Albuterol expiration

Common Questions and Answers about Albuterol expiration

2 days ago I went to ER for difficulty breathing with horrible rhales on inspiration and expiration. I was diagnosed via catscan with right lobe pneumonia. I am on albuterol for breathing, levaquin and prednisone. I am stuck out of town with no doctor around. I am not feeling better, feel more like I cant breath- now turn bright red in face and chest when coughing.choking. Am I jumping the gun to head back to an er? or is it a waste of time?
If you suffer from these disorders you know the medications you need. For asthmatics, Albuterol Sulfate emergency inhalers, Prednisone, Ipratropium Bromide, an expectorant, and optimally an electrically operated albuterol sulfate inhaler. You will be surprised to find that there are 12 volt air compressers available for automobiles and fish tanks that can provide the compressed air supply. Adding a filter (but NOT fibreglass!) would help. If you are unsure of the filtering material use none.
is it okay to use albuterol sulfate inhalation solution .083 % even if its out of code? I have real bad asthma and I got a serve cold and cant afford to go to doctor.
I had shortness of breath and wheezing only on forceful expiration. I was started on albuterol, prednisone, and antibiotics. It took 3-4 weeks before I started feeling better but never felt great. I was then started on Advair 250/50. Over the last year I have been on Allegra, Advair which has been increased to 500/50, and prednisone a few times when I am actively coughing up mucous and really don't feel well. I have never really felt great though in the last year.

He went to the doctor last week and he only prescribed a cough med even though he said he heard a wheeze at the end of the expiration. Now, my 5 year old has gotten it again, same cough,-it is worse during the night with her coughing so long and hard that she has tears in her eyes. She may even have a low grade fever, but again only at night. Is this just a virus going around?
If I go for a walk or Iron clothes or do anything that requires exercise I cannnot breath. Doctor's have prescribed albuterol and advair. I am not convince they help at all. I do not think it is asthma. I feel it stems from my diaphram. I have less problems when I am thinner. If you have any ideas as to what my problem is or a direction to go it would be help ful.
I also have some crackles on inspiration and/or expiration when lying down sometimes. I went to my GP in early January to have a chest x-ray, which he and the tech read as clear. I was and remain worried about possible silicosis because I sided my house a few years ago with some material that I only now know contained quartz. I probably worked with the material for a total of 60 hours over the course of a year. That was in 2002. Hadn't had any exposure previous or since.
In June this year I noticed wheezing, mostly when lying down at bedtime and when waking up - some days worse than others, with some (asthma-like) difficulty during inspiration and whistling during expiration. This gets better during the day. My physician prescribed Advair (little help) and a pulmonary specialist gave me Singulair and Nasonex. Singulair seems to help. He tends to blame the condition on allergies.
started to come back, mild headache again but this time with a funny taste coming from my chest and a general feeling of having a hard time breathing, especially and the end of expiration. I'm very fit athletically, go hiking or bicycling 3-4 times a week when I can, but now I notice that whenever I exert myself to where I have to breathe deeply, I have a slight cough, my chest aches and my lungs and airways feel as if they're on fire for hours afterward.
Basically, allpatients with thin-liquid swallowing disorders should have an emergency ALBUTEROL nebulizer. These nebulizers come in two types. You need the long white tube and the high-pressure type. Therse are no longer being promoted because I wastold by a hospital phamacist the propellent has been determined to be harmful. But you need only ALBUTEROL and NOT. REPEAT NOT ANY other asthma control medication.
I'd use my albuterol rescue inhaler to curb an attack or to pre-treat prior to exercising. I've been prescribed Singulair, Flovent and Qvar in the past but my breathing didn't seem to improve one bit with any of them. I've never been tested for GERD but I've suffered from acid reflux for almost 10 years. It's been pretty mild up until a couple of yrs ago.
VCD is an involuntary paradoxical adduction of the true vocal cords during inspiration, expiration, or both that results in variable upper airway obstruction.3 It is commonly reported to mimic asthma,4,5 exercise-induced bronchospasm,6,7 stridor,5 and dyspnea.5,8 Rarely, VCD has been reported to mimic angioedema and anaphylaxis.

peak flow meter Tuesday, July 8 (during a period of extreme fatigue) reads 490 (normal is 570-600) I take singulair once per day discontinued advair about 8 months ago have albuterol inhaler but doesn’t seem to help (my allergy physician says I should begin shot treatment, but I’m not convinced it works, is safe, or is the solution) Supplements: take vitamin B complex, and multivitamin take after meals (for blood sugar control): fenugreek, cinnamon, or prickly pear
Forgot to mention the saline test. I've also had this test and my understanding is it helps loosen any nasty stuff in your lungs so it can be coughed up and analyzed. My chest also felt "tight" afterwards, but this feeling did not last long (maybe a day). I use Albuterol, which also causes "shakiness", so I imagine this is a typical reaction to most bronchodilators. Sorry I can't be more help.
His doctor feels that these problems are being caused by his reflux and that sometimes just by the way the child is breathing will make the heart rate feel like it is not a steady beat. He use to use albuterol when he was younger, but hasn't had to for the past 2 years. He is a slender built boy, so I'm sure his heart beat probably is more noticeable when I place my hand against his chest. My questions are: 1. What is a normal heart rate for a child at rest and with activity? 2.
The heaviness on my chest increases with expiration as opposed to inhalation. It does not radiate to anywhere. It is not getting better or worse. I still feel fairly well, although the uncomfortable feeling is making it hard for me to lay down and go to sleep. I have been on Keflex for a few days for a UTI. I have NO sign of a respiratory infection....I am not coughing nor am I wheezing. I do not feel like I have gas at all. It doesn't feel like heartburn...there is no burning.

I thought at first i must have adult onset asthma but my breathing seems more labored with inspiration than expiration and i know with asthma u have trouble doing both. my symptoms are very simuliar to all of u above....but does anyone hear/feel a click in the throat after "an attack"...like theres some swellling of the throat that has not yet resolved. my husband has told me he can hear me swallow after a violent attack or even a mild one...and of course i can feel it.
I asked a doctor and she looked at me like I was crazy and prescribed ativan for anxiety and albuterol for the wheeze. I am afraid to ask any other doctor, due to they just give you that funny look and say "it sounds like your breathing", I even asked my husband and he said the same thing. I am going to see a pain management doctor this week to take care of my pain from the osteoarthritis and I think I may ask him.
