Adderall and liver damage

Common Questions and Answers about Adderall and liver damage

adderall

Hi JoJo, I am a 30 yr old female and I take a combo of Adderall XR and regular Adderall Here is my schedule: 6am: 20mg xr 10am: 10mg regular 1pm: 20mg xr AND 10mg regular 4pm: 10mg regular So, it's by bodyweight 1mg per 1kg of weight: I weigh 70kg, so 70mg is just right for me, I find that it lasts through 8-9pm, then I take 1mg klonopin to help with the "drop off" and to help me fall asleep.
I believe while there's a great euphoria and perceived elevation early on with combined adderall and weed, there is a severe penalty for this in the long-run.......and it ends in "vegetable state-of-mind". I believe the weed was the key issue with my final condition, the symptoms I describe above are very much weed-centric, but the adderall combined absolutely intensified and excellerated the weed symptoms to such a degree that I honestly thought I was losing it...
Ok, the question I have is concerning the supplements I take and their effects on the active components of adderall. I already know that common acids like citric and phosphoric are detrimental to the effectiveness of adderall, but are there other such factors? Also, I have been noticing that either a certain combination or some other factor is causing me to be really irritable and quite anxious at times.
for example if you smoke pot once a month you can still be just as productive and not kill your liver but if you smoke 3x/day you will become slow, lazy, and damage your liver .. same goes for cigs, alcohol, etc i just want to know what the small dosage i take can do or what dosage i can personally take and be safe .. any way to find this out?
I would probably talk to the doctor about bringing them off this medicine. I am 36 and couldn't tolerate Adderall, i was nervous, almost paranoid, moody..and it eventually seemed to make my ADD worse. I'm off it now and feel a thousand percent better. It took me about 5 months though before my body started making enough of it's own dopamine and I stopped feeling fatigued and depressed (it was progressive though). I take 5htp now and L tyrosine, both can help with ADD.
I am a little worried that at least one of my meds might be toxic for my liver (not before when my liver was ok, but now that my liver is in a more fragile state). I am going to list them for you to see if anyone knows if I should be concerned about any of these if you don't mind?
My mother wasn't for putting me on medications; she was afraid of the damage it would place on my liver. I was extremely young when I was diagnosed by the way. Growing up I was an amazing athlete with lots of drive, I played soccer, in addition to always party with my friends. I was also a great student; I practiced cognitive behavioral therapy, at the University of Pennsylvania, which promoted a Holistic approach of looking at typical disorders that children are labeled with.
I am wondering if anyone has had experience with Adderall XR or Wellbutrin XL and Reflux symptoms? I started Wellbutrin about 6 months ago, and Adderall XR about 3-4 months ago. I finally feel like I have the side effects under control for the most part.
You need to get a liver biopsy ASAP to determine how far your liver damage has progressed. End of the story! If you have been diagnosed this long and have high liver enzymes and have been drinking you really do need to find out where you stand and if you need to do treatment. I had no idea I had this disease until 2005 - already had stage 3 liver damage.
Important causes for elevated SGPT are viral hepatitis B and C, fatty liver, certain hepatotoxic drugs, and autoimmune liver diseases.Pls get your self evaluated for these conditions from a physician. There is no vaccine as yet for hepatitis C.so pls get yourself investigated by antibody testing(PCR).Like hep B,hep C is spread by direct blood-to-blood contact with an infected person. In my opinion,a consultation with a physician or hepatologist will be the best.
Taking that much Motrin for any length of time will eventually damage your liver and may be what is causing your stomach pain as it can cause ulcers, stomach bleeding, stomach discomfort. It can also cause nervousness which you don't need. Adderall is a stimulant which I'm not sure you need either, especially with some hardening in a vessel. I would immediately address this with your doctor. But if it hurts to lift your arm then your pain is muscle related, and not your heart.
e You know how and whe you became infected. If so and you are acute you can think of your liver as a normal liver rather than a Hep C liver. It takes years for the liver to even begin to fibrose, although inflammation may start to creep in. Most of us lived with Hep C for twenty years and didn't know,so take the doctors advice and take the medication. The liver is amazingly resilient,so concentrate on the DDD for now.
I can have a couple of days where I feel pretty good (not totally myself) but better than when I am so sick I take 75 mcg of synthroid per day and 30 mg of adderall for ADHD per day. Probably don't have ADHD. I think it is due to the thyroid inbalance. I I have trouble writing and remembering words. At times my tongue feels like it has been scalded by hot coffee or a hot drink.
I was on 300mg of inderal (bata blocker) but have since stopped since that is a high dose for a person of a 100 pounds and my kidney and liver functions started to suffer. Plus these drugs are not pregnancy approved. I went to the OB to see if I could have a second child and I was stunned by the response....."adopt." The OB's reasoning was that I would be on bed rest and I was high risk the first time and deliveres 6 weeks early.
I had the same thing with the Yaz. I was on Yasmin and switched to Yaz and promptly gained about 5 or more pounds. No problems at all with Yasmin, and I was on it for 5 or more years. I still work out like I did on Yasmin, and I've never eaten a lot, although, the Yaz does make me hungry all the time, and I can't seem to get rid of this bloating. I spot constantly and cramp. I have another friend that is the same way.
So hemochromatosis affects the thyroid and the liver? I may have that. My liver is creating excessive enzymes, and my Drs can't tell me why. When I see the endocrinoligist I'll make sure to ask him about it.
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
When you drastically cut the calorie intake you also alter the nutrients and your body goes in survival mode and the essential organs will get the nutrients and the others (hair, skin, nails) will get the left over.
Hi all I have had anxiety for 20 years and been on the benzos xanx for 17 years, then the last couple yearts between ativan and klonoopin..back on xanax and prozac and adderall now....i get pain on just the right side of my head face shoulder arm behind right breast,i look back and i have had this before like in the 90s...have no clue what it is...im full of fear.and since being on the prozac my head itches..like im allergic..
I live an amazingly high stress life (not enough room on the internet to go into that one) and have learned that when your body is enduring constant high stress, it causes your liver (? pretty sure it was liver) to produce an excess of enzymes and insullin to give your muscles the "strength" to cope with the physical side effects of stress. A natural defense mechanism but a real wammy for someone with PCOS and insullin resistance. I'm hoping it helps that issue too.
75 mg melatonin and feel groggy again this morning ---- am sleeping, but once again are the side effects worth it I agree with you and I guess I was impatient for any type of relief so I started all the vitamins at once The ALA is supposed to help with fatigue B12 is essential for proper brain and nerve function Vitamin B12 is stored in the liver, and proper liver function is essential for proper vitamin D metabolism.
Hi, I have been on Effexor XR for 3 years and I have gained about 40-50pounds, most when my dose was increased to 225, now I am on 75mg b/c I'm getting ready to wean off the medicine in a couple of weeks, and I haven't lost anything yet. My eating habits have not changed and I exercise. I have always been underweight and I could eat whatever I wanted...I'm only 26 years old...I know my metabolism has changed some, but not enough to pack on 40 pounds.
now I have pain under my right and left shoulder blades and tips of right and left shoulders, and in my chest ( middle, right and left chest). I told the gastroenterologist about the new symptoms and she told me to take CT scans immediately to check my abdominal and pelvis areas. Yesterday I took the tests and I got the results back today.
Like i said i have been on 5 years and get blood work twice a year and my liver kidney and other organs are perfect! My blood pressure and cholesterol are perfect too, im very healthy and i work out too. Opiates if taken RESPONSIBLY which 90% of people cant do and dont have the self control to do, but if you have strong will power and take them responsibly instead of just getting ****** up out of your mind all day, then they are MUCH better for you than xanax and other benzos.

