I usually use advair diskus for my asthma but I no longer have insurance and I can't affor to pay for it? Is there another medication I can use that is not so expensive?

I have been cautious about creating any sort of quick, drastic, pressure change in my mouth but now, I wonder about the use of my Advair diskus. I take Advair on a regular basis for asthma and have refrained from using it in the 24 hours post-extraction because I figured the quick inhalation may dislodge the clots. Now, however, it has been two days post-extraction, and I wonder whether it is safe to use Advair without risk of dislodging the clots.
I use the Advair Diskus 250/50 every 12 hours. My job requires that I talk. It has become difficult to talk with the use of the Diskus. If I stop using it a few days my voice comes back. My Doctor told me to gargle, which I do when I rinse my mouth. I have also tried using biotene moisturizing mouth spray as well as the cream. Nothing seems to help. My employer is always asking when this is going to change. I want my voice back. Do you have any suggestions.
It did not work even after trying it a year. I was then given Advair Diskus 250/50, after 2 1/2 months called the doctor because of using emergency inhaler Albuterol Sulfate 90mgc min 10 times a day.
Albuterol created a vocal cord problem. Now been put on Flovent Diskus 100mgc and continue the Albuterol. Question, do the Flovent and Advair have the fluticasone propionate ingredient in common? Tonight will be my 1st use of the Flovent.
My pulmonary specialist just gave me an Advair Diskus and increased my Albuterol breathing treatments to 4-6 daily and my Combivent Inhaler every 4 hours. I almost died from an asthma attack last weekend. I had emergency heart surgery in June and have been having arrhythmias so I'm on a heart monitor for this month. The inhaled steroid Flovent® (fluticasone propionate) has a half life of around 5 hours, so it would be totally out of your system in a few days. As for your teeth and mouth, your doctor should have given you instructions to rinse or brush your teeth after using the Advair, otherwise it can eat through the enamel and also cause sores and sensitivity in your mouth. m experiencing multiple disturbing symptoms which I suspect are related to Advair Diskus use. For disclosure, I DID NOT follow usage instructions (due to being uninsured and broke) and stretched out use to over a month and a half, using only once a day most of the time -also partially due to the fact that it makes me puke. I used it several months ago for the 1st time and quit after it almost ran out. I quit using it this (2cnd) time about 6 days ago.
However using a long-term control medicine, like Advair, Diskus (fluticasone/salmeterol), should help clear it away quicker.

was scripted Advair Diskus q.12h. for the SOB (shortness of breath) symptoms even though already had been taking occasional Primatene tablets and albuterol inhaler for seasonal hayfever and allergy symptoms of SOB which worked quite well). Had a nightmare the very first night - have not had nightmares in decades (with the exception of Bushbaby in the White House but that is a real life nightmare). Also became easily agitated, restless and quick to anger.
I am using advair for my asthma and it seems to help with those symptoms and I also have a rescue inhaler Flovent. But i do clean my advair diskus before and after each use. I dont have any infections in my mouth or lung i just have the white mucus and it has only been happening for two months and I have been using the advair about a year now. I heard from someone that the white mucus could be from allergies...is that true?
I use Duoneb (similar to combivent) in a nebulizer and find it very helpful. I discontinued the use of Advair (which is basically a combination of Serevent and Flovent) because it almost killed me (choking). It also caused adrenal fatigue, was harming my eyes, and was subverting my immune system.
In place of Advair I use a variety of natural anti-inflammatories and mucolytics. My health is much improved and I found that the severe bronchitis I had was in fact CAUSED by the Advair.
I have the same problem. My doc had me on 250/50 2 times daily. It became a problem for me becuase I am sensitive to medications. I don't like feeling jittery because it freaks me out LOL. I stopped using it and then just Sunday, had an asthma attack.
Now I'm using my inhaler and will have to start back on it.
THE SOLUTION:
My doc understood my concern about Advair. He said to take it once in the morning or afternoon regularly.
Like the title states, i have a brief breathlessness when i use my advair, i have been using it for about 4 years now. The sensation lasts for about 2 minutes then gradually relieves my asthma on the whole. i Use a 250/50 Diskus. Also today i had a slight aspiration issue from what i believe to be GERD related but not yet diagnosed. acid keeps washing into my esophagus and twice today it got into the lungs and now i have a non stop sensation that my lungs are hot and irritated!
