adderall

Business woman2 At Walgreens, we currently carry the Barr manufacturer brand of generic Adderall. All the forms of generic Adderall and all strengths from Barr manufacturer do not contain neither Gluten nor Lactose. Wishing you the best! Be well.
Avatar f tn They are allowed to have different fillers etc. Up to 20 % diierence from main ingredients. I take generic adderall IR. My pharmacy usually gives me generic by corepharma. Just once had (or gave it to me cause of my complaints) generic by another manufacturer where I didnt have all the side affects and worked much better. I found out its more exspensive so pharmacy doesnt have it often. Anybody can help with what are my rights to get the generic that works?
Avatar f tn I've been on brand name Adderall XR 15mg pills for a few months now, and I've never had any problems with side effects other than suppressed appetite. Thanks to our new insurance only covering the generic, I had to switch to a drug "identical" to the brand. When I initially told my mom I was worried about the switch, she told me they're the exact same thing. She's a pharmacist, so I took her word for it. Fast forward to today, when I started the generic.
Avatar m tn I went to the pharmacy where I usually get Adderall (generic 15 mg tab) last week. They said they’d order it for me. They called me a few days later saying that the distributor couldn’t supply it in a timely manner. So, I thought I’d try some other pharmacies and everyone is out. They all say they’ve been getting tons of calls for it for the last few days. None of them know when they will get more, and they’ve told me that their suppliers/distributors don’t know either.
Avatar f tn s just generic though and you can get brand name. Maybe it is a ploy to get more people to use name brand. Ha, kidding. That is way too conspiracy theory. But having an economical choice in medication is important. So, hopefully this gets resolved.
Avatar m tn Hey, I was prescribed generic 10mg Adderall 1x per day by my psych, but when I tried it I felt slightly dizzy with ear stuffiness (the type when you fly on airplanes) accompanied by sharp, inner ear pain (in both ears). This lasted about 1.5 months. Is there anyway to reduce this while taking adderall, and what could it be caused by?
1100837 tn?1267668675 Are you taking the sustained relaease or the regular dose? Are you taking the brand name or the generic? What are your experiences? I'd like to compare. Thanks.
5757880 tn?1395578022 Generic companies have to make a product that fits into a specific area of the brand name medication. Normally, the difference between generic and brand name and generic compared to another generic is nominal and goes completely unnoticed. Someone super sensitive may feel a different though. My son is now on medication for depression (been such a difficult year that I'd love to chat with you about) and I had this concern.
Avatar f tn There is a generic brand of adderall which is what i take and i am on medical assistence which pays for it.
Avatar m tn It's basically the same as a Red Bull and all energy drinks. NOT a relevant solution or replacement for Adderall. Generic IR Adderall isn't expensive at all and is called mixed amphetamine salts or amphetamine, dextroamphetamine mixed salts. Something like less than a dollar per pill.
Avatar m tn It was confirmed I have ADHD and I was put on a weaker generic brand of Adderall since it was all I could afford and had no insurance. It seemed to work great, but I noticed my hands would get ice cold after I took them and my heart rate would increase.
1134609 tn?1269272200 ----I stabilized completely last summer and I was on the brand name version of the medication. When I switched over to the generic, I started having problems and had to increased the dose from 900mgs to 1600mgs over the space of a few months. Any changes in the dosages over this time dropped me into a deep depression and I HAD to drop the dosage many times because it was agitating me. I just assumed it was because I was adjusting to the medication.
Avatar m tn Agreed, that is a good question and really can't talk to that point. But adderall does clear the system fairly quickly - which is why you have to retake it daily. That kind of makes me doubt the synergistic effect, but really don't know. This site lists 485 drugs and 3569 generic meds that have interactions with Adderall. I didn't see finasteride listed, but I didn't check out the generic versions. The site is - http://www.drugs.
9003081 tn?1401126498 There are no good ADD alternative meds. Websites that claim to sell such products are mostly scams or selling supplements with little or no therapeutic value. Unfortunately, you live in Florida. Florida refused to take the Obama Care money that other states are using to expand Medicaid. So, your out of luck with that (unless you have kids/disabled etc.). Medicaid covers the cost of ADD meds up to age 25. You can find a doctor and pay out of pocket. That's what I had to do.

Avatar m tn I may be wrong but I think you are correct that the name brand Adderall made by Shire will be discontinued and replaced by Vyvanse. That being said, you will continue to be able to get the generic brands. It was explained to me that the whole reason Vyvanse was released was because Adderall was coming off patent and Shire needed a "latest and greatest" to compete with the generic manufacturers. I'm sure I'll be corrected if this is wrong but that's the story I was told.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know a pharmacy around Cincinnati that has 20mg generic adderall from the pharmaceutical teva or Barr..(I know teva owns Barr) orange or peach. I live in Batavia and have only been able to find generic adderall from corepharma pink ones and I have a bad reaction to them. I've read on the teva website if the pharmacy doesn't carry the generic you like you can have them order it for you at no price.
Avatar f tn You usually figure out pretty quickly if the generic brand you have gives you adverse side effects. If you didn't have bad nausea then you should be good to go. I get the dry heaves for hours if I take the TEVA brand, even when I eat before taking it. Also, if for some reason Rite Aid decides to start ordering a brand you don't like, all you have to do is let your doc know which generic is best for you and he will write that brand prescription.
1119036 tn?1259534815 i am currently taking 1mg xanax 3 times a day i go to walgreens and they have the generic brand purepac and i have heard that greenstone brand is so much better i was just wondering if anyone had any feed back .......
Avatar m tn I have been taking 20 mg amphetamine, generic adderall, periodically for the last few months. When I take it, I get very noticeable shrinkage. I am a 30 year old man, but only saw add adhd under the childhood categories. Is this a permanent/long term side effect, or does it change once the medicine is out of your system, my mind might be playing tricks on me at this point, and it's difficult for me to tell.
Avatar n tn A friend of mine is prescribed to Adderall 20mg XR, as am I. After a few weeks she felt as if the drug was not working. She opened one of her capsules and found that it looked as if it was sugar inside, as well as tasted like sugar. She did so for 5 capsules and they all contained the same sugar-like substance. It looked completely different from the medicine which a few of her other adderall 20 mg XR capsules in her prescription consisted of.
Avatar f tn Hello, I have been taking the generic adderal for almost a yr.I started out taking 40mg. then i guess built up a tolerance to it and started 60mg and i again built up a tolerance to it, my doc says 60 mg is the maximum, so my question is is there another one that is effective that doesn't start out so low i guess or stronger. i hope that makes since to anyone.
874521 tn?1424116797 Your pharmacist will tell you which generic brand your taking. As far as I know only malikroft is allowed to make the generic form of oxycontin. When you get a generic your RX bottle will list the name brand and the generic name under it.
Avatar n tn I have insurance and the copay on my generic script is usually about $2-4 for the whole month and the brand name was over $200 WITH insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance plan that covers these brand drugs to an affordable rate or any way to get a lower price on the brand name?
