advair mdi

I take Advair for allergies,cat,moulds,dust and Dr.said i have sinus drip that causes me to cough a lot.Inhaler helped,but now i find i am losing my voice.I had a sore throat for 2 weeks,now my voice is very weak, only whisper,and some flem at back of throat at times.If i talk normal cracky and difficult for 2 weeks now.Sometimes i feel inhaler is causing my voice problems or both?

I take 500 MDI of Advair twice a day and spiriva. I still smoke a little a day. I also have to work in a hot humid kitchen in the summer. I started having panic attacks when I would get busy and I would get winded easily and fustrated. I am off work presently but I want to go back soon. Anyone in a similar situation and if so, any suggestions.

Some doctors will also give you samples. I recently had my respiralogist give me 3 full sized advair MDI to use until our next appointment. It sure helps the pockets :) Also, different brands will have different sizes that may be cheaper. I went from 2 puffs twice a day on advair ($120 every 3 weeks before I had my drug plan) to surviving on 1 puff twice a day of pulmicort (although it did increase my ventolin from 1 every 2 weeks to 2-3 a week) which costed me $150 but lasted 3 months.

I was just wondering if anyone knows about asthma treatment during pregnancy. I am a 24 yr old who is looking to get pregnant and have come off my advair and singlair but am now taking my albuterol MDI several times a day. I don't know if there is something other than the advair that I can take or If I should just go back on it.

I also have a diagnosis of bronchietasis which showed up on an xray and CTscan when I had pneumonia 3 years ago. My pulmonologist told me then that I had mild to moderate COPD with emphazema as well. This is strange because I have never smoked or drank (58 yrs of age) or had respiratory problems in the past. 10 years ago I was treated for breast cancer with chemo-FEC and radiation. I have remained cancer free since then.

I was on MDI for 5 years, then the pupm for 2 years and I asked to go back to MDI, it's been 3 years. Results are similar good, pain was hirgher so was financial cost. I fell more freedom with MDI.

Really hard to say which will work better. Since like punk others prefer mdi. However it week be very valuable if you can get him a cgm (continuous glucose minitoring).

Unforunately we have to, I am also on 6 puffs of advair 250/25 MDI (yes above the recommended dosage), singulair 10mg, nasonex and still using ventolin and atrovent daily. So prednisone is the only other thing that we can add when the asthma flares which has been regular the last couple of months .... it refuses to settle down and we can't pin point the exact triggers.

Separate dosing of Lantus (long acting) and Humalog (short acting) where you inject each insulin separately (also called MDI for multi daily injections) is much more flexible. You test and adjust your basal insulin (lantus), then you dose your fast acting for each meal based on how much food / carbs/ protein you eat. You can also use your Humalog to correct for high blood sugars. Mixed insulin cannot be used to correct high blood sugars.

it seems like advair is making my asthma worse. i started taking advair like 7 month ago and it seemed like for the first few months it was working but i had to become dependant on it everyday or else i would start weezing nonstop. after that my weezing was worst than ever and i started noticing that after i used advair my weezing was much worse. i saw this thread yesterday and now for a day and a half i havent used it and i feel alot better.

Is it safe to stop taking Advair cold turkey when my symptoms improve or do I need to take something else to come off it slower?

Can long term use of Advair cause bruising? I have been on 500/50 for two years in the summer months and 250/50 the remainder of the year. I am bruising easily and believe it may be a long term side effect for using Advair.

And I was wondering if you could get an MDI in your hip, because I am experiencing similar pain in my hip and shoulder.

I have been cautious about creating any sort of quick, drastic, pressure change in my mouth but now, I wonder about the use of my Advair diskus. I take Advair on a regular basis for asthma and have refrained from using it in the 24 hours post-extraction because I figured the quick inhalation may dislodge the clots. Now, however, it has been two days post-extraction, and I wonder whether it is safe to use Advair without risk of dislodging the clots.

Steroids are often worse than the disease it treats. Advair almost killed me. By the way, steroids harm your immune system. And - reputable doctors are no long using Adviar 500. And in Februrary the FDA came out with a warning about Advair. They said it should only be used when nothing else worked and, even then, it should only be used short term. Maybe you need another doctor.

I have had several problems with advair such as thrush and irregular heart beat. Also, my endocrinologist suggested that my osteopinia (sp?) could be related to advair use but it's just one possible culprit. I'm a runner and just finished a marathon and got thrush again from advair so decided I wanted to at least take a break from it. Well, it's been a few days and I have never had such breathing problems before I used advair, I have a constant headache and I'm exhausted.

I have the same problem. My doc had me on 250/50 2 times daily. It became a problem for me becuase I am sensitive to medications. I don't like feeling jittery because it freaks me out LOL. I stopped using it and then just Sunday, had an asthma attack. Now I'm using my inhaler and will have to start back on it. THE SOLUTION: My doc understood my concern about Advair. He said to take it once in the morning or afternoon regularly.

My instinks kept telling me that it was the Advair that brought it on. I knew it when i found that Advair surpresses your amune system and i found that it has brought on major illnesses and death. I have been off Advair for 2 days and already feel better and like my happy self is coming back.
