it helped open up my lung and i was told by more than one doctor to take this inhaler every day like people take blood pressure medicine everyday. so I did that ( i was on a blood pressure medicine too at the time 20mg of benicar).I have lost more wt and no longer need BP medicine. Now my asthma doctor is saying second medicine (21 mg) could be causing high pulse. my concern is not high pulse as much as that it does NOT come down quickly.( by the way i am almost 64 yrs.
I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.
This has been described in the medical literature in response to inhalation of high dose corticosteroids (Advair). It is, especially with your report of low blood pressure, a serious event –it may well be an emergency situation.
I strongly recommend that you contact a family member or friend, to join you for assistance. Then immediately call your doctor and describe your situation, to his/her staff as an emergency situation. Ask that they describe your situation to your doctor immediately.
I have been cautious about creating any sort of quick, drastic, pressure change in my mouth but now, I wonder about the use of my Advair diskus. I take Advair on a regular basis for asthma and have refrained from using it in the 24 hours post-extraction because I figured the quick inhalation may dislodge the clots. Now, however, it has been two days post-extraction, and I wonder whether it is safe to use Advair without risk of dislodging the clots.
I have shortness of breath quite often, along with weakness, grouchy moods, inability to concentrate, trouble remembering things, depression, headaches. I also suffer from real bad allergies. I take meds for depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol & Diabetes type 2. I also take sleeping pills. I had a persistent cough that would not go away so my regular doctor prescribed Symbicort & Advair Inhalers. Ever since I am inhaling the sprays my cough has stopped.
All I know is that sometimes I feel like I have something stuck in my throat lower down or some pressure in my chest. I am 36 and my blood pressure is excellent. I smoked for 3 years total. I am on advair and spiriva.
I am active and run on the treadmill for about 1/2 hour 5 days a week. I seem to feel worse or heavy chested and feel the need to clear my chest a couple of hours after I run.
Anyone have the same kind of experience or advice?
Ever since I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, I've noticed that the meds I receive sap the potassium out of my body. I try to supplement with high potassium foods to balance out the sodium-potassium ratio. But since I had my hysterectomy 2 years ago, the muscle spasms have gotten more sever. They strike at any time, mostly under my rib cage, inside upper thighs, feet, upper arms, forearms and into my hands pulling my fingers in a curled position.
I have moderate to advanced copd and take both advair and spriva. My hep doc didn't see any problem with it For me it came down to a choice of whether or not I wanted to stay of the oxygen tank.
but, I have shortness of breath and a feeling of pressure on my chest along with sporadic itching and skin crawling feeling. No rash. I have had all allergy skin and blood tests (with the exception of the dermo patch test)and chest xrays which were all negative. I take zytec and singulaire and have had 3 steroid shots this calendar year. Heat and humidity seem to bring out the symptoms. I am trying to determine possible causes. Can you please assist?
why do i cough up blood? my dr. has tried to explain it to me, something about air ways, air vents, etc. i do this the majority of the time maybe 2 days in between doing so. sometimes it's bright red and then sometimes a darker pink. i have 50% breathing capacity and am on oxygen. it's real scary even though i've been told not to worry about it. i take advair and spiriva and don't cough up that much but when i do and it is very little.
I have read that the cough could also be a symptom. I was also diagnosed with Asthma and was given both Albuterol and Advair for inhalers. I was also diagnosed with mild Sleep Apnea. When I consulted with a sleep technician, I was told that the Apnea was not in play in regards to my symptoms as that only affects sleep. I do not feel as though it is the Asthma as I experience no wheezing.

I think it is possible for some of asthma medications to affect blood pressure. I'm 90 pounds and only 21 years. My blood pressure has been 109/83 to 120/94 now that I'm on daily asthma medication when it was 100/70 last year before I was diagnosed. The higher reading was when I was on max dose of symbicort and prednisone. I believe the medications have something to do with it.
Then again, they were done at my chiropactor's office and he has never said anything about them.
I went back to the doc and he ordered a chest xray, blood tests and heart tests which all came back ok. Anyway, these symptoms have been occuring more and more regularly lately, on a day to day basis, which can be very unsettling. I havent had 1 day in the last month that I didnt feel short of breath and or my irregular breathing. I even went to a lung doctor and they did breathing tests.
I am 35 years old and never thought I had HIgh Blood pressure until recently. As I am into my higher studies, when visiting the doctor for a fall, they told me I had high pressure readings of 160/110. My pulse was also high, ( I was diagnosed with tachycardia some years ago which was again put down to stress.) They put it down to anxiety and stress, and gave me atenenol 25 mg. Since then I have developed a fear, and my pulse raises whenever the doctor checks my pressure, and my pressure is high.
2wks tomorrow since surgery and still have tingle in feet and hands,and blood pressure still not going down,was 146/97 today. I just dont understand to be like 97/72 up till i fall asleep for surgery and to wake up this high,and stay that way. Dr says he dont know what to do next,what it could be. I know this cant be good to go on now with this high of blood pressure and nothing done about it. I dont know where to turn to next.
4 years ago after the birth of my child I was on 4 different medications. Today none, and my blood pressure is 100/60. All the ideas mammo gave you on exercise, low salt diet and more is what helped me get off medications and get my BP back on track. It isnt good to walk around with uncontrolled blood pressure so for sure get in as soon as you can and get things sorted around with your doctor.
I have had high blood pressure my whole pregnancy, often as high as 170s/100. I was put on meds and told modified bed rest last week at 35w5d. Ihave not had to do urone collection as when it spikes they make me come back the following 2days for checks and urine samples. If it os still high this week at my 36w5d appt while on the meds i think they will probably put me on full bed rest until i deliver.
I am a 58 year old female and my question is about high blood pressure and sex. While I understand blood pressure rises during sex I wonder if it is normal to get a sudden onset pounding migraine. This is new the last two times at climax. I was curious and checked my blood pressure the last time and it was 160/88. The headache is sudden and severe and remains for hours after. Is this something I should be concerned about?
