I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.

I'm thinking about checking into rehab due to a lortab addiction however, i have a ton of medical problems and will have to use narcotic meds the rest of my life. I have atleast 2 surgeries a year on my ear, and you just can't possibly go without any relief after getting your ear hacked off and sewn back on. If i go to rehab, will I be able to fill narcotic pain relievers in the future, or does that go on your record and are you prettymuch screwed?

After you detox and you no longer have insurance benefits for any rehab, what do you do? My grandson just checked into a detox facility but cannot return to his home. He is detoxing from oxy, valium, alcohol and was on a binge after 10 weeks clean. I dont know what to do to help him without enabling him..any suggestions? He is 18 last month so we dont get any info from detox facility.

I have recently learned that my spouse is shooting up his prescription pain pills. He has admitted that he has a problem and wants to enter into rehab to get help with his addiction but he is scare and worried that because he is a nurse that he will be reported to the state and lose his nurses license. Can anyone please help me and let me know if this is in fact something that can happen to someone who is trying to get help?

I am off the Opana ER now, and off the Suboxone, (which I had to detox AGAIN FROM). I have been a week after the last detox in a therapy rehab program in Florida. I live with my daughter of 8-years-old and my husband in GA. Prior to being away for this last 11 day detox and week of rehab. concealing process, i was away in March for 10 days for the Opana detox and two weeks of this counseing rehab program. I have been away for most of March and April facing my issues.

My b/f was Baker Acted this evening for his drug addiction(in Florida.) His mother filed the paper work and all that jazz. What I would like to know is if they give you a drug test upon being admitted? He took a bunch of pills when he found out the police were going to make him go. Detox gets you off the drugs safely, and a little of what rehab does. Rehab deals with learning about your addiction and how to live life without drugs. Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. I want to go to rehab but have no money or insurance. I detoxed off of methadone in April and wasn't able to afford rehab....... The 14 days in a Florida detox were the only two weeks of being "sober" I have experienced....... I am currently in full relapse mode, and desperately in need of rehab. How does one get into a good facility without any means of doing so? Are there any ways to get help?

She said she felt that if we could come off heroin she could come off pills but we told her an addiction is an addiction and that it didnt matter what it was it was still hard. If we had known she hadnt been on we would have told her she wasnt letting anybody down. We told her to pick herself up, dust herself down and start again and that she could pm any of us any time and we were all here to support her on mh.

s no state funded programs in Florida either. My family is aware of my addiction, yes, but they have not known since the beginning, I would say about 6 months though. I don't blame them for not helping, because I lie to them and manipulate like any and every addict does.

I needed separation from the drugs and lifestyle I was living and rehab offered just that. Got a lot of education on addiction while I was in there, and it gave me an amazing foundation to build upon with AA/NA. I'd recommend it to any addict who has the means to go.

Im scared to know that I will be getting more tomarrow, because I know I will. I cannot afford rehab agian and im ashamed to ask my dad to take me to the doctor. I dont know what to do I just need some type of encouragement, support and love.

This is the first time I have actually admitted my addiction, it is very hard for me to do so. This entire thing started when we decided to go to a pain clinic in Florida to get oxi's to make some money. Trust me we did make money and alot of it, but we also got worse on the stuff. I knew it would happen and often I blame him for my drug use. The fact of the matter is he didn't hold me down and force it up my nose.

I gave birth in December and this past April he came to me and told me he was going into a rehab.. He ended up going away to Florida.. And kept telling me that he was staying there and he wanted the baby and I to move out there when he was done with treatment. A month went by and he ended up coming back home (he didn't even tell me he was planning on coming back). He is continuing his treatment but we kept fighting because of all the things he says he's going to do and never happen.

I'm not proud to say that I'm addicted to pain pills. And I want to quit. I can't afford rehab. I'm going to start today. After posting last night I was able to have enough courage to call a Hotline where I spk with a very nice young lady who helped me locate some Rehab centers in our area of Florida. I printed a list of these with numbers for my family member to give to them today. I plan on being there to help in anyway for support and help though what is going to be a very rough time for them. So it all started in 2006 with a back and neck injury. The doctor prescribed me 120 Norco 10/325's. That lasted about two years. I didn't ask him to bump me up but he did so, I was taking 90 oxycodone 40's for a few months. I moved to Florida at the end of 2007 and found a doctor, brought my records, etc. Within a year he had me on 120 OC 80's and 240 oxycodone 30 msg. Life was good, right?

my stepson has been an addict for several years, we had no idea, he doesn't live with us and he's been on his own or living with friends, or staying with is mom in FLA for the last few years. Are you addicted or just dependent? It will work well for addiction, but the rehab would be a waste of money for a dependency. For instance, my Mom had a Klonopin dependency. She tried to go to the same rehab I went to, but was turned away and told to see an addictionologist. He weened her down and she's never had a problem. I however was an addict, and the detox/rehab worked well for me. The induction process at the rehab should tell you whether detox or detox/rehab is warranted.

I would say that if you are SERIOUS about wanting to stop and financially IP rehab is an option for you, I would jump on that! Rehab will give you the support and aftercare you need to get through this. Have you looked into a place you would go? Have you made any calls yet? I think youve made the biggest step and thats wanting to stop so congrats on that!
