Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?

For premature acne, if the acne is protected from the sunlight and sometimes an antioxidant treatment if applied in the initial stage to cure the lesions of acne then it can be cured at the beginning. Then medical treatment is the same as adult acne i.e initially benzoyl peroxide and topical antibiotics are used. But they are to be used under medical supervision and not one one’s own.

It has now been three weeks post-accutane, and I am starting to get more and more whiteheads. Not the big inflamed whiteheads I used to get but it looks like things are returning. My dermatologist prescribed retin a micro. I was really hoping accutane would finally be the answer and am reluctant to start another treatment that is said to cause initial breakouts and red, irritated, and peeling skin.
I have visited the Bahamas multiple times now and everytime I go down there, my upper back and shoulders break out in absolutely horrible acne. Mostly it contains whiteheads and then a constant redness starting from the lower shoulder blades up to my neck line. It seems to happen a few days after I go swimming in the ocean but it is at least partially possible it could be due to the over sweating from the warm climate.

From your symptoms perioral dermatitis and adult acne are important possibilities. It occurs due to hormonal imbalance at this age. Just keep you face clean by washing with a mild soap atleast twice a day. Pat it dry and do not rub it. Avoid picking or pressing the acne. You can also use Benzoyl peroxide 5% lotion or gel once at bedtime. An amount of lotion the size of a pea should be enough to cover most of your face.
they hurt and appear as small dots but then you can feel a big lump underneath them, i also see that they are whiteheads as well, how do i get rid of these? should i use powder in case of chaffing or sweating? they really hurt and i dont know what to do about them!

Over the past couple of years I've started to develop severe acne all over my body. Mostly small whiteheads, with occasional cysts. I get it everywhere, back, shoulders, chest, arms, stomach, butt, even on my legs. My face is actually the one place that has the least amount of acne, and remains pretty clear. My skin also gets pretty oily throughout the day. It all started in my mid-twenties, I never had a lot of problems with my skin before.
I have no other symptoms of PCOS except some acne on my chin (but occasional breakouts are not uncommon for me, I have oily skin, plus an expired skin product and eating wheat with my allergy may have caused this). I am a pear shape with thick legs, I don't gain weight in my abdomen, no hair loss or facial hair symptoms. My acne isn't really cystic, just small tiny whiteheads.
Did any of you ONLY have missed periods as a symptom? Should I be concerned?
Okay so Ive been suffering from acne for about 5 years or so, and Ive never experienced anything like this. I woke up one morning and noticed that I had very small whiteheads on the left side of my face. I dismissed it as regular acne and didnt think much of it, but as the day went on I noticed that it started to spread. The next morning I woke up with these whiteheads ALL over my face.
I am 16 years old and got my period about 2 years ago. I experience minor acne on my face, but nowhere else until recently. Last year I began shaving my armpits and soon after got minor acne (for lack of a better word. It was red bumps and whiteheads) on my left armpit, which soon spread to my right. It stayed for the remainder of the summer, then went away and left minimal scarring. Now it is summer again and I recently shaved my armpits, only to experience the same problem.
m mostly convinced from the Experts forum and elsewhere that odds of contacting HSV from the encounter described above is low, but last night I noticed what looked like a breakout of whiteheads on my chin and a couple on my cheek. . .close to lips, but not touching them. The reason I'm even posting here is Because you said a few things to test for to check for different kinds of thyroid problems that I begged my PCP to check for & age kept running the same standard thyroid panel & she kept saying I was "NORMAL"... Even though I was high on the 1 (F3 or F4) & low on the other (F3 or F4)... Yet even when I brought that to her (my Drs) attention She said safe want writing me anymore tests because my tests came back fine...
I recently engaged in unprotected sex, and the day after my pubic region became sore and i noticed dozens of whiteheads appearing under the pubic hair. I have just finished my 2nd course of Isotretinoin after being on 20 mg 5 days a week for just over a year. I thought my acne would finally be cured for life, or at least not covered in spots again, and now after being off it for about a month my skin is covered in Little whiteheads that will not go and has been like this for a few weeks, worst on my nose. This did not happen to my skin after I finished my 1st course, my flare up didn’t happen for about 4/5 months. Any help?
For over 7 years I have been getting a rash on my chest, back and now forehead with sun exposure. It is multiple tiny red bumps and whiteheads, not itchy. Onset is usually 24-48 hrs after sun exposure and lasts approx 4-5 days. I have gone to several dermatologists who give me creams for (rosecea, ploymorphic light eruption, allergy, etc.) Nothing works. I have had a full autoimmune work up as well- with all tests being negative.
Whiteheads are probably just acne. Try a facewash for a week or two and see what happens. I doubt this is caused by an STD. Mouth ulcers, without actually seeing them could be either HSV 1 or possibly syphilis(Which would be incredibly rare). I would recommend that you pursue testing for herpes, syphilis, gonnorrhea and chlamydia. These are all easily treatable or controlled(herpes).
I am 25 years old, have suffered form adult acne since i was about 14 and had been experiencing lower abdominal pain on my left side for several years. In the last couple of years, I started experiencing hot flashes accompanied by moderate-severe anxiety and depression. Just as an aside, I studied psychology for several years and have earned, not only my bachelors in psych, but also several certifications and honors surrounding my degree ( I start my masters in a couple of months!).
To add, I did receive a pimple that appears under the skin by my nose as well as 2-3 whiteheads on my nose. I suffer from acne and I just ran out of acne antibiotics last week(Possibly Thursday or Friday). I do break out when I shave which I did yesterday.
I know being an individual who suffers from acne makes this case a little more difficult.
I was also told by family members that symptoms for hiv or herpes would only really occur until weeks after the sex incident.
I have a history of cystic acne, which hasn't bothered me in about 4 years. I am 25 years old.
A couple of days ago, I got a huge breakout of whiteheads - something that I have never experienced before.
I haven't changed any soap, cleansers, detergents, fabric softener, anything.
The zits are all over my chin and sides of my face and on my forehead.
