acne

Avatar f tn that was very noticable and some on the front of his chest that were much larger than acne. He said it was from adult chicken pox? He also had an enlarged lymph node on his neck. He is going to good school in the United States from out of the country and I'm very worried. I have started to develop slight symptoms such as yeast infection, a couple of days after I got sick (no fever), slight fatigue and now I think I might have a lesion on my tongue.
1388445 tn?1289267388 About a year ago my husband started developing adult acne. He's 26 years old. Since then it has just gotten worse and worse. It now covers his cheeks, most of his fore-head and down his neck and its starting to scar. It seems like we've tried everything! over the counter acne soaps, creams, lotions, pro-active, prescrisption medication, good hygene; washing his face alot. Sometimes it gets to the white head but some are just bumps. it looks, like irritated.
Avatar m tn I am 25 years old, have suffered form adult acne since i was about 14 and had been experiencing lower abdominal pain on my left side for several years. In the last couple of years, I started experiencing hot flashes accompanied by moderate-severe anxiety and depression. Just as an aside, I studied psychology for several years and have earned, not only my bachelors in psych, but also several certifications and honors surrounding my degree ( I start my masters in a couple of months!).
Avatar f tn I have long curly hair. I n 62 and I have had breakouts like on one side of my face for about 2 years on the side that my hair hangs on. I could not get this acne to complete go away. It would almost be give and back again. I could actually see a line that went from one spot to another. It's hair! My hair. Ever chance I could even see a hair close to the surface I pulled, and it was under the skin and the breakout would but break until that hair was gone.
Avatar n tn I have suffered a similar adult acne story as Sean who posted 7th Sept 1999. I am 25 years old Female. I had typical acne from an early age (11 years old) and received Roacutane (same as Accutane I think) when I was 15 years old. It worked a treat but 9months after I had finished treatment the acne returned. Over the years I have been on 3 treatments of Roacutane for about 18months each with the same result about 9 months later.
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend an acne treatment for those cystic acne bumps that take forever to go away? I'm 46 and did Accutane in my 20s with pretty good results until the last several years. I've had the most success with Pro Active, but my skin got really itchy when I wore mineral powder makeup and I kept ruining towels, pillowcases and shirts. I've also tried Acne Free, Murad and Dermatologic plus prescription cream with no luck.
Avatar m tn Hello, For premature acne, if the acne is protected from the sunlight and sometimes an antioxidant treatment if applied in the initial stage to cure the lesions of acne then it can be cured at the beginning. Then medical treatment is the same as adult acne i.e initially benzoyl peroxide and topical antibiotics are used. But they are to be used under medical supervision and not one one’s own.
Avatar n tn Oh, I'm sorry to hear about this. Skin problems are so emotional in nature too because of how we all are about our appearance. But you are not alone. When the health crisis blows over, seeing a dermatologist may be of benefit to you. They do have things they can prescribe. Retin-A is one of them. Some women also have success going on birth control pills when they have adult acne. Make sure your make up isn't contributing to the issue as well.
11083698 tn?1415151204 Hello, I have had a strong craving for salt for many years now. Close to seven years. I eat salt by itself everyday I feel like I need it. If I get to feeling really tired or weak I eat salt and I perk up. I also have bad adult acne, and I never really had acne as a teenager. I'm not sure if these two things are anywhere near related to each other, but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
Avatar f tn It seems to spread quicker if the heads pop, but spreads regardless. I have had this before. I use to get it regularly and believed I had adult acne. But it has been a very long time since I have had it but seems to have some sort of relation to the hiking trip I took. I have been told its an allergic reaction to sugar? Which I do eat more sugar when hiking. But I am thinking this might be an allergic reaction to something else, maybe the sunscreen, the sun, heat?
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.
Avatar n tn Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?
Avatar f tn I get a diagnosis of, eczema, adult acne, peridontal syndrome, etc. I really need to know what is wrong with me. I have been to two different skin doctors and nobody knows what is going on with my skin. Personally, I feel that it is something to do with my immune system and I can't anyone to listen to me. Help!!!
Avatar m tn Through your description, it sounds like you have adult cystic acne, many times this is caused by a hormonal imbalance. It doesn't surprise me that steriods helped clear up some of the acne, but returned when the prescription ran out. Also, your body will build up a tolerance to steriods if you use them too much. Rather than treating the symptoms, treat the cause. Have you had blood work done recently to make sure all your levels are okay?
Avatar n tn I am a 23 year old male. On the 20th of July I had urinary burning after having sex with a woman on the 19th. I went to plant parenthood to get tested on 21st and about a week later tests came out negative for clamedia and ghoneria. Symptoms persisted and I noticed 4 bumps on he end of my shaft in almost a straight line, each bump gave the look of an in grown hair due to each one having a hair coming out of it.
Avatar f tn My 3rd trimester I have had acne bad on the back of my neck. What the heck!! Anyone else?
Avatar n tn Now I have persistant and large acne on my cheeks and jawline, including cystic acne. The acne is ever present and not just once a month. My current dermo (not the one who proscribed Accutane) tells me that it's hormonal (I believe this) and that I will just have to deal with it for the rest of my life (I don't want to accept this). She does Cortosone injections on occasion for the cysts because I cannot, for the life of me, leave my face alone.
Avatar f tn I have a red patch of skin that appears on my neck from time to time. It gets very hot and bright red and stays there for 1-3 hours and then returns to its natural pale color. This usually happens a few times a week. It doesn't seem to be affected by temperature and I haven't been able to correlate it to anything else. The skin itself itchy and doesn't feel dry ... or anything besides really, really warm. Have you heard of anything like this before? Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response, I appreciate it.
Avatar f tn I am a 25 year old female who suffers from adult acne. About a year ago, I developed a RASH on my chest that is similar looking to acne in that it has red spots with tiny, very superficial white heads. Since this was the first rash breakout I mistook it for acne and used an acne spot treatment (benzyl peroxide 2.5%) The next morning my skin was itchy and extremely irritated, and I realized it was a rash and not pimples and the benzyl peroxide irritated it a lot.
Avatar f tn Hi Barb135... The reason I'm even posting here is Because you said a few things to test for to check for different kinds of thyroid problems that I begged my PCP to check for & age kept running the same standard thyroid panel & she kept saying I was "NORMAL"... Even though I was high on the 1 (F3 or F4) & low on the other (F3 or F4)... Yet even when I brought that to her (my Drs) attention She said safe want writing me anymore tests because my tests came back fine...
Avatar n tn Hello ladies, I am 31 years old and 18 weeks into my first pregnancy. I have had very mild adult acne for the past 5 years or so but with this pregnancy it has gone from mild to I don't even want to show my face severe. Can anyone offer any remedies? I follow a daily skin regimen and have never had this issue like this before, all the moms at work say the same thing: it's just hormones.
