I know that adderall is not normally used to treat alcoholism. However, through many years of trying to turn my life around and failing, I ended up in the office of a wonderful psychiatrist. After hearing my story, she told me that I have been living with severe adhd (now 35). She started me on adderall and it has changed my life for the better. I'm not crazy about basically being on speed all the time, but the alternative was much worse.

I think 5 is still pretty late since the half life can last a while. You may also want to reduce the dose of your last pill.

It has a very long half life, though I can't give you specifics. The dose and how long you were on it does factor in. Your doctor should be able to help you with your questions on this.

so if i dont take the adderall and xanax at the same time of day the adderall will work better?

Thanks for the help! Yea I took it to suppress my appetite and help me run more. I've heard the half-life of adderall is fairly short also, so that's why I quit taking it about a week before I had to go to MEPS. I've since quit taking it completely.

OMG I so know what you're going through. There is nothing worse in this world than getting off of opiates. I quit Norco cold turkey after being on over 30-40 10/325 pills every day for three years and I also take adderall for ADD...they majorly helped me with withdrawals, but let me tell you one thing that you HAVE TO KEEP IN MIND--no matter what, at some point you will have to get used to not having anything in your system.

But I am so scared because I have grown up with Adderall (read my journal if you want to or get a chance) and I feel so sluggish and scared I will never be motivated to do anything again in my life. Adderall never made me high but gave me the well being feeling and it helped me with my crontic fatigue syndrome. Please pass me anything you can. Even feel free to email me personally. I need to know what I can expect or something close to it and what I can do to move on.

I don't know about the aderall but as far as the suboxone is concerned, i just quit subs jan 1st and i tapered myself. And not correctly, which made the w/d worse than it needed to be. Do some research on subs b/c there alot of info about them I didn't know i.e., half life, what sub doses are compared to other drugs! If i'd have known then what i know now, i would have never switched from hydros to subs! Twas a very dumb move on my part.

I have no idea when the impotence might go away. But if you look at the list below, you may begin to understand WHY he has sexual difficulties. I know he no longer takes Paxil, which eliminates ONE potential source of the problem, but I don't know the half-life of Paxil and it could still be in his system, albiet a small quantity.That still leaves 3 of the 4 meds that have possible sexual side effects.

For more than 2 and half years i have been having this sleeping disorder where i always want to sleep regardless of how much sleep i get.this is the main thing that dosturbs me.and secondsly i find it very hard to concentrate to do even the simplest things daily.brain fog is there and also im sensitive to strong lighting.my eyes could not bear it up.and also at times i have this unclear vision.its like blurry but that is at times only.and i forget things pretty easily now.

I honestly related this to the virus as my son also experienced problems, and doesnt do caffeine or adderall. I stopped the adderall completely really with no problem that I was aware of, however I did end up with every possible symptom of fibro, and then some. Again I attributed this to the nasty virus. However at the end of July, while unusually fatigued and in a great amount of pain, I had to get ready for a family vacation.

My other half I have been with for 14 years take adderall and he will search porn sites and tries tell me that he has found me in them and that I have a whole bunch of social media things that I don’t have. Then will tell me I have slept with everyone he knows and makes up everything and I work and then he will tell me I’m not really at work and I know where the cameras are so I don’t get seen on camera banging someone.

s not time-release -- in other words, one with a shorter half-life? Some people with ADHD are able to use stimulant medication only for the situations in which their symptoms are a problem, like school or work. Others need it every day. What did happen when you reduced the dose?

I KNOW depression, as I have had it for the past year (of a year and a half on adderall.) I know mood swings, but this was just kind of out of nowhere. Is this normal to experience? If so, how long does it last? Any advice is sought and welcomed! Oh, also, I was taking 50mg of zoloft and I upped it to 100mg three days before detox, knowing that depression was possibly going to be a factor.

not personal experience with adderall....but it is normal to feel fatigue with adderall wd...it is not life threatening and for the most part it is a mental wd vs narcotics being both/mental and physical...the fatigue is common among narc wds as both drugs supply extra endorphins to the brain//many feel fatigue after narcotic cessation to be a physical symptom like the runs...but it is a result of taking endorphins away and waiting on the brain to "catch up" on endorphin production....

decided to quit taking it on a monday felt fine all week untill sun when i went into serious withdrawl! so as far as half life im not sure? but you can bet i was back on it mon! so i guess it was in my system for 6 days after i stopped. p.s.

?? Does anyone know the Half life of SUBOXONE - Beprenorphine.? I HEARD it was 70 hours, but that's what I heard....unsure if that is even accurate?

whats the half life for syntriod. about how much time does it take to build up in you and also leave your system?

This only happened once since it was a Friday and I do not do Adderall over the weekend. Everything went back to normal, until Monday I finished the Adderall I had and it happened again, I know the obvious answer is stop taking the Adderall, but can Adderall even have this side effect and cause this to happen? I do not have health insurance and going to a Doctor is more of a life or death situation so any information will be helpful!

i dont crave the adderall. i have rwad some ppl do. if i were you i would cut my dose in half for a week then just quit. as far as the sub goes you need to taper off it till you get down to a crumb every 3 days...good luck..

Ive taken Adderall and ok results...looking for some feedback on any other options... and people results...

s action really quickly (apart the fact that it is most of the time snorted which makes it way more bioavaible) and it haves a short half-life. Ritalin works pretty much in the same way like you will feel the effect 30 to 1 hour after taking the drug. I am very happy that you have found, what seems to me, be a good doctor.
