adderall and depakote

Can I take Adderall and Depakote together? I am having trouble with school work.

And also I was told some time back that Adderall would be added to the list. How long does this procedure usually take?

How does depakote make u feel. I was prescribed it for add and mild bipolar. I wanted adderall due to taking it in the past self med my self ...... but worked wonders.. ... iam not depressed i just dont have any motivation and my fous and concentration is in outer space. Always did bad in school and college 1.6 gpa. iam 37 now. I had a second opinion and both docs said depokote. Doc wants me to try it. iam very fit 6'1 195lbs.

Not sure you're right about taking two or more of these can cause it. Two of the drugs affect serotonin, but only trazadone does this primarily. However, any of these drugs by themselves (not including melatonin, which is not a drug and is one of the safest supplements ever studied) could cause all of your side effects and the combination wouldn't be appealing to me.

So, suddenly I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, taken off the lamictal and effexor I was taking in place of the Adderall, put on depakote, celexa, clonazepam, trazadone, and cymbalta, then told that Adderall is not a pain medication and I should never have been on it in the first place. Well, I trusted her, but I started feeling the absolute worst I ever had in my life, both mentally and physically.

She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. How can I convince her Dr. to not prescribe it anymore? Please help us.

i notice the next day my heart rate is lower and so is my blood pressure..i drank for 8 years on xanax and depakote and alot and was fine..i enjoy the taste of beer dont want to get drunk...but i felt kinda tipsy last night for some reason...any one else have expeierence with drinking with meds?It still kinda scares me..

In fact, a long-time friend suggests that I was misdiagnosed with Bi-Polar. Currently, I take 1000 mg. Depakote, 150 mg. Lamictal, and 30 mg. of Vyanse. The Vyanse was substituted for Adderral because I was looking for something better and maybe less side effects, not that I had negative side effects but I had some sleep issues with Adderall now corrected. I also learned from this forum that a person felt Adderall made them feel like they were on Meth.

my dr is retireing and i found a new one i will see in june,,the dr i have been seeing has been playing with my doses but i just dont see it helping,,right now im on 20 mg prozac and 3 mg xanax and 30 mg adderaLL...

m just starting to take Lithium and Depakote for the BP but, unless they fill me up with energy and concentration like my stimulants, I'll take all three.

If you were crazy enough that a few beers would make you go nuts you would be on a stronger does of Depakote and/or you would be an alcholic in which case the Depakote and beer isn't the issue..

after my manic episode and because of carbohydrate cravings. i was switched to Depakote ER when it became available and my weight stablized (though i haven't lost any weight) but, my hair is wonderful and thick, and i receive compliments. your MD should switch you to the non-generic, as ER doesn't come in generic form. this is expensive though. if you can't afford the ER then remember the hair loss will stop. though losing my hair was devastating. good luck!

I was trying to figure out if i could use adderall during my manic episodes. I am currently taking valium for the increased anxiety and depkote for mood stabilzation. I was also concerned about the fact that i seem to be going back into a drepression state. So i was wondering if i should go back to taking antideppressants. So if you could give me some insite i would really apperciate it.

Thank you. I am having severe panic attacks and see my doctor today. My Adderall for ADHD has a calming effect on me and helps with panic , concentration and sitting still. That seems to be the only thing taking away these horrible panic attacks, anxiety and psychosis. I have to split them in half throughout the day to help me.

ve tried Paxil, Zoloft, Lexapro, Lithium, Depakote, and Respiradol for Bipolar/depression so I know how you feel. I would encourage you to keep working with your doctor and it may take some time to figure out what works best for your body. Don't give up because when you find the right med for you, you can lead a normal healthy life. It turns out that Lexapro was right for me but it may not be right for you.

Its not one that is used here in the UK, over here depakote and lithium are used as first line treatment for bipolar. However it is a treatment for BP. With your psychiatrists help you may need to try out these medications to see which suits you best.

But I was also mildly manic. Hypo-manic. And extremely anxious. - Right now I am taking 1500mg depakote, 450 mg of wellbutrin, 100mg of prestiq and 25mg of adderall. Seems to be working fairly well - but it has taken ages to get this combo along with my anger, depression issues under control. Supposedly depression is anger turned inward. At least partially. That's where a therapist is very necessary along w/ all these drugs. Is a therapist of your program? I hope so.

s given at night because it can really knock you out. My son is on depekote, geodon, rozerem, and adderall xr. He has Aspergers and add. But he only takes 250 of the depokote and the dr does reg blood work on him. He's 10, Hope this helps! Good luck!

Does anyone have any ideas on what meds I can try other than Depakote, Cymbalta, and Geodon? What experience have people had with prozac? I'm thinking that a change in antidepressant is what I need. I will be switching to another psychiatrist soon, because my current one is leaving his practice. Hopefully I will get a new start on some new meds that can help me.

after over 20 yrs. of being treated for depression, ADHD, drug and alcohol addiction i'm now being treated for rapid cycling bipolar. (2 yrs.) i've been off and on depakote,the diagnosis seems good,, i'm currently taking 2 grams a day. i do better on medication but still struggle with focus, completeing tasks, starting new projects, anxiousness, worry. the doc and i are considering adding Abilify to the Depakote. anyone out there tried it.

My son is 25 and has seizure disorder. This past Thanksgiving, he had a total of 5 seizures over 24 hours necessitating a hospital visit and stay. They put him on a third seizure medication (Lamotrigine). I spoke with a neurologist at USF who didn't like that a 3rd medication was added before his previous two were maxed out--he was already on Keppra (max dosage) and Depakote (sprinkles--very low dose), so she titrated him up on the Depakote so we could get rid of the Lamotrigine.

Depakote, seroquel, effexor, and for a short time, wellbutrin (I shook on that one, it really amped me up). Off all now and am feeling better but know that I need to find a med that works for my core diagnosis.

Depakote stopped me in my tracks. Not only did I not have mania I also went flat emontionally and felt like I was turning to stone. I was unable to function. I just wanted to sit and stare. Couldn't tolerate it and quit after a month or so.

My Doctor is working with me and helping me in any way he can. I have ADHA and use to take Adderall daily. I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.

i am on adderall xr and zoloft 50mg and it is makin me very sick.i am starving every 2 hrs my moods have me very angry..i have diarea and nasea....i have just switched from celea and adderall to the zoloft...what can i take for depression with my adderall that wnt make me sick?
