Common Questions and Answers about Adderall and fainting

adderall

i'm a 24 year old male, don't know if this is the right place to be but i'm looking for some different opinions for a situation that i'm having. I've been on Adderall for about 6 months now and everything has been going fine, until now. Before getting on the drug, I've been warned about the Appetite sepressant that it is. Although, the medicine was great in that area, i went from 283 lbs in May 08 to 209 lbs Nov. But yesterday, I fainted for the first time ever in my life.
Your symptoms mimic mine and the situations are eerily similar, right down to the 20mg of Adderall 3x a day, height/weight and anxiety. I am 30 and have been working with my PCP for 10 years to tweak diet/exercise/meds to try and manage underlying anxiety that is exasperated by Adderall. Sadly I am so freaking ADD, I really do need the stimulant. I also just quit smoking, which is good for heart rate/bp fluctuations, but not so helpful for decreasing anxiety.
I'd like to know if its dangerous to have your heart rate go up to 98bpm and have it stay around this area through out part of the day (due to Adderall)? I'm 26 years old and started taking Adderall 2 months ago. While the medication is active my heart rate goes up to 95-99bmp. It's usually 98 but it did go up to 101 at one time. My resting HR when I wake up in the morning is 60ish and my normal heart rate at mid-day is 80. It goes down in the 70's at night.
I was first put on stimulant meds in 2008 because I kept feeling constantly so tired and fatigued. my doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and prescribed Nuvugil for energy and to be able to stay awake. I got addicted to it pretty quickly and eventually began a series of cycles of taking it until it made me so sick I had tostop, deciding to get off it fit good and making it clean for a week or three weeks or a month or two months but still being so miserable that I'd go back on it.
I used to get ticks and I don't anymore,it was probably the wellbutrin with the adderall and I also have on and off bulimia/anorexia still and wellbutrin is not suggested for bulimics because of the increased risk of seizures. For the past three weeks though,I've been having a little tickle/spasm in the left part of my brain, it's not too painful though. Any ideas on what that is? I got a CAT scan and they told me I didn't have an aneurysm.
I am 20 and was prescribed 20mg Adderall (10 in AM 10 at noon) daily about a year ago. I only take it when I have classes and sometimes at work, and I was not taking it very regularly the past 2 months. About a month ago, I started having attacks of dizziness, sweating, near fainting, and confusion about two hours after the second dose (sometimes after the first). I noticed this more on days I didn't eat for several hours at a time, and the dizziness usually improved after eating.
I am wondering if anyone has had experience with Adderall XR or Wellbutrin XL and Reflux symptoms? I started Wellbutrin about 6 months ago, and Adderall XR about 3-4 months ago. I finally feel like I have the side effects under control for the most part.
I have known him for about a year and a half. He is a very stable individual and ambitious. He and I talked a long time tonight and he has accepted the fact he must have been hallucinating. I have advised him to see his physician (general practitioner) first thing next week. I am just curious if taking the adderall out of cycle along with lack of sleep and some stress related to school and financial could cause this acute episode of hallucinations?
I have tachycardia (usually around 110bpm), muscle pain, I am losing tons of hair, abdominal pain, and nausea. I have noticed that my tears and sweat are not salty anymore I take adderall for fatigue (just increased to 80 mg per day). Enbrel 50 mg once a week (4 RA), Mobic 15mg qd, baclofen 5mg tid, ambien 5mg hs, and hydrocodone 10/325 up to 6 times a day. I had a 24 hr urine test 6 months ago for cortisol but it was normal. Would adderall increase cortisol levels?
I have just finished my 1st trimester of pregnancy and have had 3 episodes of fainting and convulsing. I'm deathly afraid of continuing my pregnancy and dread what delivery will bring. My episodes in pregnancy seem random to me. I was very encouraged by the fact that there are others of you with this condition, thought I was alone. I would love to hear any other ideas as to try to prepare myself for what is ahead and maybe get to enjoy this a little.
When you drastically cut the calorie intake you also alter the nutrients and your body goes in survival mode and the essential organs will get the nutrients and the others (hair, skin, nails) will get the left over.

the nausia and headaches & vomiting haven't bothered me so far. I do need to keep close to the bathroom which is a very typical side effect of the med. I know I need to watch my diet to really get the best results along with exercise. This gets easier with weight loss so the met is helping me to get more active. I am concerned about firming my body up after the weight is gone, especially the stomach area. I do ab work and workout with light weights to help with this.
what would the side effects be if a person took 40, 30mg adderall xr. how long do the side effects last?
I was on YAZ (for cramps and pms) and Adderall (for adult attention defecit disorder) at the same time for about a year, and started feeling faint while at work and in public. A couple of times I felt numbness in my face, and decided to go off of both. Many times I felt as though I couldn't fill my lungs up all the way with air -- so I would do breathing exercises. I did research and found that both were responsible for causing blood clots and strokes.
The strange sensation in your face/arms could be a symptom of pre-syncope (near-fainting). It's really hard to say without knowing what the sensation is exactly, what the circumstances are, and what signs (verifiable objective things such as BP, HR, etc.) accompany the symptoms.
And it took me months of research, but what made it easy was having 3 drugs and a healthy body and seeing where Isotretinoin, Adderall, Marijuana all connected and which parts of the body do each effect. I have been researching on my own for months, purchasing medical journals, and communicating with a few med student friends of mine who are open minded and willing to learn (unlike doctors these days) I am 110% confident it is the adderall.
I think you should talk with the principal about the boy who is selling it so he doesn't get anyone else addicted, and tell her you care about her and are going to tell your mom or her mom so she can get the help she needs. She really should be monitored by a doctor while coming off this stuff.

Over the course of the past year I've been fatigued, gone through periods of what seemd to be a severe uti, and have had fainting spells (already had tests done and ruled out seizures- just fainting, possible anxiety attacks.
At any exertion, sweat would pour from his head and the rest of his body and he would continue sweating for a long time afterwards. Heartburn and acid reflux, especially at night. Flushing in the face, without apparent reason. His doctor diagnosed him with depression. Against his grain, he agreed to try different anti-depressants but things kept getting worse. Apart from all of the other symptoms, he started having some episodes that his doctor described as panic attacks.
Heart murmur is an abnormal sound cause by the abnormal heart valves. Adderall could have caused this. Goggle Adderall +heart disease and it will pull up lots of information linking the two together.
I am diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia with Long Sleep and currently take Adderall. Prior to Adderall, I was taking Nuvigil. I took the Nuvigil for just over year and then my doctor changed the medication to monitor if the symptoms were being caused by the Nuvigil. I have been taking Adderall for approximately 2 1/2 months. Many people blame all of this on stress and Anxiety attacks, but I am adamant that I am not stressed out more than what is typical among nearly all people.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.

I also have had a spinal to check for MS since my Oct fainting spell and mri found lesions on my brain. My spinal seems to have lesions outside of the spinal cord. This last hospital stay over the weekend found no change on the brain MRI. I was also told that the spinal fluid was checked wrong for MS so it's not a positive no. Anyone else dx with POTS, MS, Narcolepsy? Is it all related?
