Common Questions and Answers about Albuterol dosage for 2 year old

advair

My 2 1/2 year old dd has been doing the same thing for a week now. only at night or in the morning. i took her in to the pediatrician on friday and they said it is "going around" (here anyways) they said it was viral. so there was no medicine. the first 4 days she has diarrea. she has been sipping on pedialite and it on the "b.r.a.t" diet. (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) that is what my doc said to do. so far no vomiting today or tonight. good luck everybody!
Same exact symptoms with my 3 year old for 2 years. Clear liquid dripping out mouth, coughing coughing coughing until puking. I just can't stand to see her go through this. No answers from 15 doctors, allergist or ENT. Anyone having any luck? I'll try the salt thing. Feels like I've tried EVERYTHING.
That was earlier this year. Well, I tappered again and this time I have been 100% hydro free for over 2 weeks. Things feel different this time. I'm tired of going thru the tapper and WD's. It really beats up me up. I too have not had the cravings hit me yet. Like I said just weird this time... and I'm glad. So nice to have a clear mind again. Have to deal with the pain but I'd rather do that than suffer the slow death of addiction and dependeny. Again, glad to hear your doing well.
I'm 22 and have had this post nasal drip for around a year and a half. Whats most annoying thing for me personally is the effect it has on my speech, probably from the thick mucous. Anyway just a few things I thought I'd share with you. I seen an ENT specialist around 4 months ago who diagnosed something called LPRD, which is very similar to acid reflux, but worth reading up on.
Generally a prescription is out of date if it is over a year old. If it cam in an original manufactures package, you can go by the date on that. I wouldn't risk using this kind of medication after expiration. Medications either lose their ability to work or become stronger. In this case, you really need it to work. If it has become stronger, the cardiac side effects could be too much for you to handle. I think this would be a dangerous drug to use out of date.
vomiting 10+ X per day.She has been anorexic for 2 weeks.. She was recently hospitalized for two days to rehydrate and stabilize. She was diagnosed during her hospitalization with a UTI (Gram negative 10k+). She was infused antibiotics X1 dose and 6 litres of fluids. In hospital care included Protonix, Zofran, Phenergan and Ativan. Her CBC,CH12, Amy, Lip were normal. She has Behcet's Disease and has been in remission for 3 months.
I have a 3 1/2 year old girl recently diagnosed with asthma. She take pulmicort everyday and when shes ill she takes it twice a day. I have been to the doctor 6 times in 2 months! I read everything there is to read about asthma. We know what here allergies are and have taken every precaution. When she has a cold it gets really bad. I know about retractions and counting breaths per minute etc...last night she had albuterol and was still retracting in the neck and lungs.
Respiratory support should be available, and the dosage should be increased stepwise as tolerated (approximately 5 mg/day of prednisone or equivalent at 2- to 3-day intervals until marked clinical improvement or a dosage of 50 mg/day is reached). Dose reductions of the acetylcholinesterase inhibitor may be required as symptoms improve, which often may be delayed and gradual.
Another possible exception is that you might need antibiotics in case of an infection with pertussis, where you cough for more than 2 weeks AND have an uncontrollable cough which can cause vomiting, or a whoop sound when you breathe in. In this case, your doctor may swab to look for pertussis, and may choose to start treating you with erythromycin or azithromycin (zithromax) especially if there's an outbreak of it locally in your community, just as we've had here locall in Santa Clara County.
I was a walk in at a clinic because I was having a panic attack (I thought I was dying) the doctor told me to take 25mg of toprol a day to help slow my heart rate and lower my blood pressure - after a couple months I gradually started having a very hard time breathing I went back and she told me it MIGHT be the toprol causing the problem yet told me to double the dose to 50mg once a day(because my bp was still kinda high) and gave me albuterol for the breathing the albuterol did absolutel
thanks for the advice. I am 34 years old, I lost 55 pounds last year and gained 10 back this Summer. I was doing the Clean Eating Lifestyle, but this Summer I resorted back to eating anything and everything. Just last week alone I lost 5 pounds. I am 5'10" and weigh 175 pounds. I went back to the Digestive Center on Friday basically begging for something to relieve my coughing and they basically told me tough it out! I was like WTH?
So I don't want anyone thinking I'm going to harm myself or anything like that. But for right now, I have zero left for anyone or anything else, for the first time in my life. I am struggling just to mark off each day as it crawls by. There are little activities that I promised my therapist that I would do, and I am abiding by my promise to her. I have to spend part of each day out in the sunshine, I have to go swimming, I have to eat things that I like, and most importantly...

