adderall

Avatar n tn Hey im christina im 15years old and have been on adderall since i was 10. adderall could cause compulsiv behavior if the dose is just a little to high for him. For his weight loss, yes its completely normal to have a back and forth (gain and lose) weight for being on adderall. When he dosnt take the medican ull notice his hunger coming out.
Avatar n tn Hi JoJo, I am a 30 yr old female and I take a combo of adderall XR and regular adderall Here is my schedule: 6am: 20mg xr 10am: 10mg regular 1pm: 20mg xr AND 10mg regular 4pm: 10mg regular So, it's by bodyweight 1mg per 1kg of weight: I weigh 70kg, so 70mg is just right for me, I find that it lasts through 8-9pm, then I take 1mg klonopin to help with the "drop off" and to help me fall asleep.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have an 8 yr old son wjo has adhd and is on adderall xr 20 mgs he has just recently had this increase, he has also been on concerta which did not work and straterra which cause him to hallucinate. I am having a hard time getting him to eat and he is having a very hard time sleeping. the doctors have given different medications to help him sleep including melatonin trazodone and benedryl, they all seemed to have the opposite effect on him. I just dont know what to do.
Avatar f tn This has an effect on every system of the body which is why there are so many symptoms associated with CM and why it is such a hard disorder to manage. I have been taking a stimulant medication (adderall) for many years now and that has helped me on many levels, one of them being my insatiable hunger.
Avatar n tn I have an eating disorder, OCD, ADD, depression and a general anxiety disorder. My psychiatrist and I recently decided that I would stop the wellbutrin and go up to 25 mg of adderall. It has been 3 days now and I am finding that I am extremely "stuck" in my own thoughts/fantasies, I feel like I am living in a dream world and have no motivation. Could this be due to the discontinuation of the wellbutrin or the increase in adderall? I feel like I am not truly experiencing life.
Avatar n tn But i can say that the adderall has given me energy and even if i dont go for a walk and just sit on my computer, i can tell my metabolism is high and my appetite is low.... Im not one that likes to take meds, believe me.. but if anyone is trying to lose weight and like me... over weight and cant exercise that well.. ask about adderall.... I wish each and everyone of you success and god bless........
Avatar n tn I have experience with adderall. I am prescribed 40mg a day, and for the most part I stick to that. I used adderall to help me get off coke. Then at times I used the two together. I have crushed and snorted A-bombs many times. I know (to a much lesser degree) how fatigued I feel when I don't take it in the morning and I am just on the prescribed dose. I feel for you and I hope you find some relief from this hell.
Avatar n tn ) He has shifted his oppositional behavior from school to eating. A self-appointed vegetarian since he was two, he now eats fewer and fewer foods and is growing ever taller and thinner. After a recent check-up his physician said that she would like to see him gain seven pounds in the next six months. Considering the his diet (fruits and carbohydrates and milk) and his increasingly suppressed appetite, I don't see how this is possible.
Avatar n tn I found out yesterday (for the first time) that adderall is addictive. I've been buying and taking it for about 2.5mths now, and based on what I've read,I believe I'm addicted. When I got my first one in late October, I was assured (numerous times) by my friend that they were not addictive, and I could take as many as I wanted. Well, I did just that, and I liked that feeling so much that I've been buying them ever since. Sometimes I take one a day, and on other days, I take 2.
Avatar n tn I am 23 years old and have been perscribed some form of medication for adhd since I was 16. I am now perscribed 20mg of adderall twice a day, though i rarely take more than 15-20 mg a day unless I have an exam etc. Although I do not take that much, I started to feel this year the definate need to take some EVERY day. Without it I sometimes can't get out of bed on the weekend. I limit my dose so to keep my 'addiction' at a minimum, but my question is is this really bad for me?
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response, it does feel good to know that others felt that way before and still do! Its like I want to be able to not use and still feel good so I feel like I m notfully ready to stop! I am scred that I will be lazy and feel crappy everyday! My father was an alcoholic and a drug user too. He passed from cirrhosis of the liver when I was 16.
Avatar f tn I have a hunch the nausea is from a combination of eating less due to appetite suppression and a dosage of adderall that is too high, since I let my tolerance build back up? My bowel changes started when I started the new 20 mg XR. My main curiosity is if it affects my digestion like that, is it giving my body time to absorb nutrients from food and supplements. I guess can take my supplements 1 hr before adderall or at QHS, which is one solution.
1746489 tn?1311519186 anyways i then stop the medication, which i had no problem stopping at all since i slowly went from two 20 mg of adderall a day for each 8 hours class in the morning and night. To one pill and day, to one pill every other day, till nothing at all. SO don't think it's like taking (CRACK COCAINE) and almost impossible to stop.
Avatar n tn Basically, I am fully function on the adderall in high doses. I have started to buy adderall illicitly if I can, and I have been taking as much as 60-70mg twice a day, or 120 mg XR per day. Typically this lasts 10 days before it is no longer available, I have a day of mild withdrawal, then 19 days as a zombie again. Though I still have few side effects when I do take the adderall I know I can't take any more without hitting 'near toxic' levels.