I was on YAZ (for cramps and pms) and Adderall (for adult attention defecit disorder) at the same time for about a year, and started feeling faint while at work and in public. A couple of times I felt numbness in my face, and decided to go off of both. Many times I felt as though I couldn't fill my lungs up all the way with air -- so I would do breathing exercises. I did research and found that both were responsible for causing blood clots and strokes.
Its the only thing i can really think of, except for that i read online somewhere that you can get infected acne sores or something because of liver damage? i do use acetophinomine or however it is spelt somewhat, and i used a good deal of nyquil on the nights that i couldnt fall to sleep because of the adderall, and i drink. but still, idk. .ive never had it so bad and discusting before. im obviously stopn adderall for good. Heh, sorry if you cant understand it..andi know its really long sry.
The tailbone, the vagina and the rectum are very close together. It makes sense that nerve damage to the tailbone area could also affect sexual functioning and might produce the "butt cramps" we experience. The other things I've read that realistically seem to be be associated with Proctalgia Fugax are Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Endometriosis. It's amazing to me that 14 - 18% of the population may be experiencing these symptoms and that 75% of these are women!
One regular strength tablet of acetaminophen may cause damage to a cat’s red blood cells, limiting their ability to carry oxygen. In dogs, acetaminophen leads to liver failure and, in large doses, red blood cell damage. 3) Antidepressants (e.g. Effexor, Cymbalta, Prozac, Lexapro) While these antidepressant drugs are occasionally used in pets, overdoses can lead to serious neurological problems such as sedation, incoordination, tremors and seizures.
