They have told me NO advil or anti inflammatory drugs at all! No alcohol at all. If that doesn't do it check to see how many carbs and sugar you are drinking and eating. It doesn't have to be alcohol to hurt your liver; just too much sugar in general can hurt your liver as if it's alcohol.

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

Diclofenac is not an opiate and I have not seen anything indicating that it is addictive. This particular preparation is enteric coated, so it helps against stomach upset. It is part of the NSAID drug class and is an anti inflammatory. It is stronger than Aleive or Advil, so requires a prescription.

Is your brother taking any anti-inflammatory meds...like asprin,motrin, advil. They can tear a hole in the stomach. Also...alcohol, caffeine should be avoided. All of these will cause nausea and vomiting. But I think the Dr. would have already told him this. It is really frustrating when your symptoms cannot be diagnosed. Hey great accomplishment!!! Just keep positive. No, Advil is NOT using. It does help especially with the muscle aches and pains. We all have them and had them before using other forms of pain meds. Its okay to take over the counter meds as long as you are not dependant on them. Such as Cold meds and others that have alcohol in them, just to get high on. But, if you feel achy... take a hot bath and 400mg of Advil. I'm not sure about the Dramamine.

s the Advil you are taking. Ibuprofen like Advil could interfere with platelet production and elevate ALT. And since a Hep liver could be extra sensitive to meds, so I'm putting my bet here. I mean the other concern is the Hep / cirrohsis, and with your treatment and good response, it doesn't fit your lab trend.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Advil or Ibprofen compared to the Advil Migraine? From what ive seen, its basically the same thing, except the label says Migraine.

I recently took advil today and yesterday thinking it was Tylenol. I just realised it was advil. I read a bunch online after finding out. They said small does are okay and as long as its before 32 weeks. Has anyone else had this happen or have any information they can help me with? I just bought a packet that comes with two pills since the stores around me didn't have Benadryl . Is it okay for me to take one or two of the pills to help me sleep ?
