They symptoms include raised swelling spots /hives all over my body, facial swelling, especially the lips and eye areas, and terrible itching of skin and scalp. At one piont, I was diagnosed with asthma and put on a nebulizer for several months. The spots seem to move per occasion. I have been trying to scientifically figure out what is causing these conditions - keeping a food journal, seeking help of allergist, dermatologist and a GP.
For the last few weeks I have had itching in my hands and feet under the skin. It is not constant itching but extremely uncomfortable. Not painful. Just drives me crazy!! It is under the skin. No rash. Involves the bottom of my feet and my toes, and the palm of my hands and around the pointer finger and the thumb. I've tried itching creams to no avail and the only relief seems to come using benadryl. I am 55, going through menopause, but toward the end of it I hope.
advil is a minor anti inflammatory
I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose
more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate
I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma
As some of you know I suffer from severe health anxiety...I started going through a particularly bad time last fall...I am constantly afraid of headaches,fevers,muscle aches etc..as a result of this I started taking advil constantly and I am up to about 10 to 12 liquigels a day..If I don't take them my anxiety goes through the roof and I start to imagine headaches,pain etc...this can't be good for me..and I don't know how to stop...

We just found out yesterday I am expecting and figure im about 5 weeks. I have terrible headaches but I am allergic to tylenol, I have always just puked it up. Is there anything else I can take at this point?

What, if anything can I take for a headache? I've read far too many mixed reviews. I have advil and ibuprofen here, just don't Wana take anything besides my pre natals, too nerve wracking!
I ALWAYS have to take medicine and take it easy for a few days during my period. I usually take Advil the day before my expected period because they say that it works better if you take it before the pain starts. It does for me. For a cold take zinc gluconate (it has to be gluconate) tablets, 50 to 75 mg. I don't recommend the lozenges because there is sugar and you don't want sugar when you're sick).

Occassionally it flares up and becomes red and raised but presents no discomfort and as such has not been a cause of concern for me as I understand that it will hopefully disappear over time.
She has had a few outbreaks of hives though. This covers most of her body but is wrost on the back of her legs and buttocks as well as on her arms. She is 3 yeras old and has had about 4 or 5 outbreaks.
Mine were like that in the beginning. Try putting a cold towel on your breast it helps them stop itching and burning.
Everything came back negative however, I started experiencing severe ankle pain in both ankles especially in the Achilles and bottoms of my feet. It's been several weeks of different doctors from cardio, general physician, heart doctors testing for various areas and all negative. Hi guys! I have a lot of chronic pain problems with my knee, back and foot. I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!

Three days later, and after summer starts and I start a job that requires me to wear suits and sometimes stockings, I experience itching all around my vagina and increased discharge. I visit my doctor on Saturday (this past Sat.) and she gives me Diflucan of which I take one dose. The itching appears to be back but the general grossness is gone, but I plan on taking a second dose. She also takes swabs for vaginitis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. Results are pending.
I was afraid that I had affected the baby by taking Advil and aleve. So far things are going great and no issue with the baby. Not sure how the baby would have been affected after 32 weeks. I'm a first time mom so I'm not sure but I would just check in with the doctor just to be on the safe side and to feel secure.
