Avatar n tn Hello, Just an update about my daughter. She has been doing well. No "words" for the past 2.5 weeks. She saw a neurologist who stated that neurologically she is fine. She was referred to a neuropsychologist for testing. She stated that she see's no reason for testing now and the problem may be school related, since the "words" are 90% in school. She did say that she may have a budding "ADHD." FYI the DSM 1V has only one classification for Attention deficit now.

Avatar m tn A bit background, I'm totally a hypochondriac, I'm constantly scaring myself into making symptoms worse. A couple weeks ago I had a constant pressure headache, in my forehead, temples, behind my eyes mostly. It would come and go. It was at that point I started worrying and noticing that I was making (more?) errors then normal when speaking. Errors like occasionally lisping, combining words (e.g.
Avatar f tn As we do read eBooks,PDFs files from computer,as we have to concentrate and that can damage our eyes but wearing a reading glass will save our eyes from getting strain. I usually wear reading glasses at the time of reading and my doctor suggest me to purchase from http://www.citysunglass.com/,as their glasses quality is good.

Avatar f tn Is ADD likely to grow more serious or develop into something else that affect concentration and thinking when people get older?
Avatar m tn I spoke to a mentor about this issue and he doesnt take it seriously, he tells me that these are not unusual symptoms. I have made severall ADD tests online, the result was that there is a high possibility that I have ADD. Now my question to you is , are this symptoms of me having ADD, and if yes what should I do ? Should I take this serious ??
Avatar f tn How long have you had these symptoms? Does it come and go? Any other symptoms? A thorough neurological exam at this time is essential which will test: reflexes, gait, a look at the optic nerve, strength, coordination, etc. Your PA should be ordering various tests to find other causes of your symptoms. Take a look at the Health Pages to get an idea of what is typical testing for a person with symptoms such as yours.
Avatar n tn I have suffered from ADD symptoms as a result of my drug and alcohol use a decade ago. I have been on many ADD and anti depressant meds but all to no avail except with Wellbutrin XR and somewhat with Concerta. The Wellbutrin worked amazingly well a long time ago but stopped shortly after I took a small sip of hard liquor. My doctors are perplexed by this but that is the only explanation I can come up with.
Avatar f tn Is there any way to add MS symptoms that aren't on your list? For example, one of my worst ones is itching, so I'd like to add it. Thanks!
1858622 tn?1319813203 I do recommend some on line sites which have a lot of useful information since they are aimed at adults by adults with ADD. The two sites aimed at the adult ADD sufferer that you might want to check out are totallyadd.com and http://jeffsaddmind.com/for-first-time-visitors. Both sites are done by people with ADD. totallyadd was actually a PBS special and consequently is a series of short videos. Quite entertaining and useful. Jeffs add mind really reflects him.
Avatar m tn I am wanting so answers regarding ADD in adults. What are the major symptoms? Does it get more severe with age? My Focus in high school was very difficult. I could not focus in class at all. It is strange because I was voted the outstanding athlete of the year in my graduating high school class. Today many years later i am full of fear when it comes to learning..................
459210 tn?1237381603 there are also some really good ADD/ADHD sites that have a checklist of common symptoms, I could not beleive it, I ticked every box. the interesting thing is that ADD is genetic and if you have it one of your parents do.

1205205 tn?1272394483 I have no idea where to begin when reading the blood work. Two things my doctor pointed out was my wbc were too low and that the viral count was undetectable. These are the results for my 12/24 week test. I am going to take another test tomorrow and will get the results next week. Thank you in advance!
Avatar f tn As for differences between bipolar and adult ADD - google has information, personally I believe adult ADD to be up their with childhood *** as about most over diagnosed thing around and do not remotely believe its as prevalent as people say - I have met plenty of adults who claim to be ADD and not one of them truly fits the symptoms and the behaviours but hey they get ritalin and it works so they must be ADD right? * Ritalin works on non ADD and ADD people in most cases...
255163 tn?1376869746 Is it possible to have a blood pressure reading of 142/126 after brisk walking for 40 minutes. The 126 is what concerns me. I used a home monitor for the reading. My heart rate was 84. I had no symptoms such as chest pain dizzy, weak or out of breath. This happened maybe twice before in the past year. I thought it was the monitor that was wrong. But now I'm having second thoughts. I want to add also that after a minute I took my pressure again and it was 125/67 heart rate 74.

Avatar m tn Hi, I am 20, and went to get an MRI b/c my hand/s have been having mild arthiritis like symptoms [chronic ache, more pain with work/use, carpal-tunnel like symptoms rarely{tingling}, throbbing after extended use, stiffness that gets better after they 'wake-up', feeling of *mild* strength loss?), closer to osteo than anything...and, I'm too young for that?...
Avatar f tn I agree with the new psychiatrist that I have all the symptoms of ADD or even ADHD, but I also have the symptoms of schizophrenia. So what is it? Or is it possible to have both? He wants to put me on a drug for ADD but from what I've read, those drugs can exacerbate schizphrenia symptoms.
