I helped support her til she got back on her feet. I was having to work 2 jobs -- mornings/afternoons at a jewelry store in sales and at night I worked a paper route (2am to 5-6am). So I got little sleep. After 2 years of struggling like that, things got better & am in a well-paid career doing historical research where I make my own hours and no longer have to help support my mother.
He was evaluated last year and was diagnosed as ADHD. During the session he was a model child and according to the Psychologist displayed none of the traits they look for (made eye contact during Q/A, was able to sit still and answer all questions, etc). The diagnosis was only determined based on the evaluations completed by us and his teacher. She had concerns about him not paying attention in class and having difficulty moving from one task to the other.
My wife and I have been married for just over a year. She takes Ritalin for ADHD; I take Dex amphetamine for the same. She runs out of pills, sometimes by 5 days .She would then help herself to mine. She had a traumatic experience of abuse and betrayal as a teenager which I feel has not been fully resolved. She is always demanding, is unable to resolve disputes, or simply let go, she must win. Attempt to compromise are pointless, demands became more frequent: I started to say no.
We are scared this is becoming serious and he is becoming a juvenile delinquent he has stole from me money, jewelry, and not sure what else he might of taken at this time we are finding other things by looking around his room now. ADHD can make people mature later than others. With this in mind, he is 22, but with ADHD, maybe he has the maturity of a 15 year old. I would imagine that's kind of tough-- being expected to act like an adult when you have the maturity of a teenager. However, maturity level aside, he is 22 years old. He is legally able to make his own decisions-- and unless you think that he is a real physical danger to himself or anyone else, you can't do much.
In the past three weeks he's stolen something from a store, taken money twice from my husband and myself, taken items out of our neighbors trashcan and stolen and buried half the jewelry in my jewelry box. He also got caught with another boy trying to steal toys out of a neighbors garage last week. He seems very confidant at home but at school his teacher says he seems to lack self esteem. He does tend to go in cycles with his behavior as well.
All of my jewelry was in there and money. It showed up 2 months later on the front door of the police dept. I had cried and cried to her that my pictures were in there af my daughter being born. She must have felt bad. A crook wouldn't have done that. My purse would have been trashed with nothing in it, to say the least. I have watched before, go through my purse throughthe tinted windows of Chuckie Cheese. I tell you this to let you know that she has ALWAYS had a problem.

So, if it's true that we reap what we sow ( I know, spelling is totally off there, lol, but I think that saying is spelled differently than the usual words) then I've gotten it back. I take Ritalin for ADHD, and it has worked wonders for me! Well...I got a refill this weekend, and I get 90 a month, enough for 3 a day, but I never take that much. I went to take one this morning, and the bottle looked half empty. I counted my pills, and I have 43 left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to c/t off of my Methadone, Adderall I took with the Dones for a bigger Buzz because I do not have ADHD and it will wire you up..Then those Klons..Oh, how bad it is to c/t a Benzo and they did not even know or realized I was on this one too! My Physical detox went on for at least 6 months. I was up at a place in the Mountains right next door to where my Hub & I grew up..
New York Daily News At least two thieves have been reported as hypnotizing women in Elmshorn and robbing them of their jewelry and other items — then temporarily leaving them without memory of the thefts. Cops in Elmshorn, Germany, are on the lookout for robbers who allegedly hypnotize their victims before taking their valuables. The two women, believed to be Russian, allegedly targeted a 66-year-old in front of a store in Elmshorn, Schleswig-Holstein, last Monday.
, that would be addressed, but quickly dismissed. It has now escalated to the point where she has stolen my jewelry, makeup and lies about it when asked, and then miraculously the "stolen items" show up somewhere a couple hours later. I personally have an issue with "invasion of privacy" as I see it. At 9, I believe they know the difference between right and wrong, and this should not be tolerated.
We have been going through therapy since she was 5, and have had her diagnosed with CD, ODD, ADD, ADHD, Anger issues, Abandonment you name it. But it doesn't stop. We don't know what to do anymore but stay calm and non confrontational with her so we can have a some what quiet life.
