I am 24, female and about 5 years ago I tested positive on HSV-1 (I don't how the test was called exactely) and since that time I really have severe problems with herpes outbreaks on my lip. Apart from herpes my immune system works quite well, I don't know what the problem is!
m worried about Herpes on the lips. My ex-partner used to have Herpes labialis outbreaks quite often, and since I already have had HSV myself I was not worrying to much about kissing him while having outbreaks on his lips. I know that salvia sort of inactives HIV, so I'm not afraid HIV could be transmitted by kissing under those conditions.
The only thing is, that I'm not sure if he might have had an acute Herpes labialis outbreak while performing oral sex on me.
Refractory chapping may be one manifestation of herpes-labialis infection. Topical medicine will often be required for this. The most commonly used would be Silica Gel or Topical Acyclovir Cream.
Before embarking on a course of therapy, however, it would be wise to consult with a dermatologist, for if the infection leads to actual wounds, additional therapy, such as occlusion therapy, may be warranted.

This could be acne, allergic reaction to some substance, eczema or even herpes labialis. Whether the current lesions and the symptoms you had previously are the same cannot be said with surety.
It would be best to drink plenty of water, apply a medicated lip balm with sunscreen and replace any deficient minerals and vitamins in your diet.
You could take some oral antihistamine medications lie cetrizine or loratadine and see if it helps with your symptoms.
Hi guys, I've always been suffering from herpes labialis since I was a kid, however the most recent outbreak came with something new and unexpected, as I started feeling pain at my right eye and I experienced a severe toothache as well. The toothache is still going on after 4 days of damn pain. I'm wondering if herpes could have run through other nerves, the mandibular in my case:( what do you think?
Clinically, it very much sounds like Herpes labialis (cold sores; fever blisters). It can be triggered by sun exposure, fever, and stress (among other causes). Burning, itching or tingling sensation occur even before lesions appear. An outbreak in lip area starts with small blisters (vesicles) filled with clear yellowish fluid, on a swallen, red, painful area. Blisters burst and ooze. Finally, yellow crusts form.
Herpes labialis can be treated both topically and orally with anti-viral drugs.
The day after I experienced chills, leg fatigue, shivering, total loss of appetite, insomnia, hot flushes to the face, and herpes labialis appeared, but resolved in two days after topical Zovirax. Symptoms remain the same.
Obviously I severely anxious, scared, depressed and devoured by guilt.

1. What is my risk of contracting HIV?
2. Could the symptoms of ARS appear so early?
3. Could this herpes be newly acquired and do I need any test?
I had 1 red bump in my pubic hair region too. Does herpes sore appear as 1 red bump? That happened quite long ago, around 1 or 2 years. If it's herpes, will it come back agn? >.< I'm really really worried tho my ex-bf said he doesn't have herpes. Is herpes labialis the same as the genital herpes? the vast majority of people with genital herpes, don't have food triggers.
been seen every time you have symptoms to confirm that it's all herpes going on. also get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too.
unfortunately time doesn't make people have significantly less recurrences either for the most part.
I had a severe herpes outbreak (8 blisters everywhere) beginning April 24 when my eye doctor took me off of Acyclovir after nine years. The Acyclovir was used to prevent further flares in my left eye from Herpes Iritis. Now I am suffering from pain in the muscle and tingling in my right arm. There was a blister in that area which has now healed. My internist has diagnosed me (after MRI) as having bone spur puttting pressure on c-6 or c-7 in my neck and I am facing surgery for that.
I use acyclovir to and you must know that it doesnt take effect spontaneously especially the first time your using it. It helps relieve the pain though but might take some time to take effect. Just continue use it and youll see the sore will go away within 3-4 days instead of the usual 7-8 days they take to go away.
protected sex is a risk for hpv, herpes and syphilis. due to the brevity of your encounter, odds are you didn't contract anything from it.
did they do any basic urine testing for your symptoms?
does this sound like herpes? no it does not. acyclovir wouldn't work that quickly on a newly acquired herpes infection to make symptoms go away that quickly. far more likely it was irritation or even a mild fungal infection that went away on its own.
