Avatar f tn Anyone heard of low dose immunotherapy for treating lyme and co-infections? Specialty Natural Medicine in WA state offers this treatment for lyme. A detailed description is on their website. It's supposed to divert your immune system away from the bacteria. The thinking is that your body's immune response to the bacteria is what is causing your symptoms and that it is fighting a losing battle. It's a new treatment they say it has great success.

428506 tn?1296557399 I was wondering if anyone else has experience with low-dose (5 mg/day) oral hydrocortisone. Below I describe the role it is playing my treatment. My LLMD Rx-ed this based on my persistent, sometimes disabling, fatigue. At first I didn't take it because I was worried about potential immune suppression, since this is a steroid. But in a follow-up I was assured that this is a super low ("sub-clinical") dose. Plus I am still on abx.

4530502 tn?1360540494 The way LDN works is it basically works like serotonin which makes you feel good. It is basically like taking an antidepressant that is why it works for so many things. It is a low dose of a drug used to get people off drugs. You can't take narcotics while on it.
5627474 tn?1374148775 My dr suggested at my first prenatal appointment that I take a low dose asprin everyday for blood circulation. Because of my history of miscarriage. She thought it would be benificial in early pregnancy. Between the progesterone, prenatals, vitamin d, dha, asprin and calcium suppliments. Something worked. My 27 weeks now and I'm wondering if I should stop the asprin regamin now?
Avatar m tn Hi and Welcome! In your case, you are on such a low dose that a slow taper would really be effective for you. You may have some mild withdrawal symtpoms but they usually last 2-5days. I think you will be OK. Keep us posted!!
3093770 tn?1389739126 I am on 4.5 mg per day of naltrexone which is considered low dose. I have not felt better since I started interferon 14 years ago. Pain in the right side is gone, energy is better and I feel better. I also follow a triple anti oxidant protocol of ALA,milk thistle and selenium. Would not use LDN during treatment without a good deal of research. Dr Bernard Bihari pioneered the use of LDN and treated Hep C with LDN and interferon with success so you could google him or read the book Honest Medicine.
Avatar m tn Hi, im actually wondering if the low dose cyclopentolate 0.5% can only relax the ciliary muscles abit in some cases. If that actually possible, do we need to use higher dose to completely relax the muscles?
