If you were my patient, I would be tempted to give you 14 days of progesterone (Prometrium seems to have fewer side effects) and then repeat the ultrasound before doing a biopsy. If you wanted to continue Vagifem, I would consider scanning again in 3 months to see if the lining was building up again. If so, you could stop the medication, or consider a small daily dose of progesterone.

You may wish to consider starting Metformin, because sometimes it can not only regulate cycles, but also help with weight loss. There are some side effects that you will definitely want to discuss with your doctor first, but it works well for some women.

I had extreme weight gain and nausea.Mood swings as well.But then again all women are diff.When I spoke about the weight gain to my urologist he said what are you taking and I told him and he said didn't they warn you that its a side-effect.I said no.Anyway it didn't work for me either.I was on it for 6 months with no relief.I have had partial hyst as well and many laps too. I am finally having hopefully my last endo surgery with an endo specialist.My endo has taken over.
I am very frightened to go through with the surgery due to severe side effects like losing my voice and memory. Is there any medication I could take instead of the surgery? Also, I have been on a hormone tablet called Primolut Nor 10 mg (it contains progesterone. I was prescribed this for heavy bleeding due to uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts) for 6 years. All my problems started after this. I developed tumours in my breasts, liver and now in my thyroid.