I am a 24 year old male about 5'7" 145 lbs in solid physical shape accomplished by lifting weights five times a week. I eat well, aiming for a high protein diet low in fat incorporating vegetables whenever possible. I also avoid milk and dairy for the most part and tried to cut down on nuts as much as possible. I heard these are potential triggers for acne. I tend to drink 5-6 alcoholic beverages a night on the weekends.
1/4 tab Day 2: 1/2 tab Day 3: 1 tab Day 4: 1.5 tabs Days 5-19: 2 tabs Days 19-24: 1.
It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after.
coughing alot(sounding like croupe) so i brought him to the clinic on the 28th. He was put BACK on prednisone but this time for 10 days however day 1 10ml, day 2 9ml and minimizing by 1ml everyday until day 10. He is now on day 7 and he is wheezing alot..it's that gurling and hissing noise that you can hear as he breathes. I feel so bad...the weather isn't helping nor the mold but he's never gotten this bad...what exactly happens if this doesnt work out..
You know Effexor XR made Weith 3.5 Billion dollars a year. Not million, but Billion. Many don't know that for several years Effexor XR was the highest earning antidepressant on the market. For good reasons, it does work very well for many people when SSRI's do not. Strange thing is that Weith sold out to Pfizer several months ago, but Effexor XR in name brand will still be avalible. I was on Effexor at 300Mgs a day at one time. For a good many years it worked wonders for me.
3 Yrs ago, I started getting hives, now ive been diagnosed with eurticaria. Last year my legs starting pretty much ...going out. I cant stand for long periods of time, sometimes I get joint pain and all my bones crack constantly. I had knee surgery for a torn menisucus which just seemed to "happen" and during the surgery the dr found a arthritic bone spur which he had to shave down. He said it was strange because I was so young. (i was 28 at the time.
My wife had to take high doses for years and it nearly destroyed her. It aged her prematurely and she has the internals of a 70 year old. It saved her eyesight but at a terrible price. Be careful with that stuff. Meki.
If I don't SVR this time I think I'm going to throw in the towel. What worries me is the first 2 weeks I had bronchitis I couldn't keep anything down, a couple tims I fouht to keep my meds down which was really gross as you know VIC taste awful. I have to take my meds with 16oz of warm water and lay down with my head proped up!
This is from a 68 year old that doctored for 40 years before discovering the answer.
told me to take one and save the others for when my mouth was real bad and last he gave me an inhaler albuterol 2 puffs 4x a day. my sore thoat is gone for the most part...but i am calling tomorrow for a re-check. i did call my liver dr and left a list of all meds my gp gave me, was told if i couldn't take any of it,dr would call back, never got that call so i took the meds. still coughing a lot and still yuk coming up when i cough.
The lyme disease test came back negative.... I thought that too. I was on celexa for years, then went on cymbalta and had really bad side effects. (GI problems) I've been on Effexor for a year now, clonazepam and aprazolam...
I was then diagnosed with 'viral pneumonia', given mass amounts of steroids and after 2 weeks in the hospital was released with a breathing machine, albuterol and proceeded to reduce the dosage of steroid until off of them. This took over a year to be med free and I felt good for a short time and it came back again. I had many pulmonary function tests and lung xrays and they showed nothing.
knicks30, Thanks for the post. Q:"Am i doing enough?" Well anywayz, I think you are on the right track. The 45# weight loss is a great start to the 100# you said you need to lose. Q:"... and still high at docs office!!" Many people have high blood pressure at the doc's office but lower at home. This is usually for one of two reasons: either you have anxiety-provoked hypertension (from being at the doc's office), or you are not getting accurate home measurements.
i had held svr status 8 months post. still waiting for 'the year'. i also know a friend who developed pulmonary sarcoidosis after 12 months SOC(geno1) and took high dose prednisone EOT and reached SVR. i am now on TNF inhibitors which are warned to exacerbate dormant infections including HBV and TB. i gave much thought to this course of treatment due to the occult studies. i know of one friend also on TNF meds and has held her SVR status. my liver doc said they will not effect my SVR.
