp Lexington Ky......
