I now pay just under $75 a month for Adderall (Doc appointment and pills)

I am going to discuss with my Dr. about getting ADD/ADHD medication, how do I ensure him that it is for the right reasons and not to abuse it like a lot of people do these days. I am not on any other medications and only go to the Dr. if I desperatly need too. I hate to take pills but I am trying to be the best person that I can, which means medication.

I had an allergic reaction to ambien so I can not personally reccomend it. However I loved my lunesta, it worked very fast. Now, just like with pain pills when you take sleeping pills be prepared to go to sleep. They are aiding you not making you go to sleep. It is not anesthesia so don't expect it to work as such. I no longer can afford the lunesta I go to my local VA for my medications and they don't carry lunesta.

For the first time, I loosened up, and began eating less, when popping my riba and Victrelis pills. The last pills I took with just a plum, and I got a terrible headachea nd stomach ache, from doing this. I had much less nausea, when I ate well. I think the idea is to eat well on all the pills, so if they made a "27 grm fat pill", people would avoid eating. I spent alot of my savings on pampering myself with appetizing foods, on this Tx. I tried to switch around.

I'm taking iron pills and they are giving me really bad constipation is there anything I can do ?

But ive been hearing if you forget 2 pills your supposed to take them when you remember and the take another 2 the next day... but I am unsure if I am considered to have missed 2 pills cos I really only missed 1, as the second one was just a few hours late?? So today I am puzzled if i should been taking 2 or not. And then i feelin this twingy feeling below my stomach and was freaking that it was sumhow implantation in the womb starting.

I know everyone's home life is different, but for me, I came clean to my family regarding my problem. That was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and I can't begin to tell you how much of a help they were to me dealing with the detox. It was harder trying to hide what I was dealing with and you know, they knew even before I told them. We change when we are taking the pills, but we are to blind to see it, but others aren't. Let me know how you're doing...

my husband just started on Namenda, starter doses, however, while I was at work today, he took 3 of the pills(5mg), should I be concerned? do I just have him continue tomorrow with the correct one pill in the morning? doesn''t seem to have any side effects.

I was diagnosed with add when i was about 3 or 4, and treated it on and off until i was in the 7th grade, then i just stopped taking my medications. I remember not liking how they made me feel. Im 20 now and heres my question. I am additonally an alcoholic, and frequent substance abuser since i was about 15.

but people always say ADD is just some fake problem and that i dont need pills to concentrate. they also say that its all in my head that the pills work. if it was all in my head that pills work, why would some work better than others? i stopped taking my pills for like a month or so, and am now failing 5 classes......and so i went back on my pills, and now people say i just wasnt working hard enough. this is really irritating me, this is a serious disorder to me......

Ever since i was told to take 2 iron pills along with my prenatals im becoming constipated. My ob said to take stool softners but does anyone know of any that are effective and doesnt cause severe diarrhea? After i had my son in 2010 i was given some at the hospital and omg that was worse than being constipated ( sorry if its tmi) i just need something to get me back on track. Any suggestions?

Sounds normal to me, to be honest. She's only 6------ it is difficult to block out all things and completely focus when in a noisy (which they all kind of are at that age) classroom. Is she doing fine with her work?? Is school coming to you with complaints? If not, then I would not make this into a big deal. If you think about it, we all have a subconsious as well that 'speaks' to us. Totally normal but a hard thing for a young child to verbalize.

Hi, i've always been very absent-minded and scatter brained, but i've never thought i could be ADD until my friends brought it up to me. I'm a 19 year old pre-med major at Baylor. I've noticed that I don't follow lectures at all. As hard as i try, a few sentences in and i've lost complete focus. I was sitting in the car with my friend, just having normal conversation, when she asked me if I had ever considered being tested for ADD.

my question is this, how do you get tested for add? where do you get tested? and which doctor gives you add medicine if you need it? what is the test like ? do they just ask questions? i know i have it and it would be nice to read a book...

My 7 yr grandson has been diagnosed with ADD. He is taking Stratera. He has been for about 1yr. His dose is 25 mg a day. It helps with some things. His main problem is his mouth(back talking), irritates to point she cries his sister, just plain defies you some days, and cries at the drop of a hat(sometimes for no reason and others when not getting his way). His mom is almost to her breaking point with his behavior. They live with us. His mom and dad are divorced.

my niece who has a semilar problem with add is on prozac and it seems to be working well for her. i am not sure if she is on prozac and adderol or just prozac, but I was wondering if that would help in terms of the anxiety that these drugs sometimes cause me. any help is appreciated.

I was wondering--have any of you been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD)? I was quite surprised when my neuro diagnosed me with this last week. I think it's related to my MS, but not sure (dummy me didn't think to ask). He told me that Provigil actually helps with this problem and raised my dosage a bit. The cognitive stuff has improved greatly since taking Provigil, but if it would go away completely, I don't think I'd mind one bit!

Certainly you exhibit some of the symptoms of ADD. You are also of an age that did not focus on girls in public schools who had ADD. All the attention tended to go to those hyper little boys. I have gone through both, they are comorbidities of ADD. The depression can spring up out of the life problems that ADD causes and the predisposition many of us have for the chemical imbalances of Depression. The insomnia I went through felt like I just couldnt turn off my thoughts, my mind was racing and I wasnt able to sleep. I dont often have that problem anymore, it was mostly as a kid.

Weird, never heard that one before - and I have been on this site for 4 years. I think that a lot of the adults with ADD would be real surprised if it were true. As long as you have a prescription you are fine.
