These are still detectable on drug screens and have a HL of 9-11 hours. Long story short, 2 people, 2 different ADHD medications. Vyvanse is completely out of system and undetectable in urine in 48-60 hours, Adderall completely out of system in 4-7 days.
Personal experience - I take anywhere from 120-200mg of Vyvanse daily. I had negative urinalysis after 48 hours of not taking medication.

t you be concerned about prescribing pain meds (that carry a high street value when sold) to someone who is says they take a drug that is prescribed to them regularly, (especially a drug that also carries a high street value, similar to pain meds) and their urine does not test positive for this drugs?
At this point in time, it is not available to employment screens as it is very specific and very expensive. With time this will change, but not at this time
you have a prescription correct? If it showed up, u would be ok? I do understand not wanting to broadcast u r on sub...unlike methadone, it is not an approved pain med in the US. It is only approved for addiction so saying u r on it is a dead give-away

I know personally that I have never done such a drug but I do take adderall xr for my ADHD diagnosis. It is prescribed to me and everything. Is this what could of caused the positive reading? If so will further examination tell officials what exactly it is so my name is not associated with meth no longer. Or should I be worried?
The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive. He is not acting out when he has the positive screens so I have to believe it is the combination or one of the meds but the school believes otherwise. Help!

Unfortunately, I don't think there is much you can do about this false negative test result. Casino's can refuse to admit anyone they choose from their establishment, and I'm certain that doctors can refuse to treat a patient if they simply choose not to, and if they have a test to "back them up". The same thing happened to me a few months ago and I was put on "probation". All it entailed was going bi-weekly for follow-ups, and urine screens, instead of monthly.
it takes a while as the drug has a long half life...urine drug screens for jobs test for benzos, pot, cocaine, narcotics (not sub tho) but i do think methadone shows up on most 10 panel drug screens..5 panel are cheaper and what my hospital uses and hydro doesnt even show up..only morphine and codeine being the 2 true narcotics and the rest like oxy and hydro are synthetic...plus u have a scrip for the sub..dont worry..
its not for an employment screening. i'm involved with children services and i have tests and they test for it in my system. i'm worried that they will try to take my children if i say i'm done taking subs and they still show up. these people are shadey. thanks for your input.
Normally the answer would be no but there are a lot of variables that come into drug screens. A blood test should obviously be accurate. Urine drug screens done in mass, such as through a PM Clinic has a higher incident of inaccurate results.

So really sounds like it depends on when the hair test is taken.
The values are readily available on the www. With regular use of oxycodone containing pain medicines,most urine drug screens should remain positive for oxycodone for 1-2 days and in some rare cases 3 days. A small percentage of ppl metabolize oxycodone more rapidly than normal, but this should not affect the ability of the screen to detect the drug in urine.
You physician can answer this question more accurately.
As Phil said, and is common knowledge in our community, those instant UDS (Urine Drug Screens) are very often not reliable. We assume the lab your PMP is utilizing does the much more accurate immunoassay screening.
Has your PMP said you will be dismissed? Can he/she provide a reason for the "failure"? I had a PMP that changed labs because of so many failures in his drug screens. He said, "I know my patients - they were compliant.
Stim meds will show up in both urine and hair testing. Hair testing can go back 90 days. Urine tests will show use up to 5 days.
Having said that Title One of the American Disabilities Act should protect you. If you have a valid prescription and diagnosis and tell them before the test - I think you would be ok. But, it wouldn't hurt to check. I certainly would not want to work for any medical institution that did not recognize proper treatment for AD/HD.

The pain doctor said he could no longer prescribe them for me because the drug screening is 100% fool proof. He practically accused me of being a liar and told me he thought I was selling the drugs. I have been taking them every night at 10pm and when the pain is bad an extr one (prescribed) either at night or during the day. I am so sorry to hear about the results of your drug screen. A oral swab or saliva drug screen is the least accurate of all the drug screens. It's used because it's the least costly.
So many things can change or interfere with the outcome of these oral swabbing. ....Even eating certain foods can alter the production of saliva. Smoking is also believed to mask the metabolites needed for drug determination.
Most tox screens (like pre-employment drug screens) do NOT test for bupe, a special test that includes it must be done (either in the form of a dipstick test or using a special test cup that includes bupe).
It's impossible to know whether a tox screen you're having done is going to include that, as more places are testing for it.
Honesty is always the best policy, if you're taking a drug test for whatever reason be honest about what they could find.
