Ask him to prescribe clonidine, (not klonopin), and ativan. These will help with sleep, RLS and anxiety. These are best to try before formal detox and drugs like Suboxone. I had to do formal detox because I tried everything else, including alcohol to get off and nothing worked for me. Keep in mind that when you try… make it a good one! Have some time off of work if you can… maybe a four day weekend or more.
Hi JoJo, I am a 30 yr old female and I take a combo of adderall XR and regular adderall Here is my schedule: 6am: 20mg xr 10am: 10mg regular 1pm: 20mg xr and 10mg regular 4pm: 10mg regular So, it's by bodyweight 1mg per 1kg of weight: I weigh 70kg, so 70mg is just right for me, I find that it lasts through 8-9pm, then I take 1mg klonopin to help with the "drop off" and to help me fall asleep.
Now, I've heard that klonopin is much better than xanax in that it's more ideal for panic disorder. Do you know the differences between attivan, valium, klonopin and xanax. Do you suggest klonopin? Why or why not?
if adderall is a stimulant and clonazepam is a benzo, why does dr. have me on both? are they compatible?
)) and take klonopin and/or Xanax to avoid the tossing and turning. Based on this SWIY has a few questions: Should SWIY be taking any more or avoiding certain substances to avoid building an amp. tolerance or to make the Addie work better? Do you have any suggestions for helping to fall asleep or mellow out for SWIY after a speedy day? (Benzos are hard for SWIY to find and expensive, also doesn't want to play with addiction...
I have tried klonopin, ativan, ambien cr, tonight for instance i took 1 ambien 4 1/2 mg of ativan and 1 1/2 mg of klonopin and i am wide awake. Not quit sure the difference between adderall and benzo's. I used to be on ridilin and now am on dexedrin which are both uppers but have sleep side affects that are supposed to make you sleepy . I am at my whits end. sorry not really much of an advice more than a comment and trying to learn what other people are trying.
I am concerned that she is addicted and will have withdrawal problems. I have hidden the adderall from her and she no longer has it available. She relizes that she has a problem and has commited to quit. What are the withdrawal symptoms, how soon after she has quit to they show, how long to they last and how can I help.
However it has similar dopaminergic, seritonergic and noradrenergic properties adderall and Ritalin but it also has been shown to work on neurotransmitters called orexins and histamines (anti-histamines like Benadryl make you tired, while Provigil stimulates histamines that promote wakefulness). These are the likely reasons provigil has less side effects than adderal or Ritalin in general.
doing some research on adderall...3rd day on it, helps out, but severe headaches, constipation and stomach upset.
Personally, I take 15mg Ritalin 2-3x daily and .5mg klonopin 2x daily, and it's a good balance for me. If you feel anxious you might want to try halving your ritalin and see if that helps (although you should call your doctor first!). Ritalin is also known to cause anxiety on its own. Just tell your doctor/psychiatrist your symptoms and they should be able to help with adjusting your dosages (they should know drug interactions, but you might want to remind them). My info.
I lose memory and don't remember how many adderall or klonopin I took. I am very much dependent on the klonopin as well. I have been on it for years. But I don't abuse it unless I am on adderall. I am already starting to think something I never thought I would-obtaining it illegally. I don't know anyone that sells it, but I am so scared to go weeks again without it. I ended up in the psych ward the last couple times from suicidal depression. I have been taking adderall for over a year now.
But to mix those three (addy's, beta blockers, and klonopin) she is nuts! I take adderall, I abuse it at times, and I have a mitral valve problem, I tend to have slight panic attacks at times but I know it's all in my head. If she is having attacks like that she should probably be concerned, only because some of the palpitations may be more then in her head and an adverse effect of her meds.
I also take neurotin 3xs a day and klonopin 3x's a day. I was just wondering has anyone taken adderall and ritilan and was there a big difference in the 2? I only ask because my insurance doesn't cover the adderall but it does ritilan. I really don't want to mess with my medication regime but if there isn't a huge difference in the 2 then finacially.....
