Avatar f tn You can go to your family doctor to ask about these symptoms and to inquire if you might have adult ADD. I went to my family doctor to get diagnosed.
Avatar n tn This can be assessed by a sleep questionnaire and therapy is based on the severity of symptoms. I would advise you to discuss your symptoms with your primary care physician who may then refer you to a sleep specialist for further evaluation. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
1858622 tn?1319813203 I do recommend some on line sites which have a lot of useful information since they are aimed at adults by adults with ADD. The two sites aimed at the adult ADD sufferer that you might want to check out are totallyadd.com and http://jeffsaddmind.com/for-first-time-visitors. Both sites are done by people with ADD. totallyadd was actually a PBS special and consequently is a series of short videos. Quite entertaining and useful. Jeffs add mind really reflects him.
Avatar f tn As for differences between bipolar and adult ADD - google has information, personally I believe adult ADD to be up their with childhood *** as about most over diagnosed thing around and do not remotely believe its as prevalent as people say - I have met plenty of adults who claim to be ADD and not one of them truly fits the symptoms and the behaviours but hey they get ritalin and it works so they must be ADD right? * Ritalin works on non ADD and ADD people in most cases...
Avatar f tn I'm still a work in progress :o), so I can't help with your questionairre; however there is a recent article in Clinical Care Options that discusses the term "cure" as is used in HCV management. Here's the addy: http://tinyurl.com/2m9fwn You'll probably be asked to register, but it's quick and free.
Avatar f tn To add, I've also had some of these symptoms from hypothyroidism such as internal tremors, neck pain and lightheadedness. Some people also suffer migranes, night sweats, insomnia from hypothyroidism as well.
Avatar f tn Hi, my son has all the symptoms of ADD, however, as his QB test results were within normal parameters we have basically had his case closed by the community paediatricians. Is it possible for a child with ADD to actually get normal results? I just don't know where to turn now...

12030399 tn?1423224444 My husband just sent me a text saying he called them and they are sending me a questionnaire to see if I qualify for the treatment? I'm always really iffy about things like this and just wanted to see if anyone has heard of him.
Avatar m tn I was recently diagnosed with adult add. My doctoe prescribed adderall 20mg a day. It helps a lot with focus & motivation. But when I am at work or in social settings I feel paranoid & xtreme anxiety. My doc said he is upping my prozac that would help with social anxiety. But it will take a month to feel a benefit from that & the adderall will probably just override it. I did not take the adderall todday b4 work. I don't know what to do. Just take adderall on my days off?
Avatar f tn Have you ever had your thyroid checked? Hypothyroidism (too slow) can cause low energy as well and is directly linked to clinical depression. It can cause many female issues as well that could look like the premenapause that your doctor's are checking you for. You are clearly depressed and i don't know about ADD. Usually to be diagnosed with ADD as an adult you would tell tales of all kinds of difficulty as a child.

707438 tn?1240959640 I know I have ADD as an adult and it can be frustrating. I get distracted easily and what really bugs me is I will get excited about some project but become quickly bored and leave it. So I always have half finished projects. RR is right, though, about the creativity. I guess it has it's good points. I think you learn to compensate a lot as an adult. But yes, adults certainly can have ADD. I don't think you just outgrow it. You learn to deal with it better, that's all.
