Now the day after baseball he signed up for football, I tried to explain that it would consume just as much time as baseball if not more, and now that has proven true and he gets mad every time I tell him that he can't stay after football practice for open gym (Football isn't over until 600 pm). I try to make him understand that I still have to go home and cook dinner, and do general chores around the house----basically he becomes irrate and mad, you can't talk to him.
First he complained of shortness of breath during one of his baseball games, it went away with rest. Then a week later he was riding his bike and he start having severe mid back pain, bad enough that he got off his bike and laid on the side of the road crying and screaming. Took him to the E.R. and all his labs, chest xrays and ekg's were ok. 2 days later he could not get out of bed due to severe chest pain (sternum area). He was in so much pain he didn't want to move.
So I am thinking of giving him a 1/4 of a 20mg adderall to start off with and see how that works does anyone else take adderall for head trauma? Just wanting to know if it has helped them. Thank you for responses, and I know the law of giving un prescribed drugs out, but the drugs he should be taking no one will prescribed them until he has a neurologist, but we cannot afford one with the state not helping us. All we have is each other and I have done everything I can do, alone.
My Doctor is working with me and helping me in any way he can. I have ADHA and use to take Adderall daily. I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.

She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. How can I convince her Dr. to not prescribe it anymore? Please help us.

I've been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy.
A couple weeks ago my Dr. left and I was given a "temp" to take her place.
i have an upcoming test and was maybe going to take some adderall to help me study. i do not have ADD and am not prescribed adderall. i know it may be harmful but i have done it in the past and i seemed to be fine. i was wondering if maybe taking the adderall while on the antibiotic would be a problem? what health risks would this pose?
I currently take 60mg Adderall XR once a day and recently my Dr. added Celexa 20mg once a day..Anyone have any experience with that combination?I noticed yesterday for about five minutes my hearing wasnt as good..then that went back to normal..this is after adding the celexa..Adderall never did this..I also now have diarrhea where with only the Adderall I only went once a week...but Adderall makes me not hungry at all...not till after 6 pm..
My 16 yr old son had a stent placed via catherter in his descending aorta to fix a coartation (restriction). He has also been diagnosed with a "mildly" dilated ascending aorta and bicuspid aortic valve (with a "trivial" gradient). One month after the stent procedure, he had a cardiac and head MRI which found nothing unusual. We await a stress test which will occur ~3 months out from the procedure, which we hope will allow him to return to competitive baseball.
He played baseball earlier this year and we had no problems with him, and now he is in football , there are days when we cant get him to the field fast enough because he is ready to tackle and be with him friends, but then there is days when the smallest thing will make him cry for an hour straight. Punishments just do not work with him at ALL. He fights with his 2 yr old sister 90% of the time, when he is mad you cant talk to him, look at him, or anything because he will flip out.
I've been taking adderall for about 10 years now, and I've always had problems with my voice, specifically the volume of my voice. Especially when I take an extra tablet, the next day my voice is breathy and hoarse. Do you think this has to do with adrenal burnout? Or could it be LPR (silent reflux)? I worry the Adderall is altering stomach acid PH? which might be causing my lower esophageal sphincter to get stuck open, causing pepsin leakage into throat?
oh honey, get him off that stuff! my son has adhd and bipolar, and they tried to treat both, but adderall is a definite no-no. it increases aggressive behavior and raging. you will have to teach him to deal with paying attention, but you can't treat bipolar using any other technique than drugs and therapy. take him off soon, and let usknow how it goes. good luck to you!
