Had a bad cough in November - was given an antibiotic (an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>'t remember which), cleared it up, but I had a late term miscarriage right afterward. He was diagnosed with COPD (minor case of emphysema and bronchitis). He has since then just gotten worse. He has seen several specialists and none an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> figure out what is wrong. I soon began having severe trhroat probs, not being able to swallow without choking, lost 30 lbs., it was bean style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean> of a yeast infection in my throat fromn the an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advairan>. I also began having severe post nasal drip and have had drainage settling into my throat adding to my difficulty breathing. I went to an ear, nose and throat spec and he said I had allergies and needed to be tested and an allergist.I also began having extremely bad stomach problems, burping and acid reflux.
You will also want to make sure that you rinse your mouth thoroughly after use. This will help prevent an oral yeast infection called thrush that an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> be common with ICS use. It will also help reduce the amount of medication that is ingested. I have been working on a Health Page about the use of inhalers. I think I will go ahead and post it and work on it as needed. So look for that later today. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
Went to an urgent care, was told it was probably just a virus and was given <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advair</span> to use twice daily and albuterol to use. albuterol seemed to make things worse so I quit after 2 days of using it. No difference with an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advairan>. Still coughing I got in to see my allergist at around the 2 week mark. He did a chest Xray and said I had a little "junk" in my lungs, nothing too bad and by that time I also had some sinus congestion.

I am presently using <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advair</span> 2x day and an albuterol sulfate inhaler several times daily. I have believe I also have thrush. This has been going on for since October of 2007. Besides the inhalers my Dr. treated me for thrush a couple of months ago. He has referred me to a Pulminologist who has had me do breathing tests and a CT san style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>. I go in soon for the results.
Unfortunately, either the Symbicort or the avamyst has given me a fungal infection in the throat (and beyond ... it seems to go down quite far). This was not too unexpected as an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advairan> gives me horrible thrush that lasts for months. My question however is, if I stop taking the Symbicort and the avamys will the thrush go away, or should I go see my doctor to get anti-fungal stuff (i.e. Nystatin)?
my baby had it when she was little. Its not any diffrent then a yeast infection. Im surprised they didnt put you on a antobotic. ? or atleast give you something to clear it up. does it hurt? smile I always wondered. They told me many years ago it was common in babies. sorry.. I dont have any other info for you. I hope it gets better soon.
The thrush (which in case you didn't know already, is basically a yeast infection of the mouth/throat) apparently makes the reflux worse, and the reflux just makes the thrush worse, so you end up in this viscous cycle. The combination of thrush and reflux also an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean>s the esophagus to become inflamed, making swallowing of foods/pills a royal pain. When I swallow a pill, often I get the feeling that it gets stuck in my chest.
I couldn’t go into my apartment for more than 15 minutes without coughing and my eyes itching and just being miserable. I stopped eating all yeast and sugar and ate only vegetables and protein. Still….no help. The smallest little thing would set me off. I would go into a coughing fit and need my inhaler. By now it was about april and I had been suffering for several months. I went to the doctor and he put me on an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advairan>. I was on the an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advairan> for about a week and saw little improvement.
Does anyone know whether those injections would have had an effect on my teeth? Or, does anyone know if <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advair</span> would have any enamel softening effects? It is possible the an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean> is genetic, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. I have also read recently that bruxism (grinding of the teeth) is common among asthmatics. an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> anyone elaborate on this? Thanks!
I speculate you have a yeast infection , yeast infections are endemic in fact specialist doctors blame yeast for much of the illness that plagues the western world , I would agree having suffered for years [I know now] from the condition.
I hadn't mentioned before that I have a vaginal yeast infection (first I've had in years) bean style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean> I didn't think it had any relevance to the other problem. It was very scary to see that I have many of the symptoms associated with a nasty an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>dida (yeast) infection. It seems that these infections are not limited to "female" infections or Thrush but an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> get into your sinus and digestive systems too. Probiotics were also mentioned there as being helpful.
first two were done 20-25 yrs ago. Went on 20mg/day oral steroids an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean> asthma not controlled with <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advair</span> 500, Flonase and Singulair. Titrating down now/ 2 weeks. Every time try to sinus rinse, goes in ears. Tried sinus flush method, went in ears and hurts. Do I find the best clinic in country for this and f/u with local ENT, or go to a 3rd ENT here in Central Il. and hope for best? Where do I go? How do I find out why my immune system got whacked?
The normal sinus x-rays probably means there is no infection. However it could be an inflammation, not an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean>d by an infection. If this is the an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean>, it might respond to a course of nasal steroids, or possibly oral steroids for a short time. as far as asthma, this an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> occur even if you are not wheezing. Cough is the most common symptom. The best way to make this diagnosis is to have spirometry, a pulmonary test, both before and after an inhaled medicine that opens up your airways.
Just returned from ENT and he found that my vocal cords have developed a yeast infection - from Dulera. No wonder I wasn't getting any better.
I'm telling ya this is powerful stuff! I've used it for years on all sorts of yeast infections (yes, even those!) as well as many other things. It will knock out a kid's ear infection better than anything you an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> get from a doc! Sinus infection, tummy flu, boo-boos on skinned knees, etc., etc., etc. DISCLaIMER: I am not a paid spokesperson nor do I play one on TV. Best of luck and, please don't get a side effect from the GSE. I would feel just terrible!
Regarding the allergic reaction to alcohol,it is usually not the alcohol that produces the allergic reaction to the wine or beer. The other ingredients in the alcohol, such as yeast, sulfur dioxide, and additives are often the culprits. Beer may contain a variety of ingredients, including barley, corn, wheat, and rye that may precipitate an allergic reaction. Since the allergens have not been identified in your case,so I would advise you to get allergy testing done.
I read in an old post on this forum that this kind of thing could possibly be a sort of yeast infection in my throat, so I went out and bought a bunch of probiotic yogurt and soymilk in hopes that will help. any advice/help would be appreciated. I would love to avoid a THIRD trip to the doctor if possible (though if I must, I must). Thanks in advance for any help!
ask your doctor to use a swab to test the belly button for a yeast infection. I have a friend whose daughter has to use a G-tube to eat a special formula bean style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>causean> of a deadly protein allergy, and the tube site (similar to a belly button in a lot of ways) gets yeast infections all the time. The skin gets irritated, burns, cracks, and bleeds. It also puts out discharge if they don't catch the infection in time.
It’s a tiny risk, greater if you are older, overweight, obese, or have reduced blood flow in your neck arteries, but it’s a risk you must assume if you want get rid of an otherwise untreatable sinus infection. There is a possibility that the infection could go into your ear, which happened to me once, but I found a way to avoid it. You could also accidentally rub infected snot into your eye and get an eye infection, if you are careless.
My pulmonary doctor recently increased my dosage of <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>advair</span> from 100/50 to 250/50 and it has not helped. So I called him and he put me on prednisone 5mg 4x per day until I feel better and then I an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan> decrease by one pill every three days. Today is my 4th day and I still an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>'t stop coughing.........I'm so sore. I'm wondering when and how it will work. My chest xray is okay. My brother has severe asthma and he says that the prednisore will work but it does have some nasty side effects.
I also now an style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>canan>not get rid of my yeast infection. I have been on shots since December of 06, I take zyrtec, rhinoquart aqua, pulmicort , sinus irrigation 3 times a day, and I also steam 3 times a day. i have had surgery once. I have had my mucus tested and It is not fungal, I have also been tested for an immune deficiency. I have been tested for diabetes. So I have no other options left.
