a couple of months ago she admitted to me she had a problem, she told me she was taking 10 to 12 10mg hydrocodone pills a day, along with adderall and somas.....she said she was addicted and still enjoyed the high, even though she knew she had a problem.....supposedly i am the only one she has admitting to having a problem. my question now is when i told her she has to get help, she now tells me that she has be weening off the hydrocodone...
I am currently take BOTH Soma and Vicodin. (And have been for some time) It is very true about SOMA. It is sedating; so may I suggest that you take SOMA with your Vicodin at a time, when you are able to lay down and rest. This combination of drugs is especially helpful to me at night. I suffer from continual muscle spasms due to Multiple Sclerosis. SOMA has been a HUGE help, in my life of chronic pain. SOMA can leave you with a "hangover" feeling.
Medication: Adderall and Lexipro Pain Medication: Vicodin, Soma Thanks!
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
If a medication has any type of euphoria I've abused it (Norco, Percocet, MS Contin, Soma, Neurontin, Adderall, Klonopin, etc). Aside from antibiotics, I don't think I've ever taken a medication as it was intended. I have doctor shopped and a few months ago I even started buying pain meds. I know I need to get this under control, but I just don't know how. I've considered telling my doctors that I'm an addict, but I'm not sure if I should.
I always think if I can sleep through the bad times I can make it but the only sleep I can get is if I take xanax or somas. Was out of xanax and broke down and took somas. I had not been taking them. So now I have let myself down. I swear, I hate this stuff!! I hate it so much. The last time I had bad reactions to methadone I went a good while without pain meds or xanax but this time, I have been in such pain I took the pain meds the doc. gave me for my shoulder.
- I have been prescribed and abused Percocet, Norco, Klonopin, Soma, Neurontin, Adderall and Lunesta. I always take more than the prescribed and always run out early. I "lose medication" and get doctors to authorize early refill for controlled meds or I pay out of pocket for a refill. -I would get 120 Norco (or sometimes other pain meds) at a time and burn through them in 7-10 days (although lately it's faster). I would experience mild withdrawal, but it was manageable.
What health/withdrall issues might I see if they are hooked on Lortab 7.5 (6-8 tabs daily), adderall 20mg (6 daily), Neurontin, Soma, Effexor, Xanax, and she smokes just to name a few. Her last Physician stopped filling her Lortab and she is right now going cold-turkey without them. She has been on them for over 15 years straight. I have always been concerned for her health but just since January she is starting to figure out she "might have a problem.
You have a disease called addiction and you need to do whatever you have to in order to get out of active addiction and into recovery. I would start with some grief and addiction support. There are counselors who specialize in this but if money is an issue there are also free services. NA/AA are free. SMART recovery is free.
My sister is on the fentanyl pain patch. She also takes Soma, xanax and adderall. This is for back pain and ADD. I think she is over doing this. I think she gets the adderall to wake herself up from the other drugs and help with her school. She is 56. These are all prescribed. She was visiting me and passed out at my computer in the middle of eating. She was drooling food and it was hard to wake her. I am scared for her. I think she takes Vicodin also.
I went tapered off (starting about 2 months ago) meds such as Fiorinal w/ codeine (8 or more a day), Oxycodone (6 or more a day), Valium, Ambien, Sonata, Prozac, Zyrtec, Wellbutrin, and many more. I am also going off of Carbatrol and Adderall. The withdrawals have been horrific. The biggest remaining problem is severe (curl up in a ball) leg pain. Does anyone know how long this will last? And what can I do to help it?
20MG Adderall (once daily), 50MG Pristiq (for anxiety, once daily), 10MG Percocet (3X daily), 50MG Ultram (1-2 pills at a time, 3X daily, Soma (350MG 3X daily), and Diclofenac (75MG twice daily). In addition, the last two Saturdays I have awoken with a HORRIBLE headache. I attribute that, however, to caffeine withdrawal (I drink coffee during the week). And while I'm listing my illnesses, I should also mention that I have had approximately 25 kidney stones in the last three years alone.
I take 15 pills a day. I also take 20 mg (ER) of Adderall twice a day , 3mg of Ativan (benzo) and 2 soma (musel relax) . Lets not even start with the Doctor that seems to think all this is fine. I have come to relize in the past 2 months that THIS IS A PROBLEM. My husband is will to pay for the rapid detox Machine. I would like to know if anyone has done this. The doctor that prescribes to me actually screamed at me in his office last week when i told him my husband were looking into this.
withdrawals from roxy 30s day 4 will a flexiril help me at all relax and possibly sleep ?>????
See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin is a great help for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. Clonidine regulates blood pressure, creepy-crawly feeling and will make withdrawals easier. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter for mild sedation, sleep and muscle relaxation.
My dr at the Methadone clinic gave me a script for Provigil 200 mg ( Generic name~Modafinil ), it comes in 100 and 200 mg. I looked it up on google and it is for narcolepsy, sleep apnea and plain ole sleep disorders like we have. Went to pharmacy and they said it really works for not feeling so tired and it is used by the military for pilots and suppose to help with short term memory ------ now where was i? It's high dollar, for 7 pills it was going to cost over $ 80.00 .

I remember coming off soma and lorcet/norco a couple years back-i had xanax which i had kept for some time because i wouldnt take them to get high, just when i couldnt sleep. day 2 of no opiate was miserable for me/i think i ended up taking about 6 somas within a 10 hr period and 2 bar xanax and still i was wide awake for 3 days. it was like the old meth days for me. your body is going thru such a change those first few days, just have to remember you may not sleep at all for a few days.

My experience w/anti-depressants (AD)......on one kind or another for 10 yrs! A long.....time. I am 117 days clean (off hydros & soma) and have been off antidepressants for that long as well. I just decided I hadn't really given my seratonin levels a chance to level out.....or see what they are.....or would be like without a reuptake med for an extremely long time. I'd like to find out. I have days when my atrophied muscles, slow physical progress & stamina really depress me.
They have me on Zonisamide, Pravachol, Lisinopril, Ambien prn, Naproxen, and Soma for muscle spasms. Oh also Adderall XR 10 for idiopathic hypersomnolence. Just reading a bit oabout parkinsons and became concerned. I am 39 years of age, migraines being my main medical history though the musculoskeletal pain has become overwhelming at times. I'm still functioning, working 40 hrs. a week but extreme exhaustion by mid-day and at days end are very wearing.

These are often prescribed for runners, sports injuries to joints, and those suffering from arthritis. Syva labs has recently reworked its Cannabinoid test and claims to have eliminated this problem. But a Science magazine article (July 8, 1988) lists Ibuprofen as cross reactive. Under the new government guidelines THC testing levels will be reduced to 50 nanograms. Many more THC false positives can be expected in 1994. Dristan Nasal Spray, Neosynephren, Vicks Nasal Spray, Sudafed, etc.
I took better notes in class, I ran farther on the treadmill, my reaction time was better when I played tennis, I studied harder and longer, and at bars and/or social scenes I didn't feel the need to drink as much as when I didn't take a pill before I went out. Soon I began stealing the pills from my brother. Currently, I am working as an intern - and I realize that taking adderall helps the day go by faster - b/c I am constantly keeping myself involved and active in office business.

Homemade poppy tincture, 11 days. Adderall, 54 days. Vicodin, I don't remember how long, and that depends on whether you count from when I last used it or when I broke the physical addiction anyway.
You're in the right place if you want off the Tramadol! You can do it! I believe in you!
