duo neb treatments 4 times a day; tylenol for fever and Guaifenesin.Plus my everyday meds of Advair 500/50 twice a day 1 puff; Singulair 10 mg 1 time day and Protonix 40 mg twice a day. I have been in and out of the ER. I have seen my PCP;Cardiologist and Pulmonologist. All chest x-rays, stress test and echocardiogram came back normal. Still having all the same symptoms. I keep getting sent back and forth between doctors with no resolve.

can anyone help? i am taking advair 500/50, albuterol inhaler or nebulizer as needed, zyrtec- d, my allergist put me on symbicort, but it was too strong and i could not tolerate it. has anyone had any similar experiences?
I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma and I could not use advair, it made me jumpy and my breathing worse, I was using a rescue inhaler every 3-4 hours. To make a long story short, I am seeing a Naturopath Doctor and I am not on any medications, no Asthma since May 2007. See a good Naturopath, it doesn't hurt to try something else other than the usual inhalers, prednisone and other pharmaceuticals. You're too young not to try something else else. Don't give up!
So they are still leaning towards an allergy of some kind. Pulmonary specialist give me Advair and tells me to use it with my inhaler. Neither of those are helping and I hate how I feel on the Advair, so I stopped it. The other - Maxair does absolutely nothing to relieve the asthma either.
We just moved from a house that had possible mold in it. I could never prove the mold, but there was a year long water leak in the walls that they refused to fix, until I threatend to sue them.

The last 9 or so I've sought alternative healing solutions, have been given breathing exercises, physical exercises, diet tips, acupuncture, salt inhalers...nothing has worked for me so far.
I had a head cold that turned into a chest cold. I cough and wheez and now my doctor said it's asthma. Can I suddenly get asthma if I've never had it before. I'm on Advair which is temporarily helping me, but I'd like to cure this cough and get rid of it.
it seems like advair is making my asthma worse. i started taking advair like 7 month ago and it seemed like for the first few months it was working but i had to become dependant on it everyday or else i would start weezing nonstop. after that my weezing was worst than ever and i started noticing that after i used advair my weezing was much worse. i saw this thread yesterday and now for a day and a half i havent used it and i feel alot better.
Is it safe to stop taking Advair cold turkey when my symptoms improve or do I need to take something else to come off it slower?
Can long term use of Advair cause bruising? I have been on 500/50 for two years in the summer months and 250/50 the remainder of the year. I am bruising easily and believe it may be a long term side effect for using Advair.
I have been cautious about creating any sort of quick, drastic, pressure change in my mouth but now, I wonder about the use of my Advair diskus. I take Advair on a regular basis for asthma and have refrained from using it in the 24 hours post-extraction because I figured the quick inhalation may dislodge the clots. Now, however, it has been two days post-extraction, and I wonder whether it is safe to use Advair without risk of dislodging the clots.
Steroids are often worse than the disease it treats. Advair almost killed me. By the way, steroids harm your immune system. And - reputable doctors are no long using Adviar 500. And in Februrary the FDA came out with a warning about Advair. They said it should only be used when nothing else worked and, even then, it should only be used short term.
Maybe you need another doctor.
I have had several problems with advair such as thrush and irregular heart beat. Also, my endocrinologist suggested that my osteopinia (sp?) could be related to advair use but it's just one possible culprit. I'm a runner and just finished a marathon and got thrush again from advair so decided I wanted to at least take a break from it. Well, it's been a few days and I have never had such breathing problems before I used advair, I have a constant headache and I'm exhausted.
I have been on Advair for one week. It has completely taken my taste and smell ability away. I am not going to take it any more, but will my taste and smell senses return with time?

I have the same problem. My doc had me on 250/50 2 times daily. It became a problem for me becuase I am sensitive to medications. I don't like feeling jittery because it freaks me out LOL. I stopped using it and then just Sunday, had an asthma attack.
Now I'm using my inhaler and will have to start back on it.

My doc understood my concern about Advair. He said to take it once in the morning or afternoon regularly.
I have fitness induced asthma, and my doctor put me on advair or something like that. And the next few days after taking it, I got really bad chest pains when I'd run. Has that happened to anybody else? Should I worry?
i've had asthma for a long period of time, and i was taking advair to treat it. I had it under control to the point where i didnt need to take advair anymore but recently ive been having the symptoms again, so ive started back taking the advair that was prescribed to me when i first got it. is that ok?
They said that I likely have asthma and prescribed me with Advair 100/50 for a year. During the one month that I took Advair I was concerned about drug dependency, side effects, high costs of the drug ($180 per month), and the necessity for it since I have NEVER had an asthma attack. The warnings that come with Advair say that people with Thyroid disease shouldn't take it. I am a sever asthmatic on 8 medications, but I also have Graves disease and had my thyroid killed. Therefore, I take Amour Thyroid. What is the problem with Advair and thyroid disease? My mother and brother who have hypothyroidism are also on Advair.
Yes..Advair is horrible for you. It brings your immune system way down. If you can go without it, I suggest you do so. I have meneire's diseases and I believe it was caused by the advair. My sister is on the Advair and has a constant sore throat but she can't breath very well without it. She could breath better before she was on advair. At first, you feel great on Advair. After a few months, for a lot of people, your health is worse.
I was recenlty put on advair to see if they would help but it hasnt. Could this be some kind of disease or condition that know one knows about? This has really taken its tole on me and has taken away from my normal life. All the doctors tell me is to wait it out, but im convinced there is something else wrong with me. Please Help!
I usually use advair diskus for my asthma but I no longer have insurance and I can't affor to pay for it? Is there another medication I can use that is not so expensive?
