Yes you can take Claritin or Zyrtec and take Tylenol or Advil with it. I wouldn't get the "D" kind just the plain and that should help with your allergies. I hope you feel better soon.

My Dr gave me a list of meds that can be taken. For cough cold allergy congestion says "you can take benadryl, chlortrimeton, dimetapp, actifed, sudafed, robitussin, claritin or tylenol. DO NOT TAKE any medicine with Advil or aspirin.

Pls stop taking the medicine at once and take some antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms. You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.Also apply calamine lotion on the itchy areas. If the symptoms persist, then you can get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Immunotherapy may be tried.Hope it helps.

About a week ago, my allergies started acting up and I think it developed into a sinus infection. I've been using a neti-pot 2x a day and taking Claritin D 24 hour once a day.

I began taking my Rebif shots without taking Advil in advance. Am I playing with fire?

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

Typically, the docs told me to try Advil PM. I've taken a few hydrocodone (very few) over my last 18-weeks of treatment when the feeling of having been beaten all over my body with a ball bat comes along. The docs didn't freak out over it as they trust that I don't abuse them. Regarding the nasal alergies, which kick my butt from time to time, they told me to take Claritin.

Whistle type tinnitus very loud! Pressure increases with head tilted forward or hyperextending. Almost as if head too heavy for neck. Periodic tingling in scalp, face and extremities. NO medicine works. Not advil, muscle relaxers or anything I have tried. I have had this "headache" for 14 days. I am still able to work but only because of extreme self discipline. I feel very confused and lightheaded. Any ideas would be appreciated.

He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all. Claritin does not work for him either, nor anyone in my family.

Went camping last week and it was like an oak pollen bomb exploded. Was using Claritin D and Benedryl, but doc has me using Advil Cold and Sinus, Mucinex DM and then Ocean Spray 5-6 times a day. It is day 5 of my period and I am starteing on an antibiotic today. I have taken robitussin tylenol, ibuprofen and claritin. Do these meds affect the egg if I have not ovulated yet? I should be over my cold and have taken all medication befor I ovulate. SHould I try this month or not?

I recently took advil today and yesterday thinking it was Tylenol. I just realised it was advil. I read a bunch online after finding out. They said small does are okay and as long as its before 32 weeks. Has anyone else had this happen or have any information they can help me with? I'm freaked out something is going to happen to my baby.

I just bought a packet that comes with two pills since the stores around me didn't have Benadryl . Is it okay for me to take one or two of the pills to help me sleep ? ( plus I have bad back pain so it's like killing two birds with one stone ) I just wana take it this one time because I haven't slept well for a few weeks now and can't function throughout the day because I'm so tired .

Beledryl makes some people fall a sleep with in 15-30 minutes of drowsyness but it works great for a few hours until it wears off. NasalCrom nasal spray (over the counter) does a little for specific nasal allergies but wears off after a few hours too. NasalCrom doesn't really have side effects that I know of, maybe a little dry nose. Really gentle stuff. There are no steroids in NasalCrom. Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help.

The constant high histamine levels can cause autoimmunity! Does the claritin help? If so, then I would have to say something is going on with his histamine level/immune system.
