Yes, Adderall can cause withdrawals when it's used recreationally, abused, and sometimes unintentionally. Something that you really need to be aware of is that toxic symptoms and signs of overdose can happen even with low dosage milligrams. Popping Adderall every couple of hours will only exacerbate side effects because they are usually intended as extended release capsules/caplets, to be used only once daily. t lie, being a college student, I will take an adderall to help study for a big test but it is only on rare occasions so whenever I mention her maybe trying to get off the drug because of its addictive potential and its health effects (especially on the heart) she calls me a hypocrite because I will take one for an exam, but like I said it helps tremendously for studying but I guess she is right.

After taking it for over two years and constantly being over caffinated my heart has become very sensitive to everything. I am concerned about the behavior of a friend of mine who is taking 340 mg adderall a day as prescribed by a psychiatrist for adult ADD. She has been on it for 5 - 6 years, starting on a much smaller dosage and indicating to the psychiatrist that it was not helping, and the psychiatrist kept upping the dosage. From the bit of research I have done, my understanding is that this may not be a reasonable dosage of adderall.
I have been taking adderall for 6 years now. I read your post and I have experienced exactly the same effects. The only thing that stopped me from slowing down my mind was to up the dosage. However each time you up the dosage it seems to take about a year or so until my mind slows down again while on the medication. I've asked two different doctors about the long term effects of adderall but they both claim there is no information or known studies of prolonged adderall use.
I became addicted to oxycodone 15mg in 2012 after my first back surgery, obviously I was on them while I was in the hospital for 7days after surgery then took them for about 4 days once I got home. I tried to stop and became sick and realized I was addicted. I go to a pain clinic for my chronic pain. Since then I had surgery on my elbow and just 2 weeks ago I had another back surgery. My oxycodone has never been upped in dosage so of course it doesn't help with the pain.
But a change in medication might be also helpful. Adderall XR is good for 8 to 10 hours. If it is not lasting that long, then you are underdosed. But, Vyvanse is good for 10 to 12+ hours. It basically is the same med as Adderall, but in a different format.
Yes, you definitely need to talk with your doc. With your doc you need to be more specific about when you need to focus. Let the doc know when your lack of concentration is hitting. Also experiment a bit.
I am considering using a Life coach since I have heard that they are really instrumental in treating this disease by making you accountable for the procrastination, concentration, and organization issues. I take adderall but the generic short acting med. This works good for me so that I can control the ups and downs that this med can cause. When I took the adderall XR, I felt lethargic and it just did not last long at all. After 6 hours, I just wanted to sleep.
I was on adderall for a for about 6 or 7 years and just in my last semester of college started abusing it to stay up studying for final exams and major projects. I then graduated and got married and wanted to get off of it for good which has been rediculously hard to do.

I stopped taking my perscription to adderall xr 30mg two weeks ago since my semester at college was over. I was taking this dosage for almost three months. m a sophomore in college and took the drug for studying starting my senior year, then very briefly for a few occasions after that. But in the last month, for some reason I got cravings for it. I didn't associate the cravings with my needs to cram study time like I had before. But because this last month was setting up for finals, I bought 5 from my friend, took them for some tests, bought another 10, took those for papers, then bought 2 more yesterday.

The first 2 months i was taking adderall everything was great, i was doing better in school and I actually started to enjoy studying and learning new material for a change. But for the last month or so, i've noticed a change in my behavior. I feel almost disconnected from reality if that makes since. It's kind of like this semester hasn't really set in yet, even though im over a month into the semester.
My other half I have been with for 14 years take adderall and he will search porn sites and tries tell me that he has found me in them and that I have a whole bunch of social media things that I don’t have.