I know that I must get off all my meds I also take klonopin for anxiety but I have already reduced my dose from 3 mg a day to a 1/2 to one a day depending on how I feel. I do have concerns about how to get off the adderall safely and what medications would be safe during pregnancy that would allow me to function. I see my Dr on the 22nd and I will discuss this with her, but I'm worried that then she will take me off of it immediately without any sort of help, like tapering or other medications.
i have been taking adderall for 7 yrs and have been as high as 90mgs a day. im down to 60mgs a day. i feel paranoid all the time and suffer from depression insomnia and cant remember the last time i smiled. what i want to know is whether or not its possible to wean myself off this drug and continue to work. taking a leave from my job is not an option. is there any safe supplement to help ease the wds? how long do the wds last and will i ever feel better again? what are the wd symptoms?
My current psych would up my meds, but probably be concerned since he knows I have a past of alcohol abuse(and admit that I still drink.) Also he gives me 75 1 mg of klonopin a month, and Ambien since I complained about the Restoril(Temazepam.) All psychiatrists are different, and I'm an active guy who works out, am 5'11, 170 with a fast metabolism. He said some people take 120 mg a day of adderall which I think would be all effed up.
They also recommend Acupuncture, as this has been known to help settle the muscles and nerves that become completely tenses up during a taper. -I'm kind of at a loss, and not quite sure what to do as she wants to taper klonopin first and then Xanax. Though I think it would make sense to work out a taper plan for both using Valium (diazepam) as a cross-over.
this new psychiatrist switched me to klonopin - .5 twice a day. i started the new meds on saturday and have been feeling very anxious since then. i have trouble sleeping and i have underlying anxiety through out the entire day. i am okay if i rest a lot and try to not move around too much, but this isn't very realistic considering i have to go back to work tomorrow. so my question is, is it normal to feel like this in the beginning of the switch?
He placed on klonopin for 2 months. klonopin not only caused severe constipation but I was lazy and tired all the time.To make a long story short, I have went to 9 doctors and get repromanded for wanting Xanix. One doctor even accused me of being addicted to the 20 Xanix a month. I would much rather take a Xanix as needed and I am tired of doctors thinking 20 or less xanix a month is abusing. I do not drink Alcohol nor have ever taken drugs for recreation.
There're several sites that offers information on interactions between medications, side effects of medications......both klonopin and Trazadone will make you feel drugged up all day . I tend to agree with your husband that it may not be a good idea to add another med to your system if you don't have to.
I used to get ticks and I don't anymore,it was probably the wellbutrin with the adderall and I also have on and off bulimia/anorexia still and wellbutrin is not suggested for bulimics because of the increased risk of seizures. For the past three weeks though,I've been having a little tickle/spasm in the left part of my brain, it's not too painful though. Any ideas on what that is? I got a CAT scan and they told me I didn't have an aneurysm.
Yes, you can stop the adderall. The others you can not stop, but must be slowly taken off them. HOWEVER, I think you reason for your problems is the prozac. I quote: "We will cover more details later, but for now just remember this: Prozac and Paxil both significantly block the pathway for the metabolism of adderall and all the amphetamine products. [Wellbutrin and Cymbalta can block 2D6 at their higher doses.
Back then i would only take a pill if there were available and one day i went to my doctor and i told him that i tried adderall and said that it really helped me (which it did at the time) and asked if i could get a prescription...He told me that i have to see a phsychiatrist first to see if i was actually diagnosed with add/adhd...So i went through the process and i was officially diagnosed with adhd....I was soo happy of course that i qualified to get the meds...
Forgot to add one more important side effect of adderall. I have great difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep while taking this drug. I was prescribed klonopin to help me "chill" and sleep. adderall can increase anxiety in some. Sooo... yes, I am basically taking uppers & downers to get through the day/night and both are very addictive & dangerous combo.
5 mg of clonazepam and i see alot about a med on here called klonopin i went online and it seems that clonazepam and klonopin are almost the same is this true? any one have any info or experience taaking these meds let me know.
Last June I had a breakdown and I was out of state a a physician I went to put me on seroquel, lexapro, and vyvanse....along with my klonopin. This seemed to be working, then he added adderall and I was amazed at this. I felt "normal" for the first time in 30 years. I could think straight, and as time has gone by the depression has gone. I take 30 mg of this a day. Recently, since the insurance said they would not pay for Vyvanse and adderall the Dr.
