Then I realized I can control it with oral drugs, so I changed insuline to actoplus and metformin 15/850 twice a day. Now, my A1C has been keeping at range 5.8-6.2 for the past 2 years. I read some paper about MODY a few days ago. Now I am worrying about if I have MODY. I am 29 now. I am the only one with diabetes in my family history. I am overweighted and my BMI is 2.75. Both actoplus and metformin work very well for me. Will you please give me any advice if I should go to do MODY tests?

hi all, i'm 32 yrs and i hav 3 kids, my last is 2yrs old. i hav PCOS, but not diabetic, jus overweight, maybe by about 40lbs or so. my dr put me on bc to help regulate my cycle, which it did perfectly, before tht, 8mths would pass i and i wouldn't get a period. i was on bc for almost 2yrs, but came off it cuz we want to try for another baby(my hus is not gettin any younger lol). a few days after coming off bc i started takin metformin, it's been about 10 days.

so i have 3 kids already they all came out beautiful an healthy im pregnant wit my 4 th child an the doc asked if id like a prescreen test for down syndrome so jus to be on the safe side i took the test i got a phone call yesterday saying the test came back positive , the nurse said theres a chance its false an i have 1 out of 850 chance that my baby has down syndrome. i want to know more r these test pretty accurate.

My medication is considerably higher than mine? Can you explain why? My blood sugar was running abot 137 so my Doctor also put me on Actoplus as well. My Lipitor is about $100 and my wife's Simvastatin is about $6 (same quantity of tables-30). Why should my wife be taking medication with her levels being slightly higher than the desired mid-point?

I am currently taking 850 mg of Gabapentin - 700 mg at bedtime and 150 mg at approximately 5:00 AM. I was originally prescribed it to help me with sleep during a taper off of Ativan, but it is causing me more harm than good at this point and I'm interested in at least reducing my amount before resuming an Ativan taper. Hi, I have been on Armoud thyroid for many years and over the last year taking a 120 tab and a 15 tab per day. About 6 weeks ago I started having heart palpitations and the doctor cut the 15 tab. I was ok for a while and then the heart palpitations started up again and one week ago he cut me to 90 mg a day. The heart palpitations stopped pretty quickly and right after that I developed a feeling of being lightheaded and really tired and have done little but lie around.

i have been on metformin for a week now i feel bloated and unsettled my breast have changed my vines show more and have changed colour now having pains in my side chould i be pregnant.

well we have been trying to get preggers again so i went to go see my obgyn and he gives me these pills called metformin 850 mg tablets,,he tells me i will get pregnant within the next 3 months,,i have not takin them because i have been doing research and im reading things like dont take if your pregnant or plan to become pregnant,.and these pills are usually giving to ppl with diabetes or with pcos,,which i have none of those,.

I know when I went in for my hcg the first test came back at 100, which was about 15 dpo. I did a home pregnancy test at about 12 or 13 dpo and it was a very faint positive. I went in 4 days later to retest and my levels were up to 850. I have no idea how this happened. I always had to rely on fertility treatment to get pregnant so it is still not true. I guess I will believe it when I see the heartbeat on the ultrasound!! Good luck and hope you get your bfp soon!!

Started at 1/2 tab = 7.5mg for seven days then up it to a full tab of 15mg. The half tab made me really "sleepy-headed" all the time. The full tab just about knocked me out for most of the day. My D.R. had me cut the dose down to 3.75mg = approx 1/4 tab until I can get used to the sensations. It's now about four weeks and I'm still the same way. I'm beginning to think that this isn't the right med for me but I'll give it a few more weeks.

im still on it, presently at 16 mg per day, 1 tab in the am and another tab in the pm, although for sum unknown reason to me, i will break a tab in half and take a half, then wait about 15-20 minutes and take the other half, seems to work better for me. i keep telling myself i have to get off of it, oh, just so you guys know, i have had ZERO relapses !! i HAVEN'T HAD ONE PILL since i started the sub.
