Avatar n tn Hi there I'm really worried about my little boy having adhd he's nearly 2 years old which I know is young to reconize symptoms of his age but his behavour is worrisome.if he can't do something straight away he gets angry and will hit, head butt anything near him.if i tell him no for anything he responseds in the same way but with me.his anger outbursts are very extreme considering he's from a calm household.
293420 tn?1243142938 There are TONS of parents who post about their toddlers/children having speech and language issues, but they have to post on Parenting Toddlers 1-5. It would be great to have all of the posts in one place and be able to track one another's progress with their children and hear stories from other parents about their S/L impaired children. I'm an SLP and I would LOVE to have a forum for this. I'm surprised that there is not one already!
Avatar n tn My son (aged 2) has 3 enlarged nodes in his neck, one over 2inch long and pretruding, and one in his groin. He has seen the pedritician and they have said that 2 in his neck and 1 in his groin are all within the normal limits (although the one is larger than a grape?) the one that is longer than two inches she said was larger than normal but felt ok to her. They did a blood count (normal) and test for glandular fever and told me to not worry.
Avatar f tn I am just looking for some opinions. I have been doing lots of research in hopes of helping him in the interim year that we are waiting for an appt. and we do have another appt with the ped next week. I have also gotten him into a clinic that is funded by the Autism Alliance for an evaluation by them...although it will not be an official diagnosis it will help sort some things out, I hope. Thanks so much for reading and giving any input.
480331 tn?1310403529 go to a vitamin store and buy ultra high culture count Pro-biotics and then while shopping pick up plain yogurt and mix a couple capsules in and add natural fruit that is cheap and in season, peaches, strawberries, or just bananas etc. . . let the yogurt sit out to warm a little before mixing and u will get more in one dessert than 20 packages of junk off the shelf and far less expensive. u can also blend in milk with fruit, ice cream etc . ...
Avatar f tn No no no exclusively pumping is entirely too time consuming and flat out HARD. I tried for a month and to really feed your baby the right way assuming you don't dry up, you have to pump like 13 times a day. Add that to your hungry new born, plus the two toddlers. I'd lose my mind.
Avatar n tn I have suffered from ADD symptoms as a result of my drug and alcohol use a decade ago. I have been on many ADD and anti depressant meds but all to no avail except with Wellbutrin XR and somewhat with Concerta. The Wellbutrin worked amazingly well a long time ago but stopped shortly after I took a small sip of hard liquor. My doctors are perplexed by this but that is the only explanation I can come up with.
184674 tn?1360860493 A Child Tracker could include a chart with more age appropriate symptoms of children in toddlerhood/childhood, such as allergies, behavioral issues, nutrition, illnesses, etc. Treatments could include vaccinations (already in the Baby Tracker) along with medication treatments, behavioral counseling, dietary supplements, physical therapy, etc. for example.
Avatar f tn Is there any way to add MS symptoms that aren't on your list? For example, one of my worst ones is itching, so I'd like to add it. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I literally have to lie in bed for the best part of the day and I can hardly eat a thing :(
5624774 tn?1374284525 Would you suggest it or no? Oh and i should add, in case something unexpected happens, i do have someone on call to come get her.
Avatar f tn Have either of you had a toddler after a Csection and have these tactics worked or are they just what you're planning on trying? That probably sounds really snotty and honest i don't mean it to sound that way but what's being said sounds good in theory but has anyone actually done it and it work out that well for them?
459210 tn?1237381603 there are also some really good ADD/ADHD sites that have a checklist of common symptoms, I could not beleive it, I ticked every box. the interesting thing is that ADD is genetic and if you have it one of your parents do.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a type 1 diabetic (in my 20s) and I work in diabetes professionally. I know many families with toddlers on pumps and very few have had problems with normal life interfering with the site/equipment. Most kids are so pleased to get off shots that it is a happy move for them. Regarding pulling it out: if your toddler does go on a pump he'll learn very quickly that leaving it alone is the best (read: least painful) thing.
Avatar n tn "Jack" has always been close to his cousin "Jane". They are about 1 year apart in age. Jack is 4 1/2 and Jane 3 1/2 . Jack recently complained to his mother that Jane kept wanting to play the "licking" game" and he didn't like it. From what we can tell, he told his mother that Jane taught him this game - it started that they licked each other's face and it then developed that Jane licked Jack's penis. It was this that he was complaining about.
Avatar f tn Looking back from age 68 now, I would say that the ADHD has pretty well maintained the same level. Lately, however, additional symptoms are creeping in, and it is not easy to determine whether they are due to my advancing years or to an increase in attention deficit. I am referring to greater difficulty focusing on reading and listening. I also struggle now with remembering names, appointments, the content of conversations etc.
1214043 tn?1266316769 To make a VERY long story short, he would wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain, he started to cry in the middle of something, then it would go away like nothing happened. It was either head hurting, knees or feet. It was hard to get a specific with a 2 year old. I kept bringing him to the dr's. I was told growing pains, too. I brought him to the ER at one point and he had a spinal tap and was admitted. But they couldn't find what was wrong.
Avatar n tn Thanx. I would definately signs see has symptoms of ADD. I am getting her evaluated in 2 weeks. Some days she focus well. Some days not at all. She will read anything that is not nailed down. She is now starting to read the Ann of Green Gables series. My husband thinks it will encourage her daydreaming and overactive "imagination." What do you think?
