A while back i was told i had adhd. i was going over in my head of all the symptoms i have. i was wonerding about these posssible symptoms ,are these adhd or not? 1. when i read i seem to read but it just go through my head and usally i got to reread a few times to remeber it. adhd or not? 2.when i go out and play pool i usally just take my shot right away not aiming for a long time if i try to aim my shoots get worse i try to see the shot but cant.adhd or not?
Your son may well display ADHD, but it is important to arrange a thorough evaluation and not rush too quickly to the diagnosis. The on-line surveys can be useful tools to see if a person might display symptoms typical of ADHD, but a thorough assessment will consider a child's medical history, family history, current functioning at home and in school, possible alternative explanations for the symptoms identified on the surveys, etc.
There has been no evidence to support active babies have adhd. Activity can be influenced by diet, exercise, and position. It's really not a reason to think there is anything wrong.
I hate to tell you this, but it sure sounds like pregnancy to me.
By the way, I have seen several studies that show that sleep apnea can produce ADHD like symptoms. In fact, there have been several posters on here that have had sleep apnea, been treated and their daytime behaviors definitely changed. In short, adhd symptoms. There was a reason why you started Vyvanse, and as you are now stopping it...those reasons are coming back.
If you have not done so....you need to read up on Ankylosis Sponilytis. It is a condition that will slowly get worse. And I am not sure that a muscle relaxer is recommended treatment. Depression and Anxiety are very common co-disorders of ADHD. And sometimes the bipolar diagnosis is not true due to the other symptoms. So its always worth taking a look at the difference between the two. Here are a couple of links for that.

In my opinion, the doctors have been not dealing with the cause of her ODD. Nothing you have stated is really recommended to treat adhd.

So those are the quick thoughts. I would definitely look at the SIDS site because you do treat that differently from ADHD. and he could have both.
What is distressing to me is that he could have ADHD and the only help the doctors gave you is to prescribe meds?
Things such as add/adhd do tend to run in families but I would not worry about this. Babies are a joy and as the mother of a child with a developmental delay that looks like adhd------- I wouldn't change one thing about my child. He is wonderful as he is. He may be more challenging but I rise to the occassion as he is my beloved baby. You will too. And there is a very good chance your child will not have add/adhd. I'd not look for it but take each day as it comes.
I had a friend who recently tried an elimination diet and slowly added foods back that she eats regularly, she found out that she was allergic to wheat, rhy, some flour products, sweeteners, etc. that were causing the ADHD symptoms... She has since started eating whole foods and good fats and her symptoms have vastly improved... It could be something as little as the dyes in foods, or sweeteners, etc...
Hello, I have just been diagnosed with Adult ADHD and I was wondering about some symptons that go along with this disorder. My daughters symptoms went away quickly my son need a pretty high dose because his symptoms were more severe. The tricky part in this is the ADHD because the ADHD meds can make OCD symtoms worse! They are stimulants. Try only the seratonin med first. Sometimes ADHD can be solved with only this. You need a good Neuropsychologist here for the Tourettes/ADHD. They are the brain chemical experts. Not a Neurologist. Insist on an MRI w/ your Neurologist though!