Avatar m tn Though maintaining well above average grades, before my senior year of high school I was prescribed a daily dose of adderall Extended Release (XR) and adderall Instant Release (IR). From an early age I was identified as gifted, but I sought the prescription because concentration was getting in the way of performance as classes became more involved and I felt as though I suffered certain social problems associated with ADHD.
Avatar n tn Ok, the question I have is concerning the supplements I take and their effects on the active components of adderall. I already know that common acids like citric and phosphoric are detrimental to the effectiveness of adderall, but are there other such factors? Also, I have been noticing that either a certain combination or some other factor is causing me to be really irritable and quite anxious at times.
Avatar f tn my son was on that for his addhd and if he took it before eating it would cut back his appetite, he didn't feel like eating , but it helped him focus and it does cause some drowsyiness but just till you get use to it.
Avatar f tn Since adderall is a stimulant drug, it can cause heart palpitations. It can also increase blood pressure and cause dizziness. If you are not eating enough, this could exacerbate dizziness and lightheadedness. Unfortunately, side effects to medications can appear at any time during the therapy. I would discuss these side effects with your doctor and if you decide that you cannot tolerate these effects, you may need to change your medication.
9859033 tn?1413853737 it was gonna go anyway. I'm more upset that i'm not eating at all and letting it affect me. and worried for my health because of the speed. My appetite has been returning lately. My sleep suffers as well. but thats always been a thing. i can never manage to get enough sleep. at least the adderall keeps me up and fatigue at bay. i really hope new meds do something.
Avatar n tn it sounds like she has an eating disorder and takes adderall compulsively to keep her appetite away, and it also seems like she may be experiencing amphetamine-induced psychosis, which would explain the paranoia and disconnected thoughts which are unlikely characteristics of someone of her age who's made it to grad school.
Avatar n tn she doesn't have an eating disorder, when you take adderall you don't eat. As far as her heart problems are concerned when you have a condition like mvp and are taking beta blockers you shouldn't mix that prescription with adderall (or any stimulant in that matter). But to mix those three (addy's, beta blockers, and Klonopin) she is nuts! I take adderall, I abuse it at times, and I have a mitral valve problem, I tend to have slight panic attacks at times but I know it's all in my head.
Avatar m tn I am gay, but have not been very active sexually and have always practiced safe sex. I had an hiv test about 3 yrs ago and was negative. I have a poor diet, sometimes eating nothing for two days, and really do not drink water, just diet soda. I suspect adderall could be causing the problems. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn How on earth does that happen? On a different note, I have ADD, and was on adderall XR - 60mg per day, and I didn't lose weight, however, when I stopped taking it, I gained 10lbs within 4 weeks, and 3 months later, I'd gained 30lbs total. I'm going to go get a new prescription for it.
Avatar f tn I am eating normal and have even added more fiber to my diet.... and still nothing! What can I do to poop?
Avatar n tn I have had eczema at different times during my life but never as bad as these past five months and Im convinced its the adderall. I have started picking at my face and scalp and biting the inside of my mouth while grinding my teeth. Lately, in order to get any sleep and function at all during the day I have been drinking alcohol and smoking weed late into the night...
Avatar n tn I noticed I was particularly cold this winter. I am 34 and was officially diagnosed and started on adderall xr in Sept. My feet in particular have been freezing! Not numb or blue, just cold. I thought I might have become anemic due to the weight loss since the meds, so I saw the doctor. Blood tests are fine. I had a blood flow study on my legs yesterday and will be having a muscle nerve conduction test next week. It was just last week, though, that I noticed that my feet are sweating.
Avatar n tn She told me before she came back she had an addiction to adderall and had an affair with a registered sex offender fresh out of prison.6 weeks into our reconciliation she dropped me off at work, kissed me,told me she loved me and would pick me up at 2:30.She never showed up taking our only vehicle. All the signs were there, eating binges,in bed for a week, her supplier showing up,and meeting with her supplier 2 days before leaving, paying $17 on a bill I gave her $84 to pay,so on so forth.
Avatar f tn Right now I would just like honest advice and input on the damage I likely am causing the baby and tips on how to move forward. Believe it or not, it is eating me up inside. I am so dependent and addicted to my Aderall that I find something as big as a child inside and can't even stop me.
305180 tn?1279720347 I am not sure if you have seen or heard it before, but it has been proven that any of the antidepressant meds in children can cause depression and suicidal thoughts. The percentage has gone up sky high since 2002 and since doctors started prescribing things like Strattera for children. It was meant to be an anti depressant med for adults and they found it helped with ADHD in children but causes worse side effects. Just FYI for you and anyone else who reads this. Thanks again for the input.
Avatar n tn At night i have recently been feeling very depressed and sad...and i am wondering if it is because of the adderall. I want to stop taking it but i cannot stay awake during the school day without it, unless i chug a grande latte and later **** my brains out. I just need to know how long the adderall stays in your system/ withdrawl symptoms and what they are. Please help!!
