Actonel prescription saver

Common Questions and Answers about Actonel prescription saver

actonel

Avatar n tn I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

Avatar n tn I am a 59 year old female. The reading on my bone density test is minus 4.1 for my spine and minus 2.6 for my legs and hip. However, my doctor isn't prescribing any medication for me but tells me to continue taking calcium supplement and Vitamin D and come back in a year to do another test. Since I am obviously having osteoporosis, shouldn't I be taking any prescription drug? I am worried sick over the reading and need some expert opinion to go back and talk to my doctor again.

Avatar m tn Non-hormonal biphosphonates (such as Fosamax and Actonel) increase bone strength and are available as once-a-week pills. These can also be taken. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Memory foam mattress topper, it has been a life saver! I got it at about 23 weeks pregnant im now 34 weeks today. Sometimes itll still get so intense and tight that I can barely breathe so ill take a hot bath then put on a lidocaine patch and lay down. :) the patches are prescription only so maybe ask your doctor about them or try over the counter ones like icy hot maybe. Hope these work for you. Goodluck.
Avatar f tn t really work for me and I had morning sickness very bad, I was even hospitalized a couple of times and was given a prescription for zofran. Popsicles were a life saver. Also Pedia light, I use to freeze it in ice trays and would just eat it whenever I was feeling sick. Best of luck!

Avatar n tn Have you tried diclectin? It has been a life saver for me. I'm pregnant with my second child as well. Before taking diclectin I was sick all day, everyday. Now I have no problems. Diclectin is perfectly safe for your baby. You can get it over-the-counter at a pharmacy if you live in the States. If you live elsewhere you need a prescription from your doctor. Hope this helps. Hang in there!!!
Avatar f tn I am terrified of needles and I had the epidural both times, it was a life saver. It stings when they numb it but after that it's just pressure. You can get other meds, but I was so out of it from whatever they gave me I would never do that again. Afterwards I had pain meds in the hospital as needed and also a prescription for home also as needed.

12518439 tn?1446857092 Tell your doctor, he/she can tell you home remedies or write you a prescription. Protonix has been a life saver for me. Omeprezole is also good (and safe for the baby) and can be bought at CVS, Walmart, or Target.
Avatar f tn You should contact your doc to find out what to take or get a prescription for constipation. Normally lots of fiber and fluids such as water should help but if not...definitely call your doc.
720656 tn?1311040235 You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.
Avatar f tn Hi I have been taking it some I found out I was pregnant. It's very safe, but if you're unsure ask your doctor as it a vitamin b supplement, it also helps with the nausea.
Avatar f tn I swear by Zantac for all tummy problems. I even have a prescription to take double the max dose every day. (I have an invisible stomach issue that behaves like an ulcer and gives me pains that feel like contractions). I take it twice a day (hence it totals twice the max strength) and my stomach feels great as long as I stick to it. Over the counter comes in various strengths and the maximum strength even has an option that includes mint to give a cooling sensation.
Avatar f tn Thanks I will try it. I'm on prescription pepcid.. it does nothing for me. Everything I eat gives me heartburn.
